  1. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 4, 2006 -> 09:51 AM) Im surprised that "You cant do that on television" isnt on more lists here. Double Dare wouldnt have their slime if YCDTOT didnt make slime cool. I always loved the skits that took place in the diner, with all of the bad food. That show is older, so I doubt many here would remember it. I only kind of remember the VERY last year of it, and even with that I think it was pretty good.
  2. I wish Scoop would discover talent and then proceed to use it, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
  3. I think "Dina" from Salute Your Shorts was my first crush (her in a bikini was money). I wonder what happened to her, and wonder if she still uses the "keep your hands in the northern hemisphere" line.
  4. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 11:58 PM) You did not just say hella. Nah, he actually said it almost 15 hours before you posted that.
  5. That UConn/Indiana game comes down to focus. Indiana needs Marco t come out pissed off (which I think he will, he did the last time #1 visted town) and they also need UConn to start slow. If that happens, it's anybody's game, but at the same time I think UConn could blow away any team in the country if they played their ass off for 40 minutes, so that's always a risk. Anyways, I'll be rooting for IU big time....hopefully they can firm up the Big 10's status as best league in the country.
  6. Damn, this thread turned out better than I thought it would! I think they have a channel that shows a lot of these shows, it's called GAS or something, but I don't get it. Great memories though!! I forgot a couple of these shows, and they were all awesome. And I completely forgot Christine Taylor was in "Hey Dude", good stuff. EDIT: http://www.retrojunk.com Good site....
  7. Ok now I admit I haven't been a member here and regular poster all that long, so if this has been covered, forgive me. But last night, me and a friend just somehow got on the subject of old Nickelodeon shows (we are both 19 btw) and here was the list we came up with as a top 5: 1. Doug 2. Double Dare 3. Ren and Stimpy 4. Legends of the Hidden Temple 5a. Rocko's Modern Life 5b. Wild and Crazy Kids So....what was your favorite(s)?
  8. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 05:57 PM) McNabb has been gettin it for not being "black" enough for a while from a lot of corners - and if T.O. was trying to get under McNabb's skin, that's exactly what he meant. Good point, but I mean come on. Donovan shouldn't even bother with that "not black enough" bulls***. He's an african american from the south side who happens to be very well spoken, well dressed, and a great QB and outspoken leader of his team (in a good way). He doesn't need to lower himself to this nonsense. I've always REALLY liked Donovan and still do, but this is just stupid.
  9. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 06:06 PM) Anything you Chicagoans can tell me about Koshwal? Well he goes to the fradulent "Boys to Men Academy" in Chicago because he is not eligible to play HS basketball in the state of Illinois (but went to boys to men since they will take anybody and aren't an IHSA member). He's a consensus 4 star recruit, but he'd probably be a 5 if he was still at Julian. Also, Koshwal's stock has been down a bit because at 6'8, 240 he has ideal PF size, but he has shown consistenly to be a very good 5 player, who struggles playing the 4. But...with all that said, this kid is still very strong, still very highly regarded, and still has an excellent skill set. If he can get his off the court issues together (which scared off DePaul and Illinois, allowing Iowa State to take the clear lead to get him since they have stuck with him), he could be a hell of a player.
  10. I'm going to take a wild guess and say Texas A&M isn't happy this kid said this... http://www.mywesttexas.com/site/news.cfm?n...id=475011&rfi=6
  11. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 04:35 PM) If you hear Smith, Adonde, and Wilbon talk about this topic, this topic isn't really out of the blue from McNabb. TO's been doing stuff along those lines the whole time. Of course, because for some reason african american journalists NEVER call somebody to task for using "the race card" without merit. I swear, I wish it wasn't about race all the time, it should be about the fact that TO is a jerk, and Donovan made a STUPID comment for which he should get criticized.
  12. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 03:45 PM) We aren't all just like IB posters. Those guys are ridiculous and i can't stand them. That site is a damn plague, they give Illini fans a bad name. But at the same time, too many of us have an inferiority complex with the media, when in reality they really don't hate us.
  13. The Bears don't deserve any respect based on what we've done over the last 2 decades. Hell, we even f***ed up the 1980's teams, shoulda won 2 or 3 Super Bowls instead of 1. White Sox fans will always have an inferiority complex because of the Cubs here, and the Yanks and Red Sox out east. That's how it will always be, and to be honest, I see why our fans get pissed because we get NO respect. Illini fans....well I am glad our fanbase supports the teams so much, but Illini fans are oversensitive idiots for the most part when it comes to the media.
