  1. The team quit having fun because 1) the manager didn't do a good job keeping the clubhouse on an even keel. They rode way too fucking high on their own supply at times this year. And 2) the same manager that let the good times roll wasn't capable of putting the team in the best position to win on a nightly basis. This manifested itself when the team played better clubs and wasn't hitting the leather off the ball every night. I've said it a million times chemistry comes from winning, not the other way around. That said, it's the manager's job to keep the clubhouse grounded and not let the team get too emotionally high or low during a season while putting them in the best position tactically and strategically to win every night: can anybody say Renteria did that this year? Hell no.
  2. FA continues to be a huge weakness for Hahn. It's a miracle Dallas turned out well. Parrot whatever, took a chance on an established player and in a short shit season he couldn't adjust. That said, the moves in total were less than successful in FA and that's a pretty clear trend. Mazara via trade but you can include him in the pile as he was basically an alternative to signing a real RF, of which the Sox had some decent options.
  3. What? Playoffs were the expectation give how expanded they are.
  4. What a shit sandwich this team is feeding us. Just don't get Anybody else hurt.

  7. Cease clearly as a master of control gets the bottom of the zone respect from the umps.
  8. Fuck Ozzie and Rick.
  9. I think ozzie said that about some shit reliever when he was manager. I could be wrong.
  10. There is no way JR would let Stone trash him like this if they were bringing him back right? To quote ozzie, maybe they are giving RR enough rope to hang himself with. Ojala que.
  11. The players know the manager isn't putting the team in position to win. In low level college I was on a team with a bad manager and it for sure affected morale. This will spiral down to the players.
  12. Well someone dared him to top the Ruiz fuck up pregame and Rick said hold my beer I guess.
  13. I'm with ya there. real forum bonding moment.
