Just can't get a 123 inning...

Well, that explains both of my knees.

QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 14, 2012 -> 04:57 PM) I dunno, The Bourne Ultimatum was pretty awesome. I'm going to see Legacy soon, so I'll hope to be surprised by a good film. I liked it mostly...except for "everything done by the director".

Ew...ew....ewwwwww.....

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Aug 14, 2012 -> 01:59 PM) You have apparently never heard of bartering. I continue to think that the GOP proposal of me paying for my healthcare with a couple of chickens seems impractical...
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 14, 2012 -> 10:59 AM) There was apparently eye witnesses who work for the rich boosters and saw it happen on private planes. And those eyewitnesses would be liable for failing to report, if they ever came forward.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Aug 14, 2012 -> 10:28 AM) The rocket capacity needs to be dramatically increased above the Saturn V, right? If it works, here's your building block.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Aug 14, 2012 -> 10:07 AM) I was hoping it would be sooner then 30 years. Getting it done is at least 75% about "is the money there or not". Right now, it's not.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 14, 2012 -> 09:52 AM) There is one party in the transaction you are leaving out, the boys themselves. You are quite correct. But...look how many victims there have to be before one actually starts to come forward. Sandusky had dozens over a period of decades before "Victim 1" finally came forward to the police. There's a line in this article about the victim believing Sandusky could "Have him killed" if he came forward.

Penn State receives "Accreditation warning" from multi-state oversight committee over this case, specifically over its failures to meet federal monitoring and reporting requirements. And before anyone says something to try to defend them again, this is entirely justified. The Freeh report noted multiple, repeated instances of Penn State blatantly refusing to comply with Federal Laws regarding oversight and crime reporting. That doesn't just go for the Sandusky case, thanks to the football program there are now multiple cases of crimes either covered up or reported to the police but not officially reported to the Federal government, and the athletics department failed to meet their reporting standards for at least a decade+. Additional monitoring of the cleanup by a higher-level accreditation agency is entirely justified, as would be stripping them of their accreditation if they failed to meet standards once again.

QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Aug 14, 2012 -> 12:04 AM) That isn't actually true is it? AJ said that was bs. How much do you trust AJ?

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Aug 13, 2012 -> 11:18 PM) Are you serious? We're talking about this year's team and what the owners have done this year. I don't care what they did 7 or 8 years ago with Miguel Cabrera, Dontrelle Willis, Pudge, etc. This year, they signed 3 big time FA's and held onto Josh Johnson. I wouldn't say that's selling off the good players in 2012. Without another big spending splurge, can you convince me that team has any real shot at being better next year than it was this year?

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Aug 13, 2012 -> 11:24 PM) USA Today calls the crowd at that event 'spirited'. Imagine if a tea party member had tried to rush the stage when Biden was speaking. I bet there would be more words than 'spirited' to describe them. Yeah, thankfully we don't have any examples of actual people directly associated with the Romney campaign trying to disrupt Obama campaign events. Otherwise, the outcry would be enormous. I mean, could you imagine if they had something like the official campaign bus driving around constantly honking their horn at multiple different Obama events? That'd put the official campaign on the same level as these numbskulls. It'd just be pathetic. The media would be all over it, it'd be the number one story for weeks. Especially if they kept doing it. I mean, after that, if anyone voted for Romney, they'd just be tolerating that kind of bizarre, childish behavior. Tolerating the intolerant, someone might call it. Thankfully, I can't find any evidence of that ever happening and I entirely made it up.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 14, 2012 -> 08:33 AM) Isn't there some private Dutch company aiming to do it in the next 10-12 years? I'm sure there is, and I'm sure no one believes it.

Nice save Tyler

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 13, 2012 -> 09:42 PM) ADA with his worse game of the season. Delabar has great stuff, but sucks to see ADA learned nothing from the first 3 ABs. He's had several 0/4 3k days and at least one 0/5 3k day I see

That was a very Ozzie Guillen stolen base attempt, and I mean that in as bad of a way as possible.

Viciedo just keeps fouling those inside pitches off the other way...one of these days he's going to start squaring those up again.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 13, 2012 -> 09:20 PM) How many pitches did he throw? If he's under 125 I'd say he'd pitch the ninth. The Peavy factor. Don't mess with him. 124 so far
