He shouldn't have been pitching. Hindsight is 20/20 here. If the Sox can't keep pitchers healthy then the usefulness of Cooper and his staff is over. This is the same team that turned Chris Sale into a "pitch to contact" guy.
Org rots from the top down, Hahn is in over his head. This kid should never have been pushed this hard.
you might as well clean house with the entire fucking FO. Look at all the injuries this year to key pieces. Broom the entire fucking FO starting with Hahn and all the way down to the guy that tapes up ankles on the med team.
I'm done with this FO. You pushed him too hard and FOR WHAT? So you could sell some tickets while keeping Eloy down? FUCK OFF.
A two year deal? Awful idea. One year with a vesting option of like 180 innings or something I'd be fine with. I don't think anybody is going to offer him two years unless it's like two years with a AAV of 5 million.
You can play in a light rain. You can't play in a heavy rain as the ball will get water logged on any hit and make it extremely tough to throw. You're also going to get standing water in any heavy rain and that will make the game completely unplayable.
In MLB they are primary concerned about standing water and they have a team watching the weather and ready to put the tarp out. Given the increased injury risk there is almost no reason to play through weather other than to try and get a tightly scheduled game in the books and through 5 innings.
candy man isn't a bad hitter, tigers did really well in that trade with the cubs. the guy they sent over, the reliever, was absolutely brutal for the cubs down the stretch and candy man looks like a solid 2-3 WAR starter in his prime.
