QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 12:17 PM) This is a big debate within my circle of friends (who run a blog at www.nowloadin.com if anyone is interested in a lowkey gaming site). I distinguish commercial success with achieving something meaningful for gaming experiences. IMO w/ the exception of the initial "zomg! i can fake bowl with this controller," I'd argue the motion control has been a pretty big flame out. What has that really added to REAL games? Think of the Wii's best games and none of them use the motion control for anything meaningful. See also, sixaxis/move. Same with Kinect. It sold like hotcakes because it's fun to stand there and move your hands about and interact with little mini games. And the technology is pretty amazing to watch. But it won't translate to "real" video games. Kinect showed Knights of the Old Republic on Kinect. Who wants to stand and waive their arm around like an idiot for hours and hours? Like the Wii games, it's fun to try, but in the end you sit down and fake the motions. Despite their marketing attempts, I just don't see that stuff translating beyond party games, which for them makes good business sense because it gets the casual gamers' money. But for "actual gamers," it's all a big gimmick that doesn't add anything. I abandoned the PS Move months ago. It really doesnt add much to the games you will play most of the time.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 12:20 AM) I can't imagine my 6'6 frame could look right on one of those things. Yeah, you would need a large bike for that height most likely. I am 6'1" and a standard fits me just fine. The little 250's i just got my license on werent very comfortable.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 09:52 PM) http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6637444 I'd love to know how Ohio State football is not a case of lack of institutional control. For the record, I don't think they'll end up being sanctioned for that. But it wouldn't be hard to argue they should. The policies and procedures seem to have been in place, but it doesn't seem like they were being monitored or enforced. If someone knew about violations, then it will be. Of course using a "source" thats not reliable hasnt been very successful thus far, at least for SI. -
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 10:52 PM) Oh yea, I would to, just curious if it's a legit option if I move to the city in a year or so. Would save on gas and parking, which is insane downtown (can't even imagine paying over $250 a month to park). I basically only drive my jeep when I have to go somewhere for work etc. In the city, its my scooter right now 80mpg and now the Ducati. At least the bike will be able to handle the highway I want to expand out a bit. It saves me TONS on gas and the parking benefits are awesome when I go anywhere within 50 blocks. You dont need the zoned permits either.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 09:30 PM) This isn't directed at anyone here, but now that it's hot out, it's officially "ride around like an asshole and ask to get killed" motorcycle season. Probably not wearing helmets. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 10:46 PM) Would these be safe going from the city to the suburbs on the highway? Obviously there is an inherent risk when it comes to bikes, but can these bikes handle that speed? Yeah, it can get enough speed, but it's mostly going to be city driving anyway. And I'll gear up like a mofo either way.

Update to this old thread. Just purchased a Ducati Monster Dark today. The 2 wheel bug bit me and I needed to upgrade. New beast gets upwards to 50 MPG

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 05:31 PM) vs Miami. Guarantee they reopen up the Clarett case. Everyone dismissed him because he seemed crazy back in the day. Bet you they take a look at them again and go deeper. LOL. I guess the jail time never convinced you huh. I'll be waiting on pins and needles for your "guarantee" to come true. -

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 05:13 PM) Meh. You really can't name the other team champion because you don't know for a fact they would've beat the team that would've been allowed to play in the game which is why I think they are doing this. I see similar fates to OSU and Auburn in the future. And what title would OSU be vacating? -
Did anyone see the guy who caight a foul ball witho one hand in the 3rd?

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 04:04 PM) What was he trying to accomplish with that anyway? Sore losers flop and blame losses on things like "missed" calls. Is golf the only pure sport left?

I ran into, or walked by my old ex from HS/College today. I didnt figure out where I knew her until she passed. Very awkward as we both ignored each other.

Apparently at least two current Buckeyes are suing Sports Illustrated for defamation because they were "named" as players that have traded items for tats. One player, Storm Klein, doesnt even have a single tattoo. http://ohiostate.scout.com/2/1076671.html -

I'll admit it, I turned the game off and watched something else and went to sleep. I gave up. But what a great surprise in the morning.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 2, 2011 -> 07:56 PM) Haha this is a CLASSIC example of what I was talking about. Derrick Rose cheated on his SAT, yet nobody says a word. Had he received some cash or a car, the perception of him would be completely different. I dont think it would to be honest. People would still love him. -
Did ab ripper, barely sweat. f*** I hate this s***. 4 more days until I can get back at it.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jun 2, 2011 -> 12:40 PM) I've never met a Canucks fan. I've met plenty of Boston fans and that's enough for me to say Go Canucks. They are the worst expansion fans of all time. Their damn most famous Canuck is a coach b****ing at the refs.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 2, 2011 -> 12:38 PM) Monta Ellis? s***, too good to be true. Other than LeBron/Wade, Ellis/Rose would be as good as it gets out on the perimeter. And unlike Gordon, Ellis is not a total defensive hack. Though he's lacking. But he's really active and athletic and could thrive under TT. He would be someone you would have to sub out for defensive purposes at times, but at least he can generate offense.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jun 2, 2011 -> 11:44 AM) Am I the only one here that wants Vancouver to win? Yes, because you are clearly ignorant as to how much of a f***ing pain in the Ass their team and fans are.
