QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 7, 2012 -> 04:51 PM) Youre just going to try and injure him so that the bulls can win right? Because my plan was to go Ultimate Warrior on Ryan. I think if I tried to injure Lebron, I'd probably wind up bouncing off of him and landing 15 feet away.

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 7, 2012 -> 04:43 PM) That's like me saying I want to play basketball 1 vs 1 against Lebron. Actually, that'd still be kinda cool

QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 7, 2012 -> 04:23 PM) I work in a very technical area and have an entirely useless history degree... Employers want people who can adapt to change quickly; this is one of the largest skills necessary right now and in the future. To only hire out of certain fields is fairly hypocritical then, if you ask me. But when there are so many more applicants than there are jobs, as is the case right now, employers can use whatever means they want to filter down through applicants...even if they filter out some qualified ones, because there are simply so many qualified ones available for every positin.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 7, 2012 -> 03:45 PM) I'm not looking for a reporter to ask him if he is on steroids. More of a question like, "AJ, do you have anything to say about all these rumors and allegations that have been falsely sent your way?" From what we know about AJ...do you think that would go over well?

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 7, 2012 -> 02:36 PM) Now, did you actually read the bill? Is it a typical new style bill where one sentence is slipped in there somewhere that does something unrelated to "prison reform"? Or is this is really well written prison reform bill that will actually work? I don't know, because I haven't read it, or heard why people are voting no on it... It establishes a commission to investigate and provide recommendations on prison reform, the 14 member bipartisan panel of experts sort of thing, provides it funds, etc. Had the support of a large number of organizations, including the council of mayors. The stated reasoning by the Republicans is that it is inappropriate for the Federal Government to do anything regarding state/local prisons, with the usual fool or two calling it unconstitutional (Coburn, in this case). Of course, since it would only go so far as to establish a commission to make recommendations, the bill itself wouldn't do anything to change the prisons, but hopefully could provide some plausible roadmaps to improvements, many of which would likely save money. Basically, it's a stand by 1 party to protect the status quo, as usual. Probably with a sprinkling of the "We can't let the Democrats pass anything" thrown in.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 7, 2012 -> 02:24 PM) Consider it an incentive to not break laws. What more can you do? Nothing. Because you will continue electing the same people anyway. Senator Webb (D-VA) has actually made pushing prison reform one of his priorities. There's a bill out there that would be a start...Prison reform bill,, that would do the usual "Blue Ribbon commission" to evaluate prison reform options, which would almost certainly have to deal with the issue of prison rape, in addition to the other problems of violence, racial disparities, etc. That bill, of course, has been stuck in the Senate, most recently failing 57-43. Yes, that's failing, 57 in favor, 43 against. At this point, if you can't figure out the parties on each side...well, not much else I can say. So yeah, I'm content to continue voting for the people I'm voting for, because they actually have tried to act on the issue.

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Sep 7, 2012 -> 10:20 AM) Any ideas on how Robin can trick his entire locker room into thinking they're playing the Mariners or the 1916 Philadelphia Athletics instead of KC despite what the schedule and the opposition's jerseys say? He should start a rumor that one of his guys tested positive for something and see if that pisses the team off.

Everyone should go to www.google.com today.

Kinda hoping that he didn't PaulRyan it on any of the personal stories he threw in at the end...there's a lot there that deserves a good story-fact-check.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 7, 2012 -> 09:32 AM) So based on his performance does Hawkins crack BA's Top 100? You gotta think he kinda has to I'd still go with no.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 7, 2012 -> 08:47 AM) I just saw the Bears average ticket price this year is $110, and that is up almost 10%. They had the highest increase in prices in the entire NFL. I wonder what their attendance is going to look like this year? Smallest stadium in the league still right?

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 10:59 PM) I hope those mustaches arent our future because there are a lot of weird ones, or I am just a mustachist and cant tell the difference between people with mustaches. How dare you insult the mustache sir! I say to you good day!

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 10:49 PM) Any game with the greats before 1970, someone like Mantle or Ruth. Probably some of those pitchers who threw hard before there was a radar gun. Ooh, satchel Paige Vs. Bob Feller...'46 All Star game.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 10:47 PM) I'm a huge fan of Obama talking about Romney/Ryan as guys with no foreign policy experience. Mirror? "Cold War mind warp". Ouch.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 10:02 PM) He's down to .225 with a .290 OBP this year and .214 with a mid .600 OPS during his time in Toronto. What's his OPS this year?

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 09:46 PM) The Sox could have traded for Rasmus using Edwin Jackson. They didn't want Rasmus, and really, although earlier this year he had a hot streak and hit some homers, he's been pretty bad for the Blue Jays. Really? I thought he'd been pretty good overall. (Getting rid of Teahen was the other bonus, and Stewart turned into Youk, those are the 2 other details.)

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 09:30 PM) im pretty sure hes saying that obama gave all of those things for free and that its just handouts to people who arent deserving. It wasnt my comment though. I like Biden, I know thats not popular. He may not be the smartest, but thats not what its all about. It's a random Kap rant. You really are better off pretending it doesn't exist. Picture a guy ranting about an imaginary Obama sitting in the chair next to him that only he can see.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 06:40 PM) Damn. Arrest them. Charge them. Throw them in solitary forever. Geezus. Then you'd have to find a guard guilty of letting somethig bad happen to a prisoner. The guards are more important.
