  1. the ivy looks like some LOTR type s%*#. What are they feeding it?
  2. jinxed him, that was a meatball.
  3. that breaking ball looks juicy then the bottom falls out. Nasty.
  4. even the cubs announcers think it was a flop.
  5. he looked up saw meidroth already at the bag and flopped. That's BS.
  6. Come the f*** on. He would have been safe by 10 feet. He FLOPPED.
  7. Hit and run here wouldn't bother me.
  8. Hahahahahahah. What an awful play by their CF. You gotta let Suzuki try for it, get out the way if you can't find it.
  9. baldwin has been exposed as an everyday player. at this point you just hope he doesn't make an error and gets one hit a night. I still like him as a utility guy on a decent team.
  10. Did he just start his clock this year? Nice.
  11. We need to try and extend Smith before he gets out of our incredibly limited price range.
  12. Smith at 98 on the black, that will work.
  13. I picked up Vargas on monday in my fantasy league. Feeling like a genius.
  14. It certainly doesn't portend anything good. But we all know that. Getz might be better than Hahn but the fact he's working for JR is one massive, negative data point for his ability.
  15. I've said this a dozen times or more but have some pride if that's the case. If you're being over ruled by JR and KW after they get out of the C-Suite cigar lounge session have some pride and quit. But he was happy to keep cashing the checks while talking out both sides of his mouth. If he thought he needed more resources or whatever bring it to the man that signs your checks. Don't make passive aggressive comments to the media and certainly don't be doing it long after you've been fired and placed into the dustbin of MLB GM history.
  16. Cash considerations three times this year? Going out. We're so back boys. We're going to own every .1 WAR 30 year old reliever in MLB.
  17. He's dead to me. Liked him once and then soured as his teams flailed and he kept up the corporate speak about "competitive offers" and blah blah blah. If you don't like the budget you have, just resign, don't try and make excuses in the press. He must be angling for another job in baseball if he's doing this interview. Doubt he got paid, the exposure is the pay.
  18. wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round...
  19. What an ass whooping today.
  20. Vargas playing a confident 3B.
  21. Rojas was a completely worthless signing.
  22. Now this is familiar territory.
  23. Not sure what this has to do with the pope but it's fairly entertaining. a time capsule for sure, makes me feel a bit young which is always good.
  24. He seems to be enjoying playing again and of course that's easier when you're making winning plays. That ball down the 3B line he could fumble and you never know suddenly with two on what could go wrong. Baldwin with the big crack late -- liked that even tho we couldn't pay it off. If you're going to be a bad defender most nights as a utility guy at least be able to crack one once and awhile. On the next good Sox team we'll need a guy like Baldwin and never really mind having them around even if sometimes it's maddening on a bad team when they play too much.
