  1. lol @ the Frank defenders, so silly. Oh, and you say it's my fault for stirring the pot like I care CWSGuy, which I don't. I couldn't care less, and why would anybody go to Cooperstown to see Frank be inducted? He will probably just rip the organization like he always does.
  2. That's a new one for me, give up 7 in the first, still get the win, the starter gets the win pitching 6+ and only giving up 1 earned run. I think that game took 3 weeks off my life, but whatever. Let's win tomorrow afternoon and get the f*** out of that hellhole with a split, I'll take that in a second.
  3. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 14, 2006 -> 04:11 AM) Please. The Pistons are so good it's illegal at times. Are they supposed to sweep through the playoffs? I'm not saying they can't be beat, but they're the favorites at this point. We'll see, but I still think Dallas and San Antonio could have done the same things Detroit did this year had they played in the East. Those 2 teams are just as good as Detroit IMO. Oh, and Miami wins today btw, looks like it will be a rematch in the ECF this year between Detroit and Miami.
  4. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 14, 2006 -> 03:52 PM) Tigers win again, we lose tonight and we're in 2nd The Tigers appear to obviously be a legit threat, however they are still playing their best and we aren't IMO so I'm not too worried, considering we are still in 1st despite that at the moment. Also, I have a question about the Indians....is this like last year where they will make a sick run late and end up with 90 something wins, or are these guys really a .500 teams with those s***ty 4 and 5 starters, s***ty bullpen, and all of a sudden not so amazing looking offense.
  5. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 14, 2006 -> 12:32 PM) He got off to an atrocious start, but he leads the NL in strikeouts with 54 (second in the MLB to Johan's 58), has a damn good BAA (.233), and his ERA is now under 4.00. That WHIP (1.54) is still pathetic, though. Yeah he hasn't been bad, but 1 win and a s***ty WHIP as of May 14th is a big dissapointment for somebody who is a top of the line fanstasy stud on the mound normally.
  6. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 14, 2006 -> 04:56 PM) 0-7 vs the Padres? Well they have won 14 out of 15 (although half against the Cubs, but take that out and it's still 7 of 8). As for the Cubs, I think it's being said loud and clear right now that as big of a problem Dusty is, Hendry is a bigger problem. He's obviously one of the worst GM's in the game as his 92 million dollar team continues to suck at amazing levels and wait for their 2 china doll pitchers to come back. Dusty will be gone after this year, but Hendry won't and thus they will continue to blow. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 13, 2006 -> 09:49 PM) The Braves are seriously my 2nd favorite team in baseball. I just love their young players and the style of ball they play. Like today, when with 2 outs LaRoche walks to the bag, is beaten there by Johnson, and thus the Nats got 4 free runs as a result? .
  7. Haha, the Knicks, hahaha. Larry Brown is a crazy nomad, Isiah is bizarre....fun times. I just want to know what pictures Isiah and Millen have so that they continue to keep their jobs.
  8. They won't be seeing their grandchild very often (if at all) in the future if Tommy and his beloved wife are true believers of the religion.
  9. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060514/ap_on_...nnedy_lightning Well the Kennedy curse follows him, but he keeps avoiding death, so hey I guess it could be worse for Teddy.
  10. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 14, 2006 -> 01:33 AM) The Pistons say hi. I remember them, and their troubles focusing for 48 minutes at a time (SEE: Last 2 games) is going to get them in a lot of trouble. You can't just "turn it on".
  11. Zambrano has been hurting my teams, 1-2 with an ERA of about 4...so if you want to take the "Cub hate" angle, he's the guy you'd look at .
  12. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 13, 2006 -> 10:48 PM) Mavs took care of business in another barn-burner, they're now up 2-1. The winner of that series (The Mavs) will be your NBA Champs. Great games to watch.
  13. This thread should be interesting.... *sits back with bowl of popcorn*
  14. I wish Kerry would have won in 2004 more and more everyday. Bush's idiocy is going to ruin the republican party and conservatism as a whole, and the overcorrection by they far left democrat that wins the 2008 election will hurt the country just as much. This is what I mean when I say political extremism of all kinds is a huge danger to this country.
  15. Ha, the drunk basket costs the Cubs a win. They just seem to be inventing ways to lose, if it were anybody but the Cubs i'd feel bad for them.
  16. Yeah, he sounded more high than drunk. He must have been REALLY drunk if it was alcohol that caused that.
  17. Adkins had a 0.00 ERA in 12 innings at AAA....how the hell did that happen?
  18. http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform...e.aspx?team=030 They do a very nice job updating at that link too, it's updated after every home game. Has the game number, attendance that day, total for the year after that day, and average for the year after that day. Also goes side by side comparing the numbers to where we were at at that point last year.
  19. The Cubs are hitting Neifi Perez 2nd and Ronny Cedeno 3rd today. That's just mind bogglingly stupid, even for Dusty.
  20. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 12, 2006 -> 11:44 AM) B.A. is 5 for his last 14 with 2 home runs. That's a start. Yeah, he's been showing some signs lately. And he's still the better fielder between the 2 (which is a compliment to BA, not a diss to Crash) and has a little more power at the plate and speed overall, so the potential is there.
  21. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 12, 2006 -> 11:47 AM) Wow, it never fails. It never will, I won't forgive the greatest and once my favorite player in Sox history for going out like an ass and trying to blackball the organization.
  22. The Reds would never trade Kearns, and Griffey wouldn't wave the NT clause unless the Reds totally tank it here. As for the Wood vs. Sox matchup, I don't think the dates will work out for Wood to pitch against us. It would be fun though.
