  1. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 04:55 PM) White Hen effing Pantry No f***ing s***. Dont try to fool me with you "deli" sandwiches 7-11, I know that s*** is frozen and flown in.
  2. QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 04:47 PM) Saw this on my FB today....Founders Red's Rye PA will be at the Cell http://www.foundersbrewing.com/the-lineup/reds-rye-pa AH, people love that brewery. They have events at Haymarket frequently.
  3. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 04:33 PM) Hell yes...that's like EXACTLY what I eat there, but I'll throw in a pretzel with cheese once in a while, too...and some peanuts. Me too, im a peanut fiend. I'll finish off an entire bag before they cut off booze. Its great until I s*** a payday later that night.
  4. Leake's strikezone is 3 feet wide, and that not an exaggeration.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 03:44 PM) Get a brat. What else do you need? Polish Grilled Dog Elotes Brisket
  6. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 03:35 PM) Even when the Pizza was Connie's at the games, it was bad pizza...it wasn't real Connie's and tasted nothing like the real thing...if anything, it gave Connie's a bad name...because pizza at the park sucked, and I don't care what brand it was supposed to be or who made it...it was bad. Besides last year, it wasnt that bad, the sausage pizza was damn good for a ballgame. Last year they went to some s***ty thin crust, it was awful. As for the Cubs. Simple cost cutting move that is going to be disguised in marketing bulls***. For example, how many people on here could eat a large Connies pizza in one sitting fairly easily? Because I could eat a Dags pizza in literally 10 min and not even be full. They are also MUCH cheaper. The Vienna Beef move is a good one considering they used balll park and before that, ekrich hot dogs, terrible. And my section is right by the beers of the world, I kind of like it, especially since they had Oberon and Coors light. I'm hoping they only take the Coronas, Becks etc out of there.
  7. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 01:57 PM) going to my first ever bulls game today , i have a parking pass for red top parking, has anyone ever parked there? im interested in knowing if you get boxed in or you get you're own spot? ive seen parking lots by the cell(like the hotdog spot by there) offer parking but you're completely boxed in and cant get out until other people get out Red top is usually a block away just east of the stadium, theres actually a ton of free street parking right there if you didnt have the pass. Generally cars do not get blocked in.
  8. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 12:15 PM) Based on last years results, maybe... But that' just not how baseball works. If you end up playing a bunch of easy teams when they're on white hot streaks, so much for that...and I've seen it happen enough times to know that "strength of schedule" really means, luck of the draw. Just as easily, you could play a stretch of "contenders" that are on losing streaks, which equate to some free wins. Well, thats the only data you have to use to evaluate such things. There are cracks in every theory.
  9. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 11:38 AM) To me that's a stupid way of looking at it, especially when you talk about a 7 game series. A team that is supposedly the best and has the most potential crushes it during the regular season and then loses in the playoffs. Another team struggles in the regular season and then turns it on in the playoffs to win. On the one hand we say, oh well they were a fluke team that got hot, they were not the best. But on the other we somehow accept that the "best" team lost and still consider them the best? How does that work? I dont think you can compare professional playoffs with a single elimination tournament anyway.
  10. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 11:34 AM) Source? That schedule is not easy in April. We have the easiest schedule in the AL, September being the easiest month. If there was ever a time to go for it, this is the season.

QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 11:43 AM) Just a guess, but it's probably easier to film at Midway. Since O'Hare is more recognized as Chicago's airport that's what they went with. Only noticeable to us Chicagoans I'm sure. Between that and the terrible attempts at chicago accents, I feel they should hire me as a consultant.
  12. As a response to when I first posted this garbage, apparently a lip reader took a shot at translating the song, and the result was pretty good:
  13. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 11:07 AM) I don't see how you can be excited if it's based on Peavy even just being dependable. Regardless of how the Sox front office wants to paint it, peavy's "setback" is a major disappointment. We have 12 games (8 on the road) against the Yankees and Rays in April to go along with a 3 game series in Detroit. Phil Humber is the 5th starter, very scary. We have the easiest schedule in the AL.
  14. Finally sunk some time into CoD Black ops this weekend and beat it on the first two difficulties.

QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 27, 2011 -> 11:26 PM) So on Shameless, I guess O'Hare looks a lot like Midway Airport these days? Yeah, I was wondering, didnt they just say American Airlines at O'Hare, and then they zoomed in on the very recognizable Midway airport security line, and airport that doesnt even service AA.
