  1. I'm surprised he hasn't
  2. he just struck out 2 straight. give the pitcher a chance to finish that inning
  3. I agree with the wins and the playoffs. But the over reaction to every little thing does no good. This is a young team learning how to win and it's going to be filled with ups and downs. Enjoy the ride instead of focusing on the immaterial minutiae
  4. Could be, but its not from a lack of work or work ethic as laziness implies.
  5. Not that I necessarily disagree because of the way he is hitting right now. However, overall this is a great deal of complaining (not you but everyone) about a player who has a lifetime OPS under .690. If the Sox passed up on Grandal to sign McCann this board would have exploded.
  6. I don't think you'll ever hear anyone who knows Renteria call him lazy.
  7. Isn't he a lawyer?
  8. It's really difficult to beat blood testing when they now test for levels not specific substances. Not saying it can't be done but it definitely is not wide spread, short of microdosing.
  9. Ok. Interesting that Hahn is the one discussing the situation of who may be the starter on Wednesday not the manager. Is that more accurate?
  10. Interesting that Hahn is making the announcement of the starter and not the manager.
  11. He has hit 30 every year for about a decade. He comes to a home run park and cant hit homeruns.
  12. The Madrigal doubters are serious.
  13. But its a real precipitous fall off then. Almost all of hem had a good year prior to signing. Dunn, LaRoche, even a guy like Keppinger came to the Sox and had a career worst year. Look at the start of EE and Grandal. I don't mean tthat they even have to be in their prime and have a career year. They go from being pretty good to just awful and career worst years. They don't decline they jump off a cliff.
  14. I'm impressed you can determine this after 83 at bats for Mendick and 17 at bats for Madrigal.
  15. It's good to see he can go back to back days and be effective. I think this is the first time.
  16. Unfortunately, too many of the Sox pitchers live up their with their high spin rate, good carry 4 seamers. Maybe they should try pitchers to the hitter's waekness instead of the pitcher's strength occasionally.
  17. He only threw 25 pitches. I guess we'll see how durable he is.
  18. No doubt. Young teams go through this. Teams that rely on power do this. Hopefully they learn and grow.
  19. Probably but that's not the job of the coach. Which is probably why he isn't doing them anymore.
  20. Only popular when there is complaining to do. Wait until a pitcher gives up runs. They'll be back. It's just like student evaluation of instruction for our courses. The only ones who complete them are the ones who want to complain.
  21. They were hilarious. He will defend his guys to the end and give it to the guys you go after them. That's what a coach does.
  22. TA said the same thing. TA told Fegan "we've sucked for the last few years. We've heard plenty of these types of speeches."
  23. This is the ups and downs of an offense totally built around power. 3 days of only 2-3 hits and 1 run followed by games with 4 homers and 9 runs. The Cubs have had this issue for a couple of years.
