Cease and Graveman to Restricted List; Crick Up
Exactly. When we thought it was a true vaccine it was important. Now that we know it doesn't stop transmission and it's more just to decrease your own symptoms, go ahead and make yourself sick. Except for my students, they can't afford to miss a week of classes. We still are strict with masking and hand washing.

Eloy rehab starts again 6/21
They guys in the minors are not the same as the MLB. The same doctors will be consulting with them though.

TA out 3 weeks
It's a good timeline for a moderate Grade 1. 3-4 weeks. You can bet that there will be more days off those first couple of weeks off the injury.

That would do it. For this since it's not too bad of a strain the seat is probably really high so as not to flex the hip too much. That what would cause your discomfort. Not to much the knee flexion but the hip flexion to get it there.

TA out 3 weeks
Riding a bike isn't all that tough for a groin injury. They are more involved with side to side and cutting motions. While it's a good sign, it doesn't necessarily mean anything concrete.

TA out 3 weeks
I don't know about that. They've had 2 hamstring injuries that required surgery. Thise are fairly rare and significant.
-
TA out 3 weeks
Yes it is. I wonder if they did any STEM cell or PRP injections.

TA out 3 weeks
Anywhere from day to day, to 4 weeks, typically.

TA out 3 weeks
Theoretically all teams should be. Unfortunately, reality bites.

I wish the rest of the team was into yoga. I'll wager there would be fewer muscles injuries if they were.

TA out 3 weeks
They are very subjective. Grade 1 is a mild injury with no fibers torn Grade 2 is up to 50% of the fibers torn Grade 3 is 50%-100% There is a variability. This is one most allied health professions use. They also will estimate it using how much of a deficit there is with ROM.

TA out 3 weeks
No. In the "groin" muscles, surgery is rare even for a grade 3 as none of them have a long tendon like the hamstrings.
-
TA out 3 weeks
Yes. Thise are varied from mild to moderate so they are usually 2-6 weeks.

TA out 3 weeks
I wonder what my thoughts would have been 15 years ago when we would be complaining about only winning the divsion?

TA out 3 weeks
You to define stretching. Passive stretching, which I grew up with, where you are in a position and try to lengthen the muscles has been shown to actually cause more muscle injuries than it prevents, unless you have a significant decrease in range of motion. It has also been shown to decrease power and performance during athletic activity. Dynamic stretching such as monster walks and high knee drills are the best activities to get the muscles ready for athletic performance. However your overall point that there needs to be a significant overhaul in their off season training is right on point.

That is a good sign.

TA out 3 weeks
I'm saying that's the most likely worst case. Until most information is released like the grade of tear it's impossible to give an accurate time table. Most significant muscle injuries fall in that timeline. I only saw the clip afterwards and it looked like a significant injury but there us no way to tell for sure unless you are there to test it.

TA out 3 weeks
Most likely 8-12 weeks is usually the most conservative estimates. I wouldn't think it more than that unless surgery is involved.

Kinda tired of the revisionist history on this site as people complain
That's fine but would you not have drafted him because TA was at short?

Just because you think that doesn't make it right. Detroit also drafted Torkelson high. Apparently there are a few MLB GMs disagree with you. Besides that wasn't what you said. You said don't draft him because he was blocked. Which implies don't take the player you consider the best because they already have an MLB player at his position. Which is always wrong.

Drafting for need and not the player they consider the best is a mistake everytime especially in baseball where the hit rate is so low.

Kelly to IL (strained hamstring - out a monthish); Banks up
They still get at least some.

Kelly to IL (strained hamstring - out a monthish); Banks up
All depends on the deal they get. The bigger the contract the less of it that is covered. I was just estimating.

Kelly to IL (strained hamstring - out a monthish); Banks up
That's about 1/3 of the contract insurance will pay.
