  1. Dunning perhaps the victim of some bad luck. 7IP, 7K, 0BB, 8H, 1HR, 4ER. Two errors tonight for WS behind him although all his runs were earned. He had a .76 ERA coming in which "ballooned" to 2.60. He should be in AA by June, right?
  2. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 07:38 PM) Saw a shot of the park an hour ago. It was sunny. Radar still has some cells moving south toward Oakland. We’ll see. Still going to be windy and cold. it's too bad the game is so late, even for us west coasters. not going to be getting much help from the sun after 6pm tonight one way or another.
  3. Almost feels like opening day again. Excited to see Lopez at least he looks like the dynamic guy that could grow into a TOR type with more seasoning. Plenty of bright spots on the farm early but at the mlb level Lopez is about the only guy meeting or surpassing expectations and hopes.
  4. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 01:53 PM) Sox just can't escape bad weather. Have they played an outdoor game above 45 degrees? The Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon games should be pretty nice. If the sun is out on Wednesday it might even feel warm.
  5. Hey the weather out here sucks too! Seriously. It's going to be about the same in Oakland as it is in Seattle today -- mid 40s, light rain. Game time temp probably around 48. We're about 10 degrees below average out here too...thankfully it's supposed to warm up starting tmr and the rest of the week looks nice. Wednesday will be a really nice afternoon for baseball.
  6. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 04:47 PM) It will be interesting to see what they do this weekend. Weather sucks, but it's also tough to postpone an entire series. U.S. Bank Stadium (where the Vikings play) is actually configured for baseball, as the University of Minnesota plays early home games there. I wonder what it would take to play a couple of games there. it's booked for something else. this series is OVAH. probably for the best. just go get s***faced and get yourself mentally ready to play on Monday or whatever.
  7. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 03:16 PM) WSI is without a doubt the best Sox message board for you. Go there now and thank me later. when soxtalk was down I went to WSI and saw about half the front page was filled with threads like this one and noped the f*** out as fast as I could.
  8. I think this thread needs a little:
  9. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 01:01 AM) You want the good news? It’s FAR too early to say you were wrong. Let’s have this conversation in June. They both may be terrible in June. We don’t know. But we’ll at least have a little more sample size to discuss. Give it time, we aren’t even in the second half of April. the season really isn't even 10% over. it's like they have played 5 quarters of football. that said, it's been a bad start. yoan and gio especially have been bad.
  10. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 09:57 PM) Lock him up! Lock him up! you beat me to it!
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 11:10 PM) He's currently a guess hitter that can't hit offspeed pitches when he looks for them and is fouling off hitable fastballs. Currently, his hit tool and bat control are non-existent. He was simply horrible all around tonight. Hopefully this is the lowest point for him. I don't see that. I see a guy that is completely off timing wise. Give him a day off if they play tmr yea hopefully this is is. His approach is alright but where is that lighting quick swing we saw turn around fastballs at the end of last year and in the spring? How many 92-95 mph fastballs right down the middle can a guy swing through and have any success? not nearly this many. forget the off speed problems if you can't hit fastballs you're f***ed. of course right now that describes about 1/3 of the lineup so he's not f***ing alone in that problem. Avi is nearly as bad in his own pathetic way right now and don't even get me started on Engel.
  12. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 11:04 PM) Stone is not impressed by Moncada or the organization tonight. Good for him they are sitting around feeling sorry for themselves you can just see it in the body language. you're pro players I don't care if it is a rebuilding year against a young ace on a 35 degree night show some f***ing desire. honestly I'd like to see moncada break a cooler tonight. not any body parts, but show some passion. if you're going to be the stoic type you better at least come to the plate with a clue. obviously I've reached a point after a few drinks but this is chicken s*** stuff.
  13. get used to that avi, not going to BABIP 380 this year.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 11:01 PM) Wow what in the hell is he doing? What a heartless effort by him tonight it's early but ricky is on the clock. team looks absolutely lifeless and sloppy and is not ready to play on a nightly basis. that's a manager issue.
  15. guys I'm not going to lie tonight is the first time I've doubted that Hahn is the right man for the job. the player development in this org is absolutely putrid at every level, but especially at the MLB level. I think there are serious problems with how the org both IDs and develops talent. if players do succeed it will be despite it.
  16. alright guys I'm out, workday is over, hitting the bar with some buds. go sox. and that last popout from yoan...sigh.
  17. 89 mph right down the middle and fat boy pops it up. Haha!
  18. remember when people kept mentioning how a good 1B was going to save all those errors TA had in the minors? Turns out they were half right. His throwing yips are really troubling. Jose is doing God's work over there however.
  19. and f*** replay. god f***ing damn if it takes this long than the calls stands. this is absurd feature creep in year three now. they are parsing this s*** down like it's the zabruder film. make a god damn call and move on.
  20. f*** off sano. I take great joy in watching that fat f*** f***up. nasty brute that he is towards women and all.
  21. If we had nine Yolmers I'd feel a lot better.
  22. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 09:27 PM) Let's not undersell just how horrible Dylan Covey was touche.
  23. I am actually surprised they didn't collide there and drop it.
  24. If you didn't know he was a former top prospect you'd think it was Dylan Covey out there.
  25. forfeit the rest of the game and just go get drunk. soon as my work day is over I'm doing the same.
