after watching a couple older episodes yesterday i'm a bit disappointed because there are just too many unanswered questions for them all to be answered IMO. i know some bigger questions will be answered (ie who is jacob, what exactly is the smoke monster, etc) but there are so many unanswered questions. maybe its the shows way of misdirection, or to keep people watching, but for instance...will we ever find out what the deal was with libby in the mental hospital? maybe we actually will, maybe we won't, maybe it wasn't important. i am just beginning to get sick of new questions every week when so many are still out there. one question i have that relates to the story currently....what happened to Farraday? last we saw him, he was walking through the sonic fence with sawyer miles and juliet. the other three all woke up and became part of dharma thanks to sawyers lafleur con, but conveniently faraday is left out edit: when jack gets to the island he asks sawyer if faraday is there and sawyer responds "not anymore"...im sure there will be more to come regarding that

i always thought the guy got a bad rap as far as being a clubhouse guy....i wasn't thrilled with him as a player, but i loved his attitude. i believe he had problems with swisher, who seems more concerned with being a celebrity than anything else, but i always thought cabreras attitude was a good thing, even though he got knocked for it alot.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 27, 2009 -> 03:33 PM) Its not dead arm, its way too early. He's probably just having a s***ty game, unless he's hurt. Richard was inconsistent last season too, from outing to outing. He's still adjusting. I hope he stays in the pen until he can consistently keep pitches down, and consistently deliver his breakers without hanging them. its not at all too early for dead arm...this is the exact typical time pitchers go through a dead arm period, a week or two before the start of the season....though i think you are right in saying thats not the problem...clayton just didnt locate, and when he does that hes gonna get rocked

1.) no way anyone gets to that ball hill hit on the line... 2.) Dye is f***ing unbearably slow in the OF 3.) Richard and Carassco aren't good enough to not throw strikes and pitch ahead.... 4.) i think its within the realm of possibility now that Richard goes to AAA and Williams breaks camp as teh second lefty in the pen edit 5.) any cub fan who says kasper and brenley are less of homers than hawk needs to put the crack pipe down
-
im surprised to see Carassco locked into a spot, but he was huge last year for us...i think MacDougal makes it personally, and i think broadway is the first one called up during the year if something happens or carassco or macdougal suck

QUOTE (rangercal @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 08:02 PM) Reggie Miller just called Derrick Rose a loser and they lost partly due to his "missed free throws" . Rose went 3-4 http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=284000063 I loved Reggie vs the Knicks, but he is a douche. well he did miss a FT with like a minute left that would have won the game...but you are right millers an asshole

marquez up with everything ....and probably pitching himself to AAA -
its too late to do now, but I wish the organization foresaw the CF problems in advance and looked the potential middle IF surplus, and had getz (or ramirez for that matter, which i've been clamoring about all spring) try playing CF....he's certainly fast enough to cover alot of ground out there, and a switch from the middle IF to the OF for a guy with good speed certainly isn't unprecedented (upton, biggio, alexei, hell the organization did it with shelby)....if getz has a nice year here in 2009 and KW doesn't fix CF, I wouldn't mind Getz working there next offseason and spring with beckham riding his heels...though Maybe Alexei in CF and Beckham at SS is just as good...though ultimately i think this is a band-aid type idea...but right now our CF situation could desperatley use a bandaid

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 26, 2009 -> 11:02 AM) It's really sad that we'll likely have to wait until then. i honestly have 0 idea what more this kid has to do this spring to earn the leadoff spot Post a obp over .400 - check Hit over .300 - check Walk more often than striking out - check Flash well above average speed running the bases (ie legging out a double, going 1st to 3rd) check Hit both lefties and righties - check but nah nevermind, we'll look at Wise and Lillibridge at leadoff the last 2 days, because, ya know they have a combined 1 BB and 30 Ks and both have obps under .300 this spring to go with sub .260 obps in their major league careers having guys with such brutal obps at the top of the order will cost us so many more outs over the course of the season, which is why i want CF to be brian, batting 9th -
Rosenthal: Melky Cabrera is on the block; Sox would be good fit
daa84 replied to DaTank's topic in Pale Hose Talk
the article doesnt actually say we've expressed interest in Cabrera either, just that he'd be a good fit here... -
