  1. Right, the LaRoche Sale teams were known for their rock solid leadership. This whole report is dumb. Underachieving teams have bad chemistry, more at 11.
  2. It doesn't matter one bit. Stone is right on this one. Win some fucking games.
  3. Exit velocity of 112 max, is holding his own as a youngster in his league, and is apparently a LEGIT MLB projectable SS? Great draft pick so far, could still flame out but to get a top 60 asset out of that spot as of today is great.
  4. Lotta horse shit players too.
  5. Friday night mid summer and not exactly a must watch squad. I myself am just box score watching and bullshitting with you fine folks
  6. I fucking love the hawk sticker. we just need a "you gotta be bleepin' me" button now.
  7. There's zero cohesion and communication on the coaching staff, and that includes the trainers. It can't be a "lost in translation" thing because Jose never seems to have any problems knowing how to communicate when he's hurt and when he's sore. I remember ReyLo had a silly tough guy moment a couple years ago as well where he hurt himself trying to tough it out. Those things just shouldn't happen it's 2022 there's so much science and money in this sport you have to be able to have a open and useful line of communication with every guy on staff and every player -- on injuries, life, everything.
  8. They will finish with 80 wins and "retool" with the same staff in place for next year. Meanwhile we'll all be another year into the grave.
  9. Rooting for 10 losses in a row personally. Let the world see the emperor has no clothes.
  10. Well in between working today I played 18 holes and hit 14 greens. Don't ask me about my putting. How'd the Sox do?
  11. His career is basically over imo. He'll probably pitch under 300 innings until he retires. I bet they convert him to a reliever next offseason and he bitches and moans.
  12. Hope in one hand shit in the other and see which one fills up faster. That aside, it really is amazing what happens when you hit the ball in the air. One thing that I don't understand wrt to that is Jose fucking Abreu currently has the highest FB% of his career (his xwOBA is .423!) but the sox as a team are 24th in FB% and 28th in HR/FB%. Some of that is bad luck but HIT MORE FLY BALLS. How is Jose Abreu managing to buck the org's shit swing instructions? It just doesn't make sense to me how he as a guy doesn't see what's happening and try and fix it with the coaches. The coaches have some influence here, if nothing else on how guys are approaching the AB. If Jose knows the recipe for success, why doesn't the hitting coach?
  13. first thing he's helped get in the air in a long time.
  14. There's few things worse than being in a position to root against wins. Fuck. I can't get excited at all about this one.
  15. it's because of the warmer weather.
  16. Make Eloy hitting coach.
  17. put this team out of its misery. a sweep from Detroit would do it.
  18. it's to the point where guys are going to get hurt trying not to get hurt.