  14. QUOTE(watchtower41 @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 03:33 PM) What is his postion?? He really did a little bit of everything in HS, but is going to play WR in college according to the ASU website.
  15. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines But but....she was attacked in the stands! She was battered first! She's a nice lady who her husband was rushing to defend! (And yes, I know this was a seperate dispute, but whatever).
  16. All I know is he won POY for HS Football in Arizona this year, so he's clearly pretty damn good.
  17. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 02:24 PM) Thing is, they're behind two guys named Blalock and Stinson so i don't know how much time they'll get. If they are indeed that good, however, they'll make it happen. ISU is hurting a lot more for agressive post play right now, and he looks like he could become someone like Homan except 3 inches shorter. Ahh, well I didn't know Blalock and Stinson will be back, you'll have a lot of depth in the backcourt then. Johnson plays a lot more like a 3, if you put him on the wing he might be able to help right away. But he's got A LOT of weight room work to do if he plans on playing in the post, and even then he's still only 6'7.
  18. I think Patrick took part in Duke's traditional postgame shower celebration with the rat, the landlord, j j, and wojo after last nights game. What a BRUTAL last 5 minutes that broadcast was. Oh, and Bail has taken 3 different teams to the elite 8, so he's proven he can go that far. However, late coaching mistakes in all 3 of those games kept his team out of the Final Four, which I find to be no coincidence.
  19. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 11:53 AM) ESPN is calling, they would love you to replace I got stung by a bumble in my mouth Mike Patrick. Not quite sure what that means, but ok. If you think KU is any better than I am saying, I question your sanity.
  20. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 11:45 AM) Not bad considering most had us in the NIT 2 weeks ago. Those people hadn't looked at your schedule. And your capable of winning an NCAA Tournament game.....but not 2 IMO. No way KU could beat a 2 or 3 seed (or heck, even a 1) on a neutral floor.
  21. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 11:43 AM) I honestly think OU beating UT was an abberation. The Texas team I have witnessed with my own eyes looks pretty damn tough. Then again, ISU has made everyone look pretty damn good thie year, including such fan favorites as Iona, who I will be pulling for if they can lock down the MAAC. I don't think OU or Colorado are any good either, but with their records right now I'll give them a chance I suppose. The only 2 teams I consider capable of winning an NCAA tournament game in the Big 12 are Kansas and Texas.
  22. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 11:41 AM) You are not watching are you.. Darnell Jackson is averaging close to a double double now. It's not a coincidence that his much improved play has come in the league.
  23. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 11:39 AM) The key to getting an NCAA Big 12 berth is that first round Big 12 tourney bye. It means you are a top 4 team in teh conference, and the conference champion has always come from this group.... Big 12 All Texas 6-1 18-3 Colorado 5-2 15-3 Oklahoma 5-2 14-4 Kansas 5-2 14-6 ---------------- Nebraska 4-3 14-6 Kansas State 3-4 12-6 Iowa State 3-4 13-7 Texas Tech 3-4 11-10 Texas A&M 3-5 13-6 Missouri 3-5 10-9 Oklahoma State 2-5 12-9 Baylor 1-6 1-6 How crappy is this league? Nebraksa is fifth and Kansas State, Iowa State and Texas Tech are all tied for sixth. I was actually refering to the NCAA tournament, but thanks for the info. The Big 12 only has 4 teams that I consider to be actual high major basketball squads (the top 4...sorry Heads) so KU could easily win the Big 12 Tournament for all I know.
  24. Rush can stay in school all he wants, but his NBA stock isn't going to get much higher....a draft class this pathetic doesn't come around very often. Also, I know KU has gotten a lot better, but I still want to see them beat somebody, and I still think they suck inside once you get past Kaun.
  25. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 11:24 AM) So, to anyone that has a grasp on basketball recruiting.....or anyone from Minnesota....do I have reason to be excited about Cory Johnson in the ISU frontcourt next year. A starting lineup of Blalock.Stinson.Clark+Johnson/Hubalek/Taggart/Gray/Marsden, not to mention Carr, Degand, Westbrook and Stinnett off the bench would mean a possible 12 man rotation. Holy crap. I'd be more excited about Stinnett and Westbrook, they are both EXPLOSIVE scorers who would have been recruited by every school in the country if they were a bit taller. Johnson is your typical skinny white kid from an area with inferior HS competition who is going to need a year or two before he's strong enough to contribute in a major league. However I think Johnson will be a very nice player, just not right away, whereas the 2 guards have the explosiveness to help ASAP.
