  1. Young fast 2 way players aren't on the market. They aren't as easy to find as most people on this board think. If you shred the bullpen like that who do you replace them with? There aren't that many internal options as we've been witness too.
  2. Let them revoke it. They are so many high quality competitive trams that I'm sure another league is just waiting to start.
  3. It's tough to find backups that excel at both. If they did, they would be starters.
  4. Franchise value and wealth are 2 very different things. You can't spend franchise value until the team is sold. Franchise value does nothing to help a team win.
  5. The top expert trainer may not know anything about baseball. He probably did all of this and is in great physical shape. Problem is it doesn't appear to have been tailored to baseball activities. Probably more just to increase power and mass.
  6. This will never pan out the way you think it will. No owner is going to spend their own money on the team payroll. It's all relative to the revenues.
  7. Possible, but who would have been a better replacement? Everyone want Burger gone due to defense. Is there a better option?
  8. At Bob's Country Bunkhouse!
  9. Is it trying to swing less hard or have the leg injuries decreased his power? Tough to generate power without leg strength.
  10. Sociopath? That's a little strong. He is too loyal to his employees according to most on this board.

It happens all the time. Bit as someone else said it's usually in specific circumstances such as older player, injured etc. It just so happens that they have so many injured players that it's become nearly a team wide order.
  12. It appears so. Although last year, Engel, Robert, Grandal and Lynn had significant leg injuries.
  13. They all do something. Nobody neglects the workouts. I just wondering what they did.
  14. Grandal admitted that the issues in the Spring robbed him of the base he usually has going into the season. My guess is that he is missing so much time now because they realized he needed to rebuild it. Who knows with Moncada.
  15. It's possible. I'm not sure if it's patience or resignation. I'd love to look at the off season strength and conditioning program for the players.
  16. It's tough when the team is missing most of its lineup. Yesterday the team started only 5 of its projected starters for the year. I'll reserve final judgement when they have at least 7 or 8 of their projected starters available for an extended period of time.

You are looking at this from the wrong perspective. Players get injured. Here is what it should read: Imagine an organization so lacking in depth that they need to play players that aren't even 80% healthy so they need to not play 100%.
  18. You are thinking far too rationally. Don't jinx the game title.

Sure give everyone the revenue from the YES network and a 250 million payroll and the teams will improve.
  20. No doubt. But should TLR blame him if theyvwould have lost as you suggested.
  21. So you want him to call out players publicly? I thought the board was against that and it should be kept in the locker room.

In the bleachers is wasn't until that swinging bunt.
  23. But then who comes into today's game? Kelly is not ready for back to back games.
