Crochet hoping to be a starter
Not from scratch but he hadn't pitched many innings in a season to begin with. The most he has ever pitched in a season was about 65 and that was 3 years ago. His build up will be slow regardless if it is on the minors or MLB.

Crochet hoping to be a starter
Hate to tell him this but the path will be the same as before. He is not going to automatically be a full time starter just because he had a UCL reconstruction. He'll still need to build up innings from the beginning.

Haseley called up, Foster to bereavement list
Hitting in Charlotte does wonders for offensive numbers.

6/17 G/T White Sox v Houston 7:10 Chgo Time lift off
Stretching is not really done much anymore as it's been shown to increase muscle injuries. The dynamic warmup is much more effective.

Injuries
Don't know if I would call it load management when there is an injury involved.

Hendriks now to IL with Right Forearm Strain
Muscles weaken with age, grips change now that there is no sticky stuff. There is reason for concern but not necessarily doom and gloom but that is the default setting for this board.

It was a joke.

VV Reinstated; Crick to IL
It changed with the latest CBA. There are now a finite number of times (5 I believe) that a players can be brought up and sent down in a season.

Hendriks now to IL with Right Forearm Strain
Maybe they were counting on not having to pay it all and let insurance cover it.

Hendriks now to IL with Right Forearm Strain
Actually if he has it he knows what he feels like, it's a good sign.

Hendriks now to IL with Right Forearm Strain
Good article. A year out makes sense for a correlation to the forearm strain.

Hendriks now to IL with Right Forearm Strain
Was that at the time of initial incident or long term down the road?

Hendriks now to IL with Right Forearm Strain
Most likely. But that isn't always a sure thing. It is the practice of medicine not the science of medicine. We aren't always correct.

Probably. They always tell the story of how loose the ligament maybe though.
