The difference I that Ichiro had tremendous power. He just choose to go for batting title and hits and sacrificed his power. Madrigal doesnt have the power capability. -

Interesting Ozzie quote on Cooper...revisits Castro quote

I dont know if its soft he is getting at as much as that with new analytics managers just read an iPad and have no feel for the game. That's what I thought he meant. However with Ozzie you never know for sure. -
Agreed that there is no upside to talking to the media. However, the problem is that people will get on him for not talking then so there really is no way to win in the current pandemic situation.
-
This is the problem with talking to reporters. Would it be better if he just answered no comment. People would rip him for not talking to the public then.
-
The NFL owners want to hold back 35% of the players salary going into the season because they aren't sure if there will be fans in the stands. This sounds somewhat familiar hmmm.
-
I disagree. Everything he said is a fact. They are no different than any other business owner. They have drastically reduced revenues for this year. This will alter the operating budget for next year. I don't see what the issue is for some people. He didn't complain that he can't go to Europe or buy a new mansion. A reporter asked in this pandemic will effect next year and he replied that he is worried that it will.
-
Really? I'm the only one I know that will even consider the owners side. Everyone is highly biased towards the players side. Maybe I need to get out more.
-
Or the players refusing to negotiate off of full salary when revenue are drastically down. Or having the union negotiators agree to a deal and Boras and his "upper union management" not agree to it.
-
he and boras are going to have fun next off season.
-
That didn't take long.

LIAR, LIAR! Owners make a crapton (it's an industry term) of money all the time. (two quotes from different movies in one sentence)

The sox have a lot of guys who use a wide open stance hitting.

Watch the follow through of keuchal. That is how it done to dissipate all of the forces throughout the body.

Their primary competition is DC Cab.
-
Great to see him take the initiative to contact the Sox about playing.
-
Mostly dead is not not dead. There's a big difference between dead and mostly dead. Mostly dead means he's slightly alive.
-
Maybe a good year to try the computer ump for strike calls.

Right on the greater trochanter. Those hurt

I think the name will be red tails. There was a comment that the name isn't announced due to trademark negotiations and I know the Tuskegee Airmen own the trademark. Hopefully the Washington franchise donates money to the organization for the right to use the name.

Provided you can already have the talent to throw 100 mph and have a devastating slider that would be a fine program to get your arm ready to throw 3 competitive innings without getting injured.
-
You can do that on your own. The smart ones did. A bucket of balls and a net along with upping your therband exercises would do it. Plus they are only expecting 3-4 innings for starters to begin the season.
-
He did but some of them are his own fault. If he really had issues of "ramping up too quickly" maybe he should have done what other pitchers havedone and worked out so he was ready to go 3 innings when this abbreviated spring training started.

I think the article is saying he hasn't had a comment and most people have assumed it's the mental health issues. However, it is not related to mental health issues and he basically didn't want to pitch out of the bullpen.
