  1. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 29, 2012 -> 04:34 PM) At least the OSU guy corrected the "then" to "than" from the LSU guy. Once again its not an OSU, Iowa or LSU "guy". Its a tshirt company and they've been notified legally by several schools so far.
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 29, 2012 -> 07:53 PM) Dan maybe a genius. It will never happen but to see him and Dr Will in at the same time would be interesting. He's the anti Will, but they are close in the best players to ever play the game. Neither of them win competitions yet dominate the game.
  3. The dude is worn down understandably. KW needs to bite the bullet and grab us another starter off waivers. I was surprised he didnt claim Bedard.
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 29, 2012 -> 01:39 PM) Those Ohio State "I would rather shower in Penn St than cheer for the Wolverines" fan shirts are classy http://jezebel.com/5938687/ohio-state-fans...n-state-victims That ONE fan that is not representative of entire fanbase whatsoever stole it from LSU Or it could have been Iowa Or MOST likely, an asshole trying to sell tshirts to huge fanbases.
  5. Its a good thing their game is on ESPN this weekend because IM positive the entire country is rooting for Ohio U
  6. QUOTE (kev211 @ Aug 28, 2012 -> 07:39 PM) I'm in the market for a 1TB external hard drive.... Price isn't an issue, any suggestions? Prices arent high for those anyway. I bought 2 different brands on amazon and both have been good. Just buy a reputable one. Also, are you networking it, taking it mobile or just handing it off a PC? On my note, 3 days, zero hangs on my Airport Extreme. So much better than that linksys so far.
  7. And after finally ripping my linksys wireless N router out of the wall and smashing it in the street I bit the bullet and bought an airport extreme. This thing better not hang like that piece of s*** did (ive been told it wont)
  8. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 27, 2012 -> 01:52 AM) I own a MacBook (for school) and have to use Macs at the J-School and still don't understand why the f*** Jobs got rid of the right click. He didnt, you can right click very easily by using your right finger.
  9. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 25, 2012 -> 06:49 AM) Is Addison Reed really a closer? I don't know if his stuff is deceptive enough to make people swing and miss. Am I crazy or does he just throw it hard down the middle usually? He looks very hittable to me. Aj called for nothing but fastballs which is why it looked that way, but his stuff is definitively good enough to be a top line closer.
  10. QUOTE (zenryan @ Aug 23, 2012 -> 09:52 PM) the NCAA isnt going to bust UK because they know they'll screw themselves with the APR score. Just a matter of time UK is sitting out tournaments like UCONN is because of all these 1 and done's. I would be shocked if UNC doesn't get busted which kills that theory.
  11. Anyone catch the All Access special on OSU last night? I wanted to run out and hit someone after watching it. So glad football is f***ing back, and this year I actually have a head coach.
  12. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 23, 2012 -> 11:30 AM) He played on our farm, we had to coach him in the minors as well as decide if he was worth a shot on our MLB roster despite basically zero MLB time before that. I consider finds like that to be very much along the same lines as a good draft pick. Same thing as Jose Quintana, really Yeah not really, he played in the majors before we got him. He is a Marlins prospect.
  13. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Aug 22, 2012 -> 04:05 PM) Really strange last 2 posts. The only reason people ever post on a message board is because something interests them. I just found it interesting how many people were seemingly fine with Flynn being anointed the starter. I would have thought it was much closer to 50/50, but who knows. Its obvious the Wisconsin ties brought you in, but that happens to everyone who is on this board, its no different. And I thought Wilson would have a great shot at starting out of the draft, what he did in a short time at Wisconsin was pretty amazing, especially given the new system, the run-happy offense, the horrible head coach (LOL), and still playing pro baseball.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 23, 2012 -> 10:40 AM) If Calipari thought they'd find anything serious he'd be in the NBA right now. He has time to bolt. He wont be at UK for more than 3 more years, Im sure of it.
  15. I thought the mention of Eric Gordon ended this debate.
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 22, 2012 -> 12:48 PM) Agreed 100%. My point being that while the Sox didn't technically offer him a contract, it's not like Mark had no say in the matter. While he wanted to stay with the Sox, once Miami offered those mega bucks, he couldn't say no. If the Sox had offered him the best possible contract they could, I doubt he stays in Chicago anyway. They werent going to make a serious offer to him after Miami's. I dont fault him at all, in fact I know firsthand that he was heartbroken to leave the Sox.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 22, 2012 -> 08:41 AM) No, I don't see a kindler, gentler Ozzie in that article, I see an Ozzie who is still obsessed with himself. And no, I don't think Ozzie's an entertaining guy...because Ozzie Guillen's teams keep playing bad baseball, in no small part because Ozzie doesn't have them ready to play/doesn't have any control or organization over his team, and I think bad baseball isn't very entertaining. A guy with a big mouth doesnt impress me nor is it entertaining to me. Those people are clowns and fade away when their act gets old. The only thing he has going for him is that he won a World Series 7 years ago, he should ask Bob Brenly how long you can live off of that one thing. There are many coaches in pro sports that are outspoken and honest and none of them do it with as little class as Ozzie does.
