Your concerned about the health of Giolito, Cease and Lynn but you insist they should have retained Rodon?

How about giving him more time than 10% of the season before we declare anything?
  3. I did that when my daughter was an infant because it was the only way to get her to fall asleep. ?
  4. No they don't as no one uses that in workload calculations. If you want to go include all of that every pitcher throws close to 200 innings with warm-ups, between innings and side sessions. It's all relative to previous workloads which is tracked by pitches or innings.
  5. When did he pitch 150 innings? He had around 135 last year and needed time off to do it.
  6. Vaughn ended last year with back issues due to the long season he wasn't used to. You are still going to see a fair number of days off for him.
  7. I agree they should have brought someone else in. However it would have needed to been someone they could count on for the season lime Manea.
  8. I think the off season training programs is a variable as well. The increased power type training Ala Kopech is becoming the norm and I don't think the subsequent decreased flexibility is being addressed. Baseball is one sports that has very quick full range motions that add a unique stress to tissues. As with anything player unique body types and genetics allow some to tolerate better than others. However overall I think it could be an issue.
  9. Does it matter? People seem down on Jimenez because he is always hurt. However this doesn't seem to apply to Rodon. We will take what we get from Rodon but not Jimenez.
  10. All of this is true. There are too many variables to pin the injury on it. Personally I think it was just the lunge on the bad throw from grandal.
  11. They just didn't want to blame grandal on the bad throw to the mound. You could see the grimace lunging for the bad throw.
  12. Could be. I would think he has enough on his plate just working with the pitchers. What happens after the ball is hit would be the purview of the others.
  13. This is good. Keep the pitchers stress lower until the end of the month.
  14. I wouldn't think the pitching coach would be involved in that. That's more the analytics and infield coach's job. They would know if the pitcher throws inside to the hitter his % of pulling it is x so move the infielder. The pitching coach just works on how to pitch to the given hitter.
  15. This seems so bizarre. I still can't fathom the hamstring tendon repair that would take only 6-8 weeks from which to recuperate. It must just be a partial teat and they are going in and cleaning it up. It's not technically the knee but the hamstrings cross behind the knee to attach to either the tibia or fibula depending on if uts the medial or lateral hamstrings. They do remove part of the semitendonosis to use as a graft fir certain ACL reconstructions. Maybe it's like that and they are just using it to augment the tendon.
  16. The hamstrings crosses behind the knee to attach to either the tibia or fibula.
  17. Distinct possibility. Back issues can cut short the follow through and tend to make the ball stay up.
  18. You can make the same case for Robert. He's hurt himself twice running to first.
