This is quite a dilemma. I love Maggs being on the Sox and we need him for the stretch drive, for sure. At the same time, I don't think he's worth 25% of the teams payroll. So if we keep him without signing him, we lose a very valuable commodity and get close to nothing in return. It appears that there is not a good solution to this scenario. No matter what move KW decides to make, it has real potential to backfire.

Okay, people, there seems to be a whole lot of cockiness in here. Remember, this is the White Sox we are talking about. You know, last WS in 1959 White Sox? Think back a week. After game 1 of the Cubs series we were 3 games back, facing Zambrano and Maddux, with the very questionable Diaz going in game 2, then heading to the hump of horrors. Plus, we were playing crappy baseball. Things turned around for pretty quickly. This is baseball, folks. They can turn just as quickly the other way. Stop talking about sweeping the Cubs. Stop talking about leading the division by 10 games. If it happens, then we'll celebrate it. Please.
