  1. I like him more than that but his upside is limited no doubt. Mune having a rough go defensively. Not the best reflexes on that one.
  2. Shomom needs a cameo on the new season of the Bear.
  3. He hits more balls into the RF stands on middle in than anybody I've seen. I get trying to stay to your style but man you gotta try and pull the ball even with two strikes.
  4. -.4 fWAR and a 72 wRC for our vet DH. CUT HIM
  5. Agree and it's what we should have been doing the last two years. Better late than never I guess.
  6. He sucks. I'd cut Beni for him but zero chance Sox do that.
  7. Be nice to get him back and he can work in slowly at MLB level with Romo playing so well.
  8. I'd probably go Sam, Vargas, Meidroth, Mune, Colson, Romo, Kelenic, Peters and fire Beni into the sun when his spot comes up 9th.
  9. we're still rocking with the old one. maybe we could group fund a new one?
  10. It has nothing to do with that and everything to do with timeline and floor. A HS player's floor is basically replacement level, no matter how good they are in prep. Roch's floor is basically 3 WAR SS.
  11. The critical difference is that Vaughn is a 1B/DH and Roch has a 3 WAR floor basically as a competent big league SS. Tork and Vaughn never really worked out. You have to HIT HIT HIT to be a valuable regular as a 1B/DH. Especially as a RHB. To me this is just a no brainer. You take the guy that has a guaranteed floor as a solid regular. We don't need a HR, we need a solid base hit here.
  12. "does this look like money to you, money be green! Money smell like money!"
  13. Yes bulked up and worked on increasing swing speed. Has completely backfired. He should have just focused on being like Meidroth and trying to get the most out of his skillset. I still think Quero can be a decent player but he needs a reset big time right now and he's plenty young enough to where it can help.
  14. Well after the disapointing close to the series Sox are 18th in position player fWAR with a 97wRC+ and 15th in pitching fWAR.
  15. Not good at all. hamstring is probably the worst lower body soft tissue injury outside a tendon or ligament rupture. We will be lucky to see him by June in Chicago it seems.
  16. I think it's obvious after going the last few years when the Sox are in town and sitting within earshot of the dugout that Will is the first decent man manager we've had since young Ozzie. Maybe TLR for like 6 weeks before he succumbed to being an old f*** his first year. But that doesn't win games, it can help prevent losing them I guess, but talent wins games. Motivated talent is hard to stop, maybe Will will still be here when we find a bunch more.
  17. I'll def be there. Not sure imma splurge for front row this year economy has slowed a bit for me. but I'll be there def want to see a few guys live for once.
  18. Very odd that they go to Cali but then have Seattle come to Chicago.
  19. First series win in almost a month for Angels.
