Hey. It's a good problem for Ozzie to have. Who sits this game? Valentin, Harris, Uribe or Crede? Also, Rowand, Harris, Perez or Gload. Ozzie will mix and match based on who's hot, past history vs. the opposing pitcher, line up balance, defensive abilities, etc. Not a bad scenario at all.

Exactly. That's the spirit and attitude I take. In fact, I have found it enjoyable to visit other stadiums. In addition to St. Lou, I saw the Sox at Tiger Stadium. Again, no problems. Though I was with my 6'7" 340 lbs. brother-in-law A little story. I went to St. Louis several years back to see a Cubs-Cards game (don't worry, I rooted for the Cards). I was, however, wearing a Sox cap. On the way into the stadium, some guy spots the cap and says to me "Gene Mauch said Chicago sports fans are losers, and White Sox fans are really losers" My response, "Gene Mauch wouldn't know a winner if he saw one. Tell me, just what has Gene Mauch ever won?" Turned out this same guy sat one row in front of me, and we had a great time talking baseball all afternoon.

I'm sorry, but I still don't want Randall Simon.

Ah Texas in July! I can't wait!

I was there earlier this year. I saw the Rangers beat Freddy Garcia It wasn't dead. Good lively crowd even though the game was scoreless thru 7.

Thank you. I don't expect to because I'm not an obnoxious boor. I have been to St. Louis when the Sox were there, and had no problems, even though I was actively cheering for the Sox. There ways to support your team without being offensive. (I saw Magglio's 2nd career HR )

He'll win more IF: 1. He stays healthy and doesn't have TJ surgery. 2. The Sox, or whoever he is with, are competive teams. 3. He doesn't go thru repeats of last year, or get run support like FG had this year in Seattle. There are so many variables, and I was trying to be conservative.

I'm going to Arlington to see the Sox vs Rangers on July 19. You can bet your ass I'm going to be wearing a Sox hat and politely cheering for the Sox.

If Shoe has that right attitude, if he really wants another ring, this can be a very smart move. It's shouldn't be about personal issues at this point. The ring is the thing!

Right now, I'm pulling for St. Louis to win the division and hoping Philly or the Fish can capture the wildcard. I don't count on the Astros for much of anything, other than firing Jimy Williams in 2 weeks.

That's a lot of premature speculation. It may come to that, and I hope Scott takes the team first attitude, but we don't know if Diaz is going to be able to carry that load yet. One good outing does not a starter make.

Buehrle peaked at 19 wins. As for the last part of the question, what do you mean? Total victories? If he pitches for another ten years, maybe 200. Maybe.

Homers and RBI are not Harris job, nor his strength. His job is to get on base and score runs. Harris is the current leader in MLB in regards to most AB's since hitting a HR. I hope that streak conitues. We don't want him ever thinking about hitting a long one. Slap it and run like hell. That should be Willie Harris's mantra.

The answer? How about the fans at the Cell being proactive and self policing. When you become aware of someone being a little too rowdy and a little too inebriated, report it to security. If it continues, report it again. Encourage fans in the area to back you up by doing the same thing. If the offending party targets you personally, don't "accept the challenge". Just shut up, walk away and get security.

Kruk couldn't believe Uribe's ball got out of there. He kept going on and on about it being in the fist, an inside-out swing and it going to the opposite field.
-
mariotti is not worth the time and effort it takes to get pissed about him.
-
That is exactly why Ozzie didn't want to promote Borchard or "that other guy" when Maggs went down.
-
I can see the Stros doing this. In fact, Gammons said that if they don't turn it around by the break, Jimy Williams is gone the day after the AS game. If they take a nose dive, I can see them cutting their losses. They might have pulled the trigger on this deal when they did so the would have time to move him elsewhere if it didn't work.
-
Someone needs to tell those girls just what exactly is causing that.
-
Shingo has more than just a vast difference in velocity. He has some wicked movement on his pitches.
-
You definitely have a valid theory there. In fact, I know Garland "took one for the team" when he didn't have it and Ozzie left him in the game to rest the bullpen and to teach Garland he has to work through the bad times. His ERA jumped a full run in that game. I can't remember any details about the particular game, though. So don't ask me. I'm too lazy to research it.
-
No complaints here.
-
We definitely need that LH RBI producer. The bullpen might still sort itself out by throwing Rauch and/or Diaz into the mix. Jackson better get his s*** together very soon or he'll be calling it a career.
-
No problem, but your damn lucky the "t" key is right above "g" key or you woulda been on your own.

I can't believe that some people would actually make this trade. That's Nuckin' Futs! Good to see ya back, Baggio!
