  1. Not from scratch but he hadn't pitched many innings in a season to begin with. The most he has ever pitched in a season was about 65 and that was 3 years ago. His build up will be slow regardless if it is on the minors or MLB.
  2. Yes. Because you said could they win an easy game for once. It's been more than once just recently.
  3. Prove no. But shows they can.
  4. Didn't they just win games 13-0 and 7-0 recently?
  5. To show that the Sox can play with some of the best teams in baseball. Regardless of what all of the media and fans who insist "its just reality"are shouting.
  6. Maybe but again you do everything you can to try to keep them as starters. Always go to long than move them too soon.
  7. Yep. Unless they score more in the 8th.
  8. Hate to tell him this but the path will be the same as before. He is not going to automatically be a full time starter just because he had a UCL reconstruction. He'll still need to build up innings from the beginning.
  9. Starters are more valuable. Do everything you can to keep them as a starter Ala Crochet.
  10. You'll be there too one day.
  11. Hitting in Charlotte does wonders for offensive numbers.
  12. Stretching is not really done much anymore as it's been shown to increase muscle injuries. The dynamic warmup is much more effective.

Don't know if I would call it load management when there is an injury involved.
  14. Let's not forget Brandon McKay Kip Bouknight Jason Jennings Khalil Greene Mike Zunino
  15. Muscles weaken with age, grips change now that there is no sticky stuff. There is reason for concern but not necessarily doom and gloom but that is the default setting for this board.
  16. It changed with the latest CBA. There are now a finite number of times (5 I believe) that a players can be brought up and sent down in a season.
  17. Maybe they were counting on not having to pay it all and let insurance cover it.
  18. Actually if he has it he knows what he feels like, it's a good sign.
  19. Good article. A year out makes sense for a correlation to the forearm strain.
  20. Was that at the time of initial incident or long term down the road?
  21. Most likely. But that isn't always a sure thing. It is the practice of medicine not the science of medicine. We aren't always correct.
  22. Probably. They always tell the story of how loose the ligament maybe though.
  23. Hand is probably still swollen.
