  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 10:33 PM) I preach exactly what Felix has said. Rose shouldn't be taking so many 3s. It doesn't really benefit him to be chucking so many up at a mediocre percentage. He can shoot 3 of them per game instead of 5 and guys will still play close on him at the perimeter, giving him a good chance to blow past his defender. Rose's mid-range shot is pretty good. He really needs to go back to that more (like 2-3 times more a game) instead of shooting the 3s. I'm not saying Rose should shoot less necessarily, because the Bulls need him to shoot 20-25 times a game to win. It's really just a shot selection thing. I don't know if I agree with Felix that Paul is necessarily better, but there's nothing wrong with what Felix has said. Just because he's not a Bulls fan doesn't mean his opinion doesn't matter. When you have to go to dissecting 3 point s*** rate to prove a player is better you have already lost the battle. If you had a discussion with anyone in the NBA about who the top 3 players are, is Paul even in the conversation? Nope. Rose is.
  2. Lol, yes it's legitimate that someone who hates the bulls would not like their best player. But arguing that a guy who isn't even in the MVP conversation is better than the 22 year old clear favorite is moronic.
  3. QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 10:22 PM) Yep, let's take a massive s*** on my point and ignore the gist behind it, while taking a shot at the team I root for. REAL productive. Your points are moot since you are a terrible hater. You should enjoy watching winning basketball.
  4. QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 10:10 PM) You guys act as if it's mutually exclusive. Efficient players can be closers. You don't have to chuck up 25 shots a night just to finish off a game. Once Rose realizes this and stops settling for the long contested threes, he'll take his game to a much higher level. Blah blah blah I hate the bulls, their fans, and Rose. Go concentrate on the draft.
  5. Highest paid player in the NHL just got benched for the second playoff game in a row
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 02:29 PM) Let's be clear though...the latter is only true because that's how the laws have been written. There is no a priori reason why that has to happen for the technology to work. There's no obvious reason why the privacy settings in phasebook, or in the ifone, etc., have to be "automatically set for less privacy" where you have to opt-in to increase it. Encrypting recorded data could (and probably should) be the default setting. Not sharing everything on facebook ought to be the default setting. Not having the government collect and store all your emails probably ought to be the default. Zuckerberg always wanted the member's data, they'll never default towards sharing less.
  7. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 02:09 PM) I think they're equally troubling. They also clearly know where your car is all the time as well. With technology comes a definite decrease in privacy.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 02:05 PM) I'd bet a lot of people aren't aware of or understand that option in iOS4. Those people also probably wouldnt be able to figure out how to use the location information. I guess if someone stole your PC and really wanted to know where you were the past few months that would be an issue. I find it a much bigger issue that the cell phone carriers are tracking and storing remotely your GPS location information. Thats a much bigger privacy issue IMO.
  9. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 02:02 PM) But what is the purpose of it and why haven't users been informed? And why is it unencrypted? Its only unencrypted if you didnt check the box on the backup options when you sync your iphone. My data is all encrypted, and then encrypted again by me.
  10. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 12:54 PM) Senator Franken's letter to Steve Jobs They need someone to explain to these guys that the location information is only stored on the computer that you synch your device with and can only show location data when paired with an ap. Its not like you open a file and theres a map of everywhere you go and what you do.
  11. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 11:07 AM) They switched defenders on him(wasn't Fisher the whole game) and he basically just disappeared in the 4th quarter. Wasn't one of his better efforts, that's for sure. Kobe was all over him when I was watching the game, wouldnt even let him walk down the court without the ball. It was a nice strategy from the Lakers.
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 10:39 AM) This is already being incorporated to a limited extent. Yup, I even checked into my flights with my phone and I got an e-ticket that they scanned from my phones screen. Ridiculous.
  13. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 06:59 PM) Who is even out there in terms of managers? Ryno?
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 06:58 PM) To me, it didn't look like he jumped into the wall. I actually give Hawk for not making it sound like the greatest play ever (which the Fuld catch last series was). It wasnt the greatest ever, but Matt Joyce shouldnt have been able to make that catch. Of course he did.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 06:54 PM) He didn't have to jump as early as he did. Even after jumping, he didn't hit the wall. It was a good play, but one most outfielders make. He most definately hit the wall. It was a really nice play, long run, nice catch. Not many RF'ers make that play routinely.
  16. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 04:52 PM) Ozzie finally got the middle part of the order right. Need to move JP and Becks out of the 1-2 and we are cooking.
  17. Marmol blown save. I wonder if they are calling for Quades head after that.
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 10:40 AM) Don't make excuses for those morons. WSI is one of the worst message boards on the net. I know we don't agree all the time (more like never) and I drive most of the mods crazy. But ten seconds on that piece of s*** site makes me appreciate you guys a hell of a whole lot more. Yeah, they are the worst. I hate that Cubs fans routinely go over there to get a better understanding of Sox fans. Its literally the worst place to actually view Sox fans opinions.
  19. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 03:06 PM) But the article states that Apple is using triangulated cell towers to track and record your movements. No GPS necessary. Better hope you aren't cheating on a spouse! just encrypt your backup data. she'll never find out
  20. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 02:49 PM) Pardon my ignorance, is the phone logging your ever movement 24/7? Is it storing that data in a place that is easy to access/unencrypted? who knows. Your GPS location services is actually sending out your location through the air to a server in a data center. I'm sure its encrypted at some point, but that doesnt mean s***. The gov can access that information easily.
  21. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 02:47 PM) Can't get more American than Jonny Toews! Which is the person the Nucks fans say is the whiniest in all of the NHL.