  16. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 27, 2011 -> 10:28 PM) So for the next 5 weeks(until May 2nd) I've decided that I'm going to completely give up partying(drinking, going out, drunk meals) and 100 percent focus on my nutrition/exercise program to get me to exactly where I want to be. I'm going to allow myself to eat a slice or two of pizza once a week but besides that, it'll be completely healthy eating. I've figured I've come this far so I might as well go all out to reach my ultimate goal. And for the people that know me, giving up partying for a week let alone 5 is pretty difficult for me. Going to be real tough but I got everything set up and I'm going to get this done. Good for you dude, one cheat day a week isnt going to derail you as long as you dont take down like 2 large pizzas and a bag of doritos.
  17. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 28, 2011 -> 09:13 AM) So Mike and Mike on ESPN, one of the dumbest radio shows out there, had a debate this morning about whether the tournament is "good" for deciding who the real "champion" of men's basketball is each year. In essence, Greenberg was arguing that any team can make a run and win, but they wouldn't be the "best" team that year. I for one think that's stupid logic. I understand that teams have bad draws/matchups, that teams get cold and lose a game they would otherwise win, but that's the stakes for everyone, and over the course of six games, those "flukes" are going to even out. If VCU ends up winning the whole thing, then guess what, they ARE the best team because they played the best basketball over the last 3 weeks of the season. A bartender on saturday was actually saying that this year's tournament is a good argument for the BCS as something that determines champions.
  18. Im toast in all brackets. Still need some people to pay for the yahoo bracket, need the money by the championship game please.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 01:08 PM) Mourning was only 6'10". He played pretty big though.
  20. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 01:04 PM) May played 11 games as a freshman. His sophomore year, he averaged 15.2/9.8, and his junior year he averaged 17.5/10.7. May also blocked the ball a bit better too. I don't think either comparison is outlandish. Nobody knows what Sullinger will do in the NBA until he actually gets there. Seems to me that Sean May ate himself out of the NBA, and that's something that Sullinger can avoid pretty easily so long as he doesn't get that 7th double cheeseburger from McD's. It never hurts to have expected and worst case comparisons though. Sullinger was actually a bit lighter than he was listed this season as he lost a bunch of weight before the season started. Its safe to say that players with that talent level and who have shown coachability should improve year to year, and I expect that out of Sully. He still hasnt shown much of his midrange game in college quite yet which he liked to display in alot of AAU games in HS. Regardless, you cant place a comparison on a kid between a freshman and someone who has spent 3 years in college, there is a giant leap that these kids take between their soph and junior seasons generally.
  21. Just watched that Rose MVP vid. Who would've thought Stacey King's largest contribution to the Bulls franchise would be as an announcer.
  22. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 12:37 AM) Actually IU had no returning scholarship players. They brought back 2 walk ons. Thats never happened before in NCAA basketball history, and it happens to one of the bluebloods. Looking back, its kind of a miracle to see what Crean is doing. If I was Painter, I'd bolt for Mizzou. Purdues best run ever = IU locking down the state more than it ever has? What a slap in the face. Purdue is going to be in serious trouble if Painter doesnt start competing for some players. You already have IU locking up most of your state's top talent, and you have OSU, MSU, ILL, Wisconsin, and Mich looking to be better than you next season.
  23. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 12:56 PM) Just off the top of my head, Kareem Abdul Jabaar, Ralph Sampson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Bill Walton, Alonzo Mourning, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Moses Malone, Rick Smitts, Shaquille O'Neal, Robert Parrish, Mark Eaton, Dikembe Mutombo...might be missing a few more but damn. Just a few hall of famers in there.... And some serious shot blockers that you didnt even list. Not to mention they were allowed to mug players in the paint on the perimeter back then.
  24. QUOTE (zenryan @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 09:18 PM) Posey and Pryor are morons for returning. They should have just left even after they were forced into that stupid promise. It was the only way he would let them play in the Sugal Bowl, I'm guessing it was a snap decision. If the information is true about what may come out, they may be an afterthought anyway and lead OSU back into rebuilding.
  25. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 10:37 AM) btw, Tony Allen was quite a b**** last night. I wanted Rose to dunk over his ass and pound his chest but the opportunity never came. Allen still ran out like a b**** trying to evade the "Stabbing" on the court he was threatened with a few years ago.
