Why. Would they bring out a pitcher that is so fresh? Dammit Ozzie.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 03:46 PM) You're right. It was an excellent choice to bring him back out. He did a superb job. Nice answer. Who cares about the actual pitches thrown when you want to prove your point.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 03:40 PM) It hasn't even been 24 hours since Sale last pitched. They played a game quite late last night, he pitched 2 innings, and they trot him out the next afternoon? Which manager does that besides Ozzie? None. Which one of his pitches was affected by fatigue? The two hard fastballs that were out of the zone or the nice breaking balls down that were all hit.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 03:37 PM) Can't disagree with this statement. Why not try Thornton one last time since he's fresh and had a 3 run lead? And yet he brings in Matt, he gives up hits and this board is saying the same exact s***.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 03:36 PM) At least we can all agree, this time it's 100% on Ozzie, since Sale pitched two last night I dont agree.
-
Our luck in the 9th is ridiculous, its not like the pitches were meatballs. Fastball out of the zone, double breaking ball down-single fastball up and out of the zone, single WTF.
-
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 02:01 PM) So you're saying Ozzie won't ever give a don't steal sign ? I find that very hard to believe. A dont steal sign? Not sure how that works. Plus getting picked off doesnt have anything to do with signs, its reaction time and recognition by the player.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 01:51 PM) Ozzie ball!!! Getting picked off has nothing to do with anyone other than the player.

Danks hitting 93 on his fastball

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 12:58 PM) Oh ya, 'tis what I've been doing. My diet is about as perfect as can be at this point and I work my ass off in the gym every day. I'm getting there, just still have work to do. My weakness is my diet, good most of the time but the random sox game, or weekend totally ruins it. To get really leaned out you need to cut out booze almost 100% which is tough for any of us to do.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 01:11 PM) had an italian sausage the other night....awful 2 years ago and before they were so good...then last year they significantly decreased in quality, and monday it was almost inedible where did you get one? The club level has an unreal italian.

I had the Cuban Comet sandwich last night. Holy hell it is a DONT MISS item. Located in section 152 i believe. Right next to the Tex-Mex stand that was turning out 2lb souvenir nachos.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 12:31 PM) It's crazy because that was my initial reaction too. But I'm 6'3 170 now and have a solid amount of muscle and still haven't lost all the fat off my tummy. No idea how that's possible, just an extremely odd body type I guess? It's weird. Diet, diet, diet. And a s*** load of core work (not crunches)

Canucks fans are literally the worst. Last playoffs they referred to the Hawks as thugs who just bullied their way to the Cup, and now they are already b****ing about refereeing that hasnt happened yet. Enjoy your first presidents trophy you expansion team f*** heads.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 11:34 AM) So much for an Oden/Bynum matchup blossoming over the years like I expected. Yeah no s***.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 12:05 PM) Just because it doesn't personally offend you doesn't mean it doesn't offend a lot of people in the gay community...or even the straight community. Some people are just waiting for something to be able to make a point for their group, something like this is one of them. Based on my friendships in that gay community I can honestly say none of them give a s*** if Kobe Bryant called a ref a f**.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 11:18 AM) Holy f***! Brandon McCarthy? I really hope you stick with your workout, though. I only say this because every single weekend I hear of about 5 new people starting P90X and nobody ever seems to follow through on it. It takes some heart and some serious balls to workout everyday, and especially with the intensity required by P90. Its just like the gym, look at all the new spring time new members and watch them taper off as soon as the end of April hits.
-
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 10:34 AM) Well, I'm doing P90X, so that gives you what routine I'm doing. I'm 6'3" and weight ~160 lbs, so I'm looking to add mass. I've used Muscle Milk in the past (it's what they had at Meijer and I still have a decent amount left). It's the chocolate flavor but I don't really know that I have a preference. That was what I was going to recommend for mass building. They also have Monster Milk, which is ridiculously high in protein and can really help you add some size. They also happen to be the best tasting protein out there, so people really like it. Its not for leaning out which is why some people will rate it negatively. I really like their cookies and cream flavor as well as peanut butter chocolate. Here is the Monster Milk http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3592524
-
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 10:19 AM) Also, anyone who can recommend a good protein supplement that'll also help put on weight, I'd appreciate it. Sure. What are your goals exactly? What are you looking for in a protein? And finally, what are your taste preferences?

QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 09:57 AM) Yeah, they haven't been taping the Jerry Springer show for a while now, have they? Zing!

Got to watch the replay and saw myself on TV, its been awhile. Funny thing when Pierre handed me the foul ball Sweeney hit, he immediately remembered I was the guy giving him s*** since the pregame. I then sold the ball for $20 bucks to some old man.

2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread

If it was any major program it would be headline news with many articles with negative spin. Since its Iowa State, barely a mention. -
QUOTE (DBAHO @ Apr 13, 2011 -> 07:51 AM) Rose and MJ play in different guard positions (so they're completely different players IMO). And the league's leading scorer isn't really much of an argument (when it depends on the player, what position they play, the talent they play with etc.) Rose still has a way to go to get to MJ's level as well. He's still got to win in the playoffs before you can start comparing him to MJ. My point is for scoring point guards, when you look at the likes of Gilbert Arenas, Steve Francis, Stephon Marbury etc. they never came close to succeeding in the playoffs because they were on average teams and they don't play defense. And they didn't make their team-mates around them any better. That's what a pure point guard like Chris Paul can do, he makes his team-mates better. It's similar to what Howard's done in Orlando this season with what Paul did back in 07-08 because the overall talent level of those teams without those 2 players is pretty sub-par to say the least. Actually Jordan played a ton of time at the point, even though he was listed as 2. I'm sure you know that though. You brought up some nice and also some strange names to make your point, although I'm not sure those three prove that PG who CAN score are detrimental to their team. For an opposing point, I submit these names: Tiny Archibald-averaged 20 and 8, led the league in scoring Kevin Johnson -18-9 Clyde Frazier 20-6-6 Bob Cousy 19-8 Isiah Thomas 19-9 Oscar Robertson 26-9.5 Magic Johnson 20-11 Compare to player X: 25 points 8 assists And just for fun, Player Y: 27-6.7

QUOTE (klaus kinski @ Apr 12, 2011 -> 03:40 PM) Teahen and Pierre manning the left side. Can we play left field closed? And I will be in attendance right between them giving them the business.

Maybe Polite as well now that I think about it.
