At least we aren't Tigers fans, man it must be painful watching Cabby on that team.

Nice throw by Eloy but Nick was running pretty well.

Part of my resentment lately for Jose is that they treat him like royalty. Like, if he doesn't want to DH too fucking bad.

Must be nice having a competent defensive 1B.

He plays not to get injured, which is fine with me. If he was the only below par defender on the team no problem. But we got bad defenders at LF, 1B, CF and RF most days.

Hammer me but I'm sick of Jose at 1B.

He's been going after the 1st pitch a bit more but for the most part pitchers have done a good job keeping the ball out of his wheelhouse. He really hasn't seen many meatballs.

Eloy looking a bit like bad Avi lately with those ground balls to SS.

Nova appears as healthy as he's been lately might actually be a decent Hahn dumpster dive.

Jose Abreu is broken.

Holy shit the angle on the Tigers broadcast has to be one of the worst in all of MLB.

can he catch balls hit 20 feet in front of him, and get a hit more than once every 30 or so PA? If so, he's going to be welcomed with open arms.

Ricky actually making a good decision, nice.

Palka demoted
A for effort solid D for execution. Palka sucks it's amazing how bad the Sox' self scouting is on a year to year basis. This club can find -1 WAR faster than anybody. It's a fucking corner OF spot FFS.

Jason Benetti's commentary during Anderson vs. Royals
not bad jason, not bad. My hate will abate for now.

4/17 Games
pardon my ignorance but what do scouts think of that loading mechanism? not exactly a yoan moncada hip and wrist flip to the ball.
-
Moncada
Believe they use UZR which takes forever (some say years) to give a useable sample. The number you're seeing on the page next to moncada is his average of runs saved (or not) relative to the league I believe and then position adjusted to come up with WAR (could be wrong, it was hard to find just now). So Yolmer, even tho he's a lousy 2B so far, he gets more credit than say a RF who's just average.

4/17 1:10 pm - White Sox v. Royals (Giolito v. Keller)
on a podcast I listened to they suggested Tiger should have just bladed his ball into his hand with the putter, threw it into the crowd and walked off with a DQ. Mic drop!

Anderson's actions were over the top, but fun, and what fans come to see. Everything that happened after that was horse shit and why baseball is losing younger fans. Both those things are true imo.

Hate to be a broken record but we gotta break these guys' habit of sliding head first. Robert and Moncada are big offenders.

Oh nice Moncada has a concussion. Fuck this game so hard.
