Are you that writer for SI that picked the Indians to win it all back in 1987?, only to see them finish last in the old AL East ?
-
What an insult to Forrest Gump.

Can you at least wait until the regular season? Doesn't Milwaukee have the best record in ST right now? Think anyone is slotting them for a playoff spot this october?
-
Since it has come up on more than a couple threads this spring, can everyone try to remember something regarding our potential 4th starter: HE ISN'T THROWING HIS TWO BEST PITCHES AT ALL DURING SPRING GAMES. HE IS TRYING OUT TWO NEW PITCHES, AND THE LEARNING PROCESS CAUSES HIM TO HAVE SOME PRETTY NASTY OUTINGS. THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED IN VIRTUALLY EVERY ARTICLE DONE ON WHITE SOX PITCHERS THIS SPRING. So, until he warrants the abuse during the regular season(and he very well may do just that), please, I implore you, lay off Mr. Schoenweiss.

Well, since it was my idea, I'll get to be in charge of frisking all players to make sure there's no funny business.

Obviously, the solution here is to have an Isreal vs Palestine version of Lingerie Bowl. What do those Arab girls wear under those burkhas?????????????

Stay away from the hybrids--for now. The potassium hydroxide batteries they use don't have a long life(I think 5-6 years) and replacing them costs about $5000.

Uh, have you ever been to 95th and State? At 3:00am? Not good times.
-
My first car was a 1982 Honda Civic station wagon. IN 1993, I was driving some friends back to their dorm at UIC from the south side after a party in the late summer. It was about 3:00am when I dropped them off, and I turned around to come home. Around the 87th St. ramp of the Ryan, the transmission literally fell to pieces, and I steered over to the shoulder around 95th St. It was then that I realized that I wasn't wearing any shoes. I ran up the 95th St. ramp to the bus station (in bare feet) with only $.35 to my name. I found a pay phone and tried to call home. Nobody would pick up, and I had to hang up after 3 rings, so the machine wouldn't pick up and eat my last quarter. I finally got a hold of one of my neighbors, who graciously agreed to come pick me up. When I told them where I was, they said they hoped I was still alive by the time they got there.

Gefilte fish might be even worse. Love them kosher hot dogs though.

Is it anti-semitic to hate matzo-ball soup? That stuff is terrible, I'd rather eat monkey s***.

Soxguy-- I won't tell you to not feel bad, because you should feel bad, sometimes doing the right thing hurts bad. However, you're certainly not alone, this kind of thing happens all the time. And, you are doing the right thing, believe me. Burn no bridges, and be open to anything being possible down the road. In the meantime, take it easy, go getcherself a booty call when you feel up to it. You'll be OK.

I like Hamas, especially with pita chips. While all varieties of Hamas are exquisitely tasty, my personal favorite is roasted red pepper and garlic Hamas. Hamas is made from chickpeas.

Look, if you believe in the words of the bible, I respect that. Everyone has to choose the "path" that works for them. But there's a big difference between believing something is wrong, and insinuating that something is unviersally accepted as wrong. It's a big distinction, IMO, and that's all I was going after.
-
**No, people that call things "wrong" without a SHRED of indisputable evidence are what's wrong with this country Because a majority doesn't do it, it must be wrong? That's the most idiotic statement I've ever heard.
-
You're right, I did use the word typical. Because, it is coming more and more apparent that christians have this air of superiority about them, and think that their way is the only way, even though more than half of the world's people don't believe the same. I feel that most christians have this problem, hence why I called it typical. If you are christian, and understand that any other religion or anti-religion has as much basis in fact as yours does, therefore directing you to respect those other belief systems, then I wasn't talking to you.
-
If you are christian, and refuse to acknowledge the potential legitimacy of the beliefs of others, then yes.
-
Again, if your basing your OPINIONS on the bible, then they are simply OPINIONS. The bible says it, so it's wrong? Well, thank goodness this isn't a court of law.

Where the f*** do you get your data? I can tell you that a whole lot more people oppose it then support it, and I don't buy that as a "narrow view". From USA today: While 48% of those surveyed say allowing gay unions "will change our society for the worse," 50% say they would be an improvement or have no effect. It's pretty black and white to most folks that homosexuality is WRONG. Says you? Show me ONE piece of data that supports your baseless statements If people practice it, it's WRONG. They're WRONG. Typical arrogant, undoubtably christian jerk Every modern "religion" views it as WRONG. Few major religions directly say that at all(Help, Vince?) The only thing WRONG with your post is that you wrote it at all.

Most teams don't run much over left tackle, that is primarily a pass-blocking position. Plummer is righty, yes? So why would they ever have him move out that way, only to have to throw across his body?
-
Scouting Reports are opinions, nothing else. If he can start for 2 years for the Broncos, that's a good enough resume for me. However, I didn't know he was released--I thought he was simply a free agent. Was he released as a cap casualty? Or other reason?
-
Any player that can start for 2 years at left tackle on one of the best running teams in football, and learn from one of the best o-line coaches ever(Alex Gibbs), can play on my team any time. Nice job, Jerry A.
