  1. Keep your nose clean ....... and stay out of the sex clubs!!!!!
  2. Well, the dude was going to have "French Mountain Oysters" but he couldn't find any of those either.
  3. Do, you! have. an' obsessive; compulsion: about? punctuation
  4. Come back anytime. You and a couple of others who have visited have represented the M's fans very well.
  5. It's based on observations of situational things. Areas where you could almost always count on Garland to implode, he appears to be getting better at getting through them. He's also beginning to stretch out his appearance beyond the 5th or 6th inning more consistantly. What you are seeing, I believe, is the gradual maturation of JG into a legitimate major league starting pitcher. He'll still have his bumps in the road, but he is beginning to acquire the intestinal fortitude that has been lacking.
  6. Shingo no go. In fact, we've speculated on the possibility of acquiring Hasagawa. That would set our bullpen up nicely. But yes, we'd take Guardado off yours hands too. I mean really, what do the M's need with a closer?
  7. Veritek will finish the season with the BoSox. Kendall would be a nice addition. Another catcher that may be available is Benito Santiago.
  8. And to think, we traded a talent like that to the Cubs.
  9. The same thought crossed my mind. It's like Garland and Loaiza have switched roles. I know I'm more confident when Garland is pitching.
  10. Mel Stottlemeyer
  11. Kendall would definitely be an asset. He'd have to be charged up about actually being in the race. With that said, I still think Finley is THE bat we need. I'd settle for Beltran though.
  12. Timing is everything!
  13. I agree, but I'd put Joey B in RF.
  14. I think it's at 8 now .... and counting.

I can't believe dumb ass Kenny traded Ginter for that bum, Timo.
  16. Politte, lately, has been much more effective than Cotts. Plus, that single he gave up wasn't exactly smoked. It just had eyes.
  17. I wouldn't be shocked if Clemens ended up in the AL before the season is over. It would be for only 2 months, then he could re-sign with Astros next year if he so chooses.
  18. Those are Cub fans and they are acting like Cub fans. I'm saying if you are a Sox fan, ACT LIKE IT. Don't throw anything on the field of play.
  19. Hey ... I thought of that possibility and was talking to a coworker about it just a couple of hours ago. However, if I we're Clemens, I'd ask to be traded to Boston. If he comes in there, with Pedro and Schilling, and those 3 can break the curse of the Bambino, he'd be a GOD in New England.
  20. Ozzie could be talking about thew weather, and they wouldn't be able to print it.
  21. When evualting Reed's numbers, keep in mind that the PCL is a notorious hitter's league. I'm not saying Reed will suck in the bigs, either. Just a little piece of info that's part of the equation.
  22. What Loaiza's doing now damn sure isn't working. And yes, I thought that might very well be the result, but he looked clueless out there vs. Anahiem.
  23. This Old Cub

If Schoeney doesn't turn it around soon, I sure as hell hope they make a trade for someone decent ..... because I thinks he's scheduled to start July 19th in Texas and I'm going to that game. Sitting there as a visiting teams fan while the Rangers hits ropes off of Schoeney for 5 innings does not sound all that appealing to me. :headshake
  25. One reason I like to see the Cubs lose is that my 2nd favorite team is the Cardinals. So, if you see me celebrating a Cub tailspin, keep that in mind.
