2018 White Sox catch-all thread
I love his volume and his enthusiasm but sometimes I wonder how he walks a straight line on his way into work everyday. This year feels like a golden age for Soxtalk imo. Software got improved, got some new posters, and the "in house" content via FutureSox continues to expand. I'd love to see a Podcast.

Kopech "getting closer"
Problem is that's next year. They are well past Super 2 deadline by now. If the Sox braintrust, scouts, instructors, GM, VP, all the way up to JR, determine he's read for the big leagues this season but keep him down for service time reasons -- I for one will be disappointed. It's a hard bridge to sell, at least to me, that the extra year of control 7 years from now is more important than his immediate development.

FS: Strength up the Middle on the Farm
Curbelo is intriguing, especially with Burger's future pretty much completely up in the air at this point. Thanks for this.

Moncada
K rate is up 3% and his walk rate is down about the same from his 1/3 season last year. Not exactly a great last month. That said, there is some hope in the batted ball data. His hard hit percentage is up and his popout rate is a miniscule 1.9%. He just needs more reps. Stay healthy kid.

I have no clue. I don't know anything about Byron Buxton other than that he's sucked ass for large stretches of his career. All I know about Yoan Moncada is that he's been very good at times this year and at times he's been absolutely awful. This applies to his defense as well. Add it all up and he's on pace for about 2.5 fWAR -- not awful for a toolsy 23 year old. I wouldn't bet on ANY player becoming a consistent 5 WAR true talent. That is a HOF or at very least HOVG career path.- Moncada
