  1. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 20, 2016 -> 08:46 PM) It's kind of incredible that Paulo Orlando became a decent major league player. Thought he was managing a strip club in Baltimore?
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ May 20, 2016 -> 08:42 PM) Hope some of these guys can drop the barrel on that mediocre fastball. Been a struggle last few games It's unreal how often this team has gotten beat with an 89 mph fastball the last few seasons.
  3. Once again they should have done better. Just seems like the bottom of the order has not been getting any big hits with RISP
  4. cock shot fastball and avila takes.
  5. Good job Avi, got the job done.
  6. Awful call followed by a good take.
  7. Great pitch to hit, fouled it off. Frazier got one as well.
  8. It's nice getting the 3 WAR version of Melky instead of the replacement level version.
  9. Nice strong throw from Jose there. He's def improved his arm since coming over. He used to just loop it to 2nd now he's firing it with some sting behind it. He loops that one over they don't get the dp.
  10. Wow, Q has amazing stuff tonight. When did his breaking ball get so sharp?
  11. WTF was that? Swing f***ing hard in case you hit it bro. Worried about Jose. He looks old.
  12. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 20, 2016 -> 08:16 PM) Seems like there is a lot of energy at the park that inning More then usual no doubt, probably a lot of KC fans in the house as well. Bandwagon jumpers.
  13. Q looks like he has been hitting the weights. His chest is noticeably bigger this year, he must be working out with Rodon.
  14. One of the best plays I have ever seen. That was insane. It's not like Konerko was running that was DEEP in the hole.
  15. That is why you play Tyler at SS, what a f***ing play!
  16. QUOTE (flavum @ May 20, 2016 -> 08:03 PM) 55 of the next 114 (48.2%) are against the Royals, Indians, and Tigers. So let's be the best and make the postseason. Do it! God I f***ing hate the schedule now. Inter league all year and what, 60 odd games in the division every year? Gets boring.
  17. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ May 20, 2016 -> 07:02 PM) https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/733793062770626561 I will never forget the time my mom thought Lance Johnson was a statue because he was so motionless pre game in CF. Derp.
  18. QUOTE (SCCWS @ May 20, 2016 -> 06:46 PM) But if Eaton does not get on, he is your "lead-off hitter" in the first. Regardless, I like a big lineup change going in to a big series. Confuse those sh** kickers from KC. No problem with Jose in that situation either. Basically you want your best hitters hitting 1,2, your best power guy 4, 2nd best power guy 5th and rest doesn't really matter -- including the 3rd spot. Honestly lineup construction has been well analyzed by sabermetrics over the past few years and at absolute best you're talking the difference in 5-15 runs over the course of a year -- so 1 win.
  19. QUOTE (shipps @ May 20, 2016 -> 05:07 PM) Abreu batting second? So weird. Not really, gets him more PA and also lets him bat without Rollins or Jackson making an automatic out after Eaton gets on.
  20. If he's better than the options that exist post trade deadline then there is zero doubt should come up and help contribute to hopefully a division winning club. Let's say the Sox don't move for a SS and in August you've got a .5 WAR Rollins and a .5 WAR Saladino and a 320/350/450 Anderson with solid defense in AAA -- he comes up, no doubt about it. If he can even hit 270/300/400 down the stretch that would be a huge boost and on days you want to go defense you simply plug in Saladino. I"m about ready to cut bait on Rollins I haven't seen anything from him that suggests he is still an effective starter. His lack of range at SS is troubling.
  21. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 20, 2016 -> 03:29 PM) In 32 AB Rollins is hitting .452/.500/.710 with 2 HR against Gee. He really should be in the lineup over Saladino. I don't mind it. Putting the best defense possible behind Q against the slap hitting contact oriented Royals isn't a bad idea. RV has showed me more tactical smarts this year then I think the previous four combined. Still pissed about putting on that bunt sign the other week and a few other questionable moves, but at least occasionally he's doing smart stuff.
  22. Royals lineup really doesn't scare me. Helps to have Avila back to help shut down their running game as well and Q does a decent job keeping guys close. Sox do what they should and score 4-5 runs this should be a win.
  23. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 19, 2016 -> 10:07 PM) Let's get another insurance run. Do you guys think Robin will let Sale go out for the 9th? you're joking, right?
  24. This doesn't have a 2015 feel, it has a 2006 down the stretch feel.
