  1. As long as it is consistent with other first time offenses, it's fair.
  2. Remember the year Alexei Ramirez was uncharacteristically bad and we found out the next year he was going through a nasty divorce? You have to wonder if something like that is happening to TA. He's always been somewhat lackadaisical but not this bad.
  3. Because it's not just a contusion.
  4. With the weird hamstring tendon surgery he had who knows how it will effect him. Probably good to rest him from catching more.
  5. The humidity for the ball will be constant this year so it will be interesting to see how the environmental humidity interacts with the ball.
  6. Defense. SB were 100% against Kopech last year. There is more to the game than just hitting.
  7. The good hitters aren't exactly producing now, that's the bigger issue. If they were counting on the above players to carry them that's one thing. But Grandal, Abreu, Robert and Pollock are exactly hitting well either.
  8. We need to hold him to his promise of not being negative all the time. He tends to dig himself a hole as you are pointing out. They have too many good players to be this bad for offense all season. They may not be as good as we thought but they won't be this bad. Only 2 players currently have an OPS over 700. That won't last.
  9. Why do you think they won't score enough runs? Do you truly think that every single hitter will have their worst season ever and regress from the last 2 years? Because that's what it will take. Every hitter in the lineup is currently well below any previous season performance.
  10. Ah, that's true they only list average. So it probably only is truly the batted ball.
  11. That's the way I read it. It when the at bat ends on the next pitch so you could add sac fly/bunt and hit by pitch as well.
  12. Typically, they wait about a week before any strenuous activity after the injection. The report was dated May 6th. So it will probably be Thursday or Friday before they even test it with hitting.
  13. Don't put it on him. I'm just messing with you. Its me being the pain in the rear end not him.
  14. If you want to get really picky, you could interpret it as the "next month" from May 5th so it would be the games during the month of June. June is the next month after May. ?
  15. He commented over the next month on 5/6. To me it begins when he said it . He didn't say in the Month of May, he didn't say during the typical increments that most people measure baseball. When my friends and I make bets its accuracy that matters. You can do whatever you want.
  16. Its not my defined stretch if games. Its what he said. If you are going to call him on it be accurate.
  17. He said the next month and posted it on 5/6 so the games in May prior to that don't count. Count 5/6-6/6.
  18. Paraphrasing Lao Tzu. Sounds like Hahn though.
  19. They've always done it. TLR has just been one who does it much more than most. It's not new for him.
  20. Maybe Velasquez is the most important pick up of the year. RH doing a deep dive on the stats.
  21. I said they don't necessarily do it. Not that they never do it. But they always let the players know well in advance for planned days off.
  22. Those who live in the past suffer depression . Those who live in the future suffer anxiety Only those who live in the present can truly be happy.
  23. They don't necessarily make lineups days in advance but they do inform players on planned days off.
