  1. I was there, sad sad night. At that point though, everyone was pretty excited about the new park. I went the the opening that day too, and all I could remember thinking was I wish I was next door
  2. Im in, I got to the weekend games anyway, but having a few beers over there would be cool. I take the red line so no need for parking passes for me.
  3. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 22, 2005 -> 08:37 AM) 22 lbs. in 4 1/2 months is really not THAT tough to do. That's like 22 lbs. divided by 18 weeks= 1.22 lbs. per week. That's not shocking weight loss people. In those pics it looks like he kept the muscle and shed all the pudge. Thats the point, you cant just shed the pudge. You gain mass and weight in mustle if you are going to work out that hard. Unless he didnt eat. And if that is the case, that he was just shedding weight, then he lost alot of muscle as well. Because muscle weighs more than fat.
  4. I wouldnt worry, he apparently hates pitching to teamates etc, he is a game pitcher I wouldnt worry. The only thing i would worry about is BMAC's control. Apparently he hit A-row in the back with a changeup
  5. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 01:26 PM) Sorry I have nothing other than WH: You look good enough to eat Boy.. what was that number to immigration again???
  6. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 10:55 AM) pudge, n. a short, fat person. The guy had some fat on him, it's not so wierd or difficult to lose 22 lbs. in the off season and it sure as Eff doesn't mean he was juicing. Maybe he was, but a 22 lb. weight loss on a pudgy guy is not evidence. This one is silly, gotta go. Yes, because all nicknames are given due to the dictionary's definition. Come on, he was just named in a steroid scandal, and somehow lost 22lbs. He is an athlete first and foremost and was never fat, he obviously lost some bulk as well, because when you lose weight, you dont just lose fat. When you lose fat you gain muscle and dont necessarily lose weight. He was juicing, accept it
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 22, 2005 -> 08:09 PM) There is no place for him to play. Obviously the guy wants to start. He ain't going to find it here. Agree, I dont think this is honestly worth a debate. Its not going to happen, its not a good idea, and its just a waste of time.
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Feb 21, 2005 -> 11:45 AM) You lost 23 pounds??? I;m gonna try that...I already drink a lot of water but I don't drink beer. I want to lose at least 10 lbs before my 1st game (late March.) yeah well pro baseball players arent living on taco bell and beer, they are already in good physical shape, and dont just lose weight like that. Especially 22 lbs, thats alot of weight to drop. Im sure we will see many players come to camp alot lighter than last year.
  9. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Feb 20, 2005 -> 06:44 AM) http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-doug20.html that is the coolest damn signature I have ever seen
  10. just like how ESPN.com ranked us below just about everyone, sounds good to me. im sick of being the underachieving team that is always ranked #1. I would rather have us be motivated than ranked. Nowhere to go but up
  11. And I dont believe it is very easy to hit a 50 mph pitch 500 ft. Its easier to go yeard when the ball has something on it. But if they sit back, he will "blow" his fastball by them. 1, 2, 3, He gone
  12. BTW, Adkins is NOT 5 11", I know that is what he is listed at, but I have met him several times, and Neal is a regular at a bar I work at, and Neal has more than a few inches on JOn. Jon is pretty short.
  13. all I know is we will be watching b-mac dominate
  14. Who cares, anyone who picks the indians ruins their rep right there. These "experts" even claim that Milwood will be more effective than in the NL, which is unbelievable. I would rather have no pressure and have the team gel, like the bulls, than have it like the last few years.
  15. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 12:27 PM) It should be Mark, equally talented as Freddie, but his tenure with the Sox should give him the edge. IMO. Mark doesnt have ACE stuff. I think Freddy is the ace with Mark being the most reliable. But as far as having the ability to shut down opposing teams, I think Freddy has more.
  16. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 08:50 AM) Year 1- Fail Year 2- Fail Year 3- Fail Maybe he should rethink his "charts" I was wondering when you would bust in on the KW lovefest. Haters can just smell boards and topics like this. At least KW does something, if he didnt do anything you would be b****ing about that too. I think out of all of the teams in our division, as well as the cross town crybabies we had the best off season. Good job KW, I look forward to his next move.
  17. even if you have seen him 6, 7, 8 times, the difference in speed of the pitches that he throws are hard for anyone to hit. His differentiation of speed keeps hitters off balance and it is very difficult to hit him hard. I think he will be fine.
  18. so....basically the Tigers are looking to add an overrated relief pitcher with a terrible clubhouse attitude, sounds ok to me
  19. QUOTE(shakes @ Feb 9, 2005 -> 09:52 AM) I can't wait to see how hard Millwood is going to get rocked in the AL. Thats what I am saying exactly. On average, a pitcher who switches from the NL to the AL gains at least a point in their ERA, so how does Millwood, who was not fantastic in the NL go to the Indians, and all of a sudden they have an ACE in their rotation. As far as I am concerned, Garland might put up better numbers than Millwood. Does anyone think otherwise???
  20. since when is pitching depth and Cleveland used in the same sentence??? Their bullpen is atrocious, and their starting rotation is average at best. I dont see it
  21. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Feb 8, 2005 -> 09:31 AM) The only time I don't is when I am off the baord.. otherwise.. the board is finally Creditable with me here.. Creditable-Deserving of often limited praise or commendation So yeah, your posts are deserving of a very limited amount of praise for sure. Unfortunatley you are arguing against someone who is credible-Worthy of confidence; reliable. Which doesnt bode well for your argument.
  22. I find it funny that those are the longest posts ever. Probaly longer than most work you have ever done. Well played!!!!
  23. I was just going to bring one of those huge checks with his name on it.
