  1. That's interesting. Every job I've ever had allowed me to carry over up to 5 days to the next year. I would lose anytime more than that.
  2. Machado doesnt want to play third, thus he will not sign with the sox to play third.
  3. That wasonly because he fogot how to throw frim second to first. They were hoping the OF to home would be easier for him.
  4. Well at least everyone isnt blaming KW for all of the bad moves.
  5. Sorry, i hit the 6 to many times. It was first 166 games. But yes, the OPS was .640.
  6. I would disagree. If Kopech and basabe become All-Stars, I think it would be a win for both. BOSTON got what they needed, an all star pitcher right now. The Sox will have gotten what they needed, 2 all star players when they project to be good. Granted if Moncada flops, there is no room for error with the other two.
  7. Yes. He needs to adjust to the pitching. This is usually what separates the successful players. The ability to constantly adjust.
  8. No the Sox must wait for the extra year of control. No bringing up players in the middle of the year.
  9. CTE Is just one variable in the entire process. Since most of the heavy PEDs have been removed from the game, it will help dramatically. This is the point that all of the CTE attackers don't realize.
  10. I disagree that he can only hang his hat on the contract extensions. The Quintana trade and the Eaton trads were longstanding. Getting highly ranked pitching and hitting prospects in and individual deal is a good trade. Getting 3 pitching prospects for a single positionplayer who couldn't stay healthy was great as well.
  11. Agreed. The only caveat would be if JR had always insisted that he continued to go for it. He didn't have much to work with. I Could see JR giving him this chance to rebuild the team if JR never let him try before. By all "expert" accounts he has done well with his acquisition of talent. Soon the results will be the determining factor.
  12. Agreed. That why all of the success or failures are for the front office. Hahn doesn't make all of the good decisions while KW make all of the bad ones. If the rebuild doesn't work, they both should go. Since Hahn has the GM role he is responsible more for the MLB club and transactions as KW has other responsibility to the minors as well.
  13. Do you really think so little of Hahn that he would complete a trade that he absolutely didn't want to do and was forced to do? Why would someone work in that environment? Maybe it's the Sith Ken Vader imposing his force will on Hahn Solo to do his bidding.
  14. Is it possible they actually work together as co workers and value each other's opinions?
  15. In otherwords some pitches are too close to take, even if he thinks it's a ball.
  16. Still makes no sense to me. The best relievers should be used in high leverage situations, not no one on and no one out. It's just lime using a closer in the ninth all the time with no one on and no outs.
  17. The only right answer is that whichever opinion KW has is the wrong one.
  18. Mike Caruso did. Of course, he never did again.
  19. Wrist contusion? I take it he was hit on the wrist by a pitch.
  20. Especially with the players Who have recurring injuries.