  18. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 22, 2012 -> 10:13 AM) And swamp ass during the climb! Dude, i've done two days of jumping lunges tabata-style 20 seconds on 10 off 8 times and I can barely lower myself down on the toilet. I can only imagine 2 hours of stairs. Quick ad based on your post for those that are sweaty bastards (I am) and dont like chafing or swamp ass. I've invested in a couple of different kinds of underwear and both have been great. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0034ORYN...ils_o06_s00_i00 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001390KM...ils_o06_s00_i01
  19. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 22, 2012 -> 09:32 AM) I think paterno's death is more likely caused by his lung cancer. They changed cause of death on his cert to "guilt"
  20. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 22, 2012 -> 09:55 AM) While in Vancouver we climbed to the top of Grouse Mountain. Felt very accomplished afterwards and the view was great. Trail Facts Length: 2.9 kilometres (1.8 miles) Elevation Gain: 853 metres (2,800 feet) Base: 274 metres above sea level (900 feet) Summit: 1,127 metres (3,700 feet) Total Stairs: 2,830 Statistics: Annually, over 100,000 people hike the trail. Average Time: On average it takes up to an hour and a half to complete the hike. For novice hikers, two hours is recommended. Participants: Hikers range in age from 7 to 90, with an equal male/female split. Thats alot of steps. I'm guessing there was some serious ass cheek pain the next day.
  21. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Aug 22, 2012 -> 08:06 AM) Unfortunately wont be able to hit Boulder. Going to Denver and Fort Collins for a wedding. I'll be hitting Tour de Fat in Fort Collins for sure though. Denver is pretty money though. If you are grabbing breakfast one of those days you HAVE to hit up Sam's no. 3. Best god damn breakfast around. They cover everything in green chili http://samsno3.com/
  22. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 22, 2012 -> 03:40 AM) You speak of Drew Brees, yet considering he played in a spread, you would think his collegiate completion percentage should have been better than 61.2% while never really getting better year to year. Matthew Stafford did improve each year he was in college, but prior to his junior year, no one would have guessed that a guy who completed around 53% of his passes would have been the 1st overall pick and a 5000 yard passer. Aaron Rodgers looked the part of a good, but not great, QB. And one of the greatest QBs of the last 25 years - who holds pretty much every passing record in the NFL - threw 9 touchdowns during his final year of school. But then there's JaMarcus Russell, playing in a run heavy offense, putting up a 67.2 completion percentage, throwing 28 touchdowns and 8 picks with a 9.1 YPA. He looked like a solid bet to be, at the very least, a serviceable QB in the NFL. And he's now considered the biggest bust ever. Nevermind that Brady Quinn had been putting up equally gaudy numbers his last two years at Notre Dame. You can find examples of this all over. You can't ignore college numbers, but they aren't an indicator of success, no matter the competition nor the system they were in. I'm pretty sure you are agreeing with me here but are using my posts as examples of why I am wrong? Color me confused.
  23. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 06:52 PM) However, if Seattle feels as though Wilson's size and/or tools would given them the best chance to win, then they should choose him. It would be hard to reach that conclusion, seemingly, since many other teams obviously did not seem to feel that would be the case. We all know draft grading is not the most accurate, there are plenty of good to great QB's in the NFL that fell because of height or perceived arm strength issues. Drew Brees was considered a midget with a noodle arm that only put up numbers because he played in the spread. Its all a crap shoot. I personally think Wilson was underrated as he put up good numbers in a run-heavy pro-style offense with only one year of that scheme under his belt. His learning curve was off the charts IMO. Not to mention this was a guy who was playing pro baseball up until the NFL draft. Thats unreal.
  24. The most interesting part of the whole story is that Bielema took credit for "developing" Wilson as a QB.
  25. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 02:59 PM) Junk-ballin lefty with a good change up? That is the kind of guy that gives the Sox fits. Now there is one guy I would NEVER boo when he comes into town.
