  1. I'm glad I was at the gym when the s***ting on Danks was going on. The guy has been great thus far this season.
  2. Death is nothing compared to some text messages or phone calls to recruits.
  3. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 03:43 PM) Oh come on now. How many of these pain related setbacks since the start of spring training? Three now? And how many people thought he was going to pitch before June? He was way ahead of schedule and is now regressing towards the original schedule.

    2011 TV Thread

So im about 4 episodes into season 4 of Friday night lights and I'm not sure I like the change in the show. Did it really need to start being based on race relations?
  5. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 11:53 AM) And yet, here were are, still waiting for this guy to throw a meaningful pitch for the Chicago White Sox. This season. You are declaring setbacks before they even occur. Might as well wait a little bit before we decide he's not going to pitch this season. The guy had a serious surgery in the offseason and we're b****ing that he's not pitching 3 weeks into the season.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 11:47 AM) Joey Crawford is the Ed Hightower of the NBA. He has to make the game about him and what he is doing. The guy just makes games go the way he wants Then they pair him up with a female ref and it gets even s***ier
  7. Just let the Nucks close them out and call it a season.
  8. First it was a shoulder and everyone was sure he was done, now its his lat and everyone is sure he is done. How about waiting for some actual information?
  9. QUOTE (WCSox @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 04:15 PM) I think that was Opening Day 2003, and that was probably the worst baseball experience I've ever had. My wife and I left about an hour into the rain delay, when the rain began to fall harder. As we were walking down the upper deck ramps, the wind picked up and it began thundering and lightning. By the time we got to the car, it took me about 15 seconds to open the door because I could barely move my fingers. After then getting stuck in rush hour, we finally made it up to the north side and watched the game with friends up at Goose Island. That game was awesome, they served beer for like 6 hours.
  10. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 09:06 AM) I have never seen this much talent on a roster, and UK could match them talent wise if they return Knight and Jones. Yup, entire squads full of McD's AA players. Should be a good year at the top level of NCAA bball.
  11. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 10:32 PM) No, I'm saying that the Bears make it difficult for Joe Average to be more than a TV fan of them. The Colts and Lions have nosebleed seats for 20 bucks - the Bears do not. Plus, new Soldier Field and its s***y turf is a joke compared against new stadiums. I've never paid over 100 bucks for a ticket to the Bears. For an 8 game season, I dont expect to pay 20 bucks. I pay the same for a Bears game as I do for a Buckeyes football game, I assume thats the price you pay. And if everyone is so sure a new team would sell out, why cant our "second" baseball team that has recently won a title and has a TON of history, sell out our ballpark. The Bears would be much harder to compete against than the Cubs.
  12. QUOTE (Real @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 07:11 PM) Wasn't that his first full year as a starter though? Compare that to Danks first year. LOL . Drool over those numbers. Lol. You didn't even know his numbers outside of 3 starts this year did you. Hilarious, maybe take a look around the league and make some more declarations. Sam Fuld is the next Rickey Henderson isn't he?
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 07:08 PM) I think its time we all admit that Gordon Beckham sucks. It's April.
  14. QUOTE (Real @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 06:43 PM) Every team in our division has a pitcher better than anybody we have, save the Royals (though will that be true next year?) I'd take Masterson over anybody in our rotation Lol. Yes, his 4.70 era last season really had me drooling.
  15. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 07:41 PM) s***ty field, stupid looking stadium, jacked up prices, horrible ownership... I'd at least watch a second team if they were in the AFC. Plus, I might actually be able to find decent seats. so are you more of a stadium fan than a fan of a team? BTW, the inside of Soldier field is pretty awesome, far superior to the venue it replaced. And pretty much all NFL tickets are jacked up, unless you want to move to a city that really doesnt give a s***, and thats actually pretty hard to find.
  16. Well, get the young guys some more playoff experience and take it easy in the offseason.
  17. Every GM in the league would laugh at a Paul for Rose trade proposal. Maybe we should start a "true" PG debate again to try and compare someone to Rose, because thats really the only angle anyone can try and use.
  18. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 10:40 AM) Gardenhire: A manger who knows what he is doing. If something is broke, fix it. And yet Twins fans treat him just like we treat Ozzie. The grass is always greener.

    i am drunk

Vegas this weekend, chances of drunkenness 10000%
  20. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 11:06 AM) Yeah mixed with water it's kinda gross, I usually mix those drinks with 1% milk. But then again I'm looking to add weight, not lean out. Right. I am trying to hit a leaning out phase so I am taking in 40 grams of protein per shake at 160 calories. Very different intakes there.
  21. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 10:41 AM) Any advice for an alternative to the P90X Yoga? That one is too long and way too boring. Yes, he has a better yoga routine in his 1 on 1 series. Can you download it? Otherwise I have it as a vid file. As for the question above. Choc milk is fine to mix with it if you are trying to build mass, the choc milk will actually aid your recovery because of the carbs it contains. However if you are trying to lose weight, you are taking in a ton of extra sugar and calories you prob dont need. In that same thought, muscle milk isnt really great for you if you are trying to lean out.
  22. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Apr 14, 2011 -> 03:46 AM) I assume you're referring to my post earlier. Those guys I mentioned about Arenas, Francis etc. those are your worse kind of shot first PG's for the reasons you've mentioned (and why they've never been on teams that are successful). Quite interestingly though, look at Gilbert's best season as a pro compared to Rose's season. Arenas - 29.3PPG (9.3/20.9 at 44.7FG%), 6.1 ASS's and 3.7 TO's. Rose - 25.0PPG (8.8/19.7 at 44.5FG%), 7.7ASS's and 3.4TO's. Those numbers aren't too far apart at all, except for Rose's higher assist numbers (as he's obviously a better playmaker). I gave you a nice list of scoring PG's including one with very similar stats to Rose. Yet you continue to use a 2 guard as a comparison.
