  1. I still think Carpenter is going to be a bigger force than Hawk in the NFL.
  2. Personally, i woud love to have Culpepper, the guy would be the most talented QB in chicago in a long time. I dont see the vikes trading him to us however. I also saw that Javon Walker asked to be traded, I wouldnt mind picking him up either.
  3. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 10, 2006 -> 08:05 AM) Im curious where people stand on this sort of situation. When I was in school, this would be considered a harmless prank. Nowadays, its gonna be something like distributing pharmaceutical drugs without a license. Where do you stand? Harmless Prank or Inexcusable idea that needs to be punished? I think its funny honestly. Kids cant even pick on other kids today without a lawsuit.
  4. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 10, 2006 -> 12:16 AM) Ok, not too far from DePaul I think. south port between wrightwood and fullerton. Thursdays are the cheapest day, with the freshest wings ive found.
  5. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 11:58 PM) This is good...I've been wondering where the good places to go are here in the city. There were a couple of places I started getting into when I was going to school in Florida, but I really haven't gone looking here, and I want something other than bw 3 and hooters. More suggestions would be appreciated, North or South Side. I was just at the birds nest on southport tonight, and the wings were awesome. I split an order of 50 with my buddy, 25 hot 25 BBQ. They were awesome as usual. Also kinkaides on armitage is good as well, surprisingly. There are many good spots in the city.
  6. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 10:47 PM) Thanks for the scoop. Keep us updated if possible. Welcome to the board by the way. I ad no idea that was a wooden bat league. Great info IMO.
  7. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 11:56 PM) Actually I would rather we trade for Griffey Jr, Beltran, Vernon Wells, or any other quality CF... Immobile, Over priced, not available. What else now?
  8. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 10:55 PM) I'd rather have Sweeney be started in some games in CF to see what he can do now... It's obvious Anderson isn't ready... And Rowand started out as a corner outfielder too... SWEENEY FOR CF IN 06!!!! Let Anderson get his hacks in AAA... Sweeney cant play CF. I know you are hurt with the loss of Rowand, and you are mad at the heir apparent because you think his presense made A-row expendable, but just let it go. Anderson is our starting Cf'er, he is the most ready and most able defensively. That is all that matters, bar none. Sweeney will not play for this team while Dye is still affordable IMO. Its nice to see his progression, though.
  9. 2008 LF Owens RF Sweeney CF Anderson That should be the plan. Cheap, defensive, productive? Enough money to resign MB among others. I think it sounds good to me.
  10. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 05:20 PM) have you ever been to 'wing fest' it's been really crowded in past years but all the top wing chefs are there to do battle to see who has the best!! i would love to go.
  11. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) LOL
  12. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 04:52 PM) *elbows Rock*
  13. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 04:41 PM) I love the Ozz-a-roo. Clear as a bell: "Swing the f***in' bat." Thanks Comcast. I'm out. Have a good one all. who did he say that to?
  14. QUOTE(chisox72 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 04:32 PM) I am lovin' Fields. This dude is impressing me daily. His offense is looking good, I just want to see him improve on the defensive side of the ball. Also, Pablo has more than just speed. He can make contact, bunt, and field a bit as well. He is a former top prospects and has shown a hint of the tools that made him that highly regarded.
  15. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 04:22 PM) If you're talking wings in Chicagoland, the discussion begins and ends with Buffalo Joe's in Evanston. Ah, damn I forgot that one. I think you win, although I know you would like Birdsnest.
  16. QUOTE(J-MAN @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 03:40 PM) I'm not a wing expert(like Rock who is an expert on everything) but we had a great time - the place is fun and the sauces are interesting. The mango habanero was good - would be a fun spot to watch sports events - the joint was hopping. Not gourmet food but a fun place. Whats the problem here? Im entitled to my opinion dude.
  17. Fields is quietly having a solid spring.
  18. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 03:40 PM) Nice bunt by Mack. Runners at 2nd and 3rd with one out. Is there any doubt how huge of a pick up this guy was?
  19. QUOTE(joemg311 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 03:31 PM) How good of a centerfield does Mackowiak play? I was thinking that perhaps we got Cintron so that mack can play everyday in the outfield(mack will no longer be needed as an infield backup) He has proven he can play, is the starting job really Andersons? ANderson is starting, Cintron is backup for Uribe primarily.
  20. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 03:27 PM) Beggers can't be choosers, boy-ee. I will choke you in your sleep.... I do it for you fools when I work from home.
  21. Someone needs to be more specific on the PBP while we are at work.
  22. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 03:13 PM) Even better. I was just saying, this kid is damn good. His wrists are better, and he stopped tinkering with his swing.
  23. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 03:13 PM) What a spring this young man is having. Just like two years ago.
  24. QUOTE(quickman @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 02:58 PM) Rock buy now, houses is rising fast. Too fast. I saw that last time I was visiting. I will be there next week as well. Of course I just bought real estate in 60607, which was a pretty penny in itself.
  25. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 03:03 PM) I see you left out Gload. you know it.
