  1. Brent Morel is screwed.
  2. QUOTE (BearSox @ May 19, 2011 -> 03:06 PM) Lilli and Morel both on the bench... I wish I was surprised, but who didn't see this coming. McPherson has no business starting. The day that Ozzie quits is gonna be a great day. Seriously. You guys ought to know by now I'm one of the positive ones, and generally tend to defend the team. This is f***ing asinine and ridiculous.
  3. Zero excess radon emissions over S.F. might indicate that the earthquake prediction is wrong.
  4. That's entirely possible. Make sure the Ghostbusters don't fall into the fault, they're our only hope.
  5. Really, San Fran? I'm preparing for it in Tennessee. Meth and Mosque threats seem much more likely to be problems to me.
  6. Preparing for the rapture, that's all.
  7. No need to bring religion into this.
  8. Let your mind be creative and come up with your own hypothetical
  9. Just keep thinking he's the problem one...
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 19, 2011 -> 02:34 PM) Bogans has quietly put together a pretty solid last couple of months. The difference with Korver is that if he's open he always looks to shoot. Bogans doesn't.
  11. Go faster!
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 19, 2011 -> 02:24 PM) It's official. Morel in the doghouse. Great.
  13. Bulls simply need to shoot better, regardless of who is in.
  14. QUOTE (knightni @ May 19, 2011 -> 01:59 PM) There are a few guys here who are in their 60s, I believe. My knees, for example.
  15. Ya think?
  16. QUOTE (Knackattack @ May 19, 2011 -> 01:33 PM) Obviously, if this is the case, you get a bidding war between the BoSox and Yankees for either EJax or Danks.. if they offer up something for Danks you can't pass up you take it and smile, but if they're both going for Jackson you're sure to get something usable. Montero or Reddick are both nice starting points from either club. The Yankees will laugh at you. Loudly.

  18. Well, Felix was happy.
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 19, 2011 -> 11:25 AM) I don't know, I got the impression that he was indeed talking about Pierre. If Juan continues to struggle, he may get benched or released. Morel is probably on the hot seat too though, and I'd have to think T-Pain as well. Yeah, Morel is hitting .300 in May and playing excellent defense. Ozzie of course has started benching him in response. He's definitely on the hot seat. Any young guy who performs doesn't deserve to be on this team.
  20. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 19, 2011 -> 10:37 AM) What a straight up bust he's been so far. He's putting up Kotsay type numbers. EDIT: *Awaits Balta to show me how incorrect my last statement is because Dunn has 3 more walks or something* No. Dunn's been terrible. He had a good week in early may.
  21. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 19, 2011 -> 10:30 AM) Is this true in the post season as well? They scored, what, 14 points in the 4th quarter last night? Please tell me how the iso game was effective on offense. They closed one game against the Celtics that was close when the Celtics choked it away, and the Bulls did the exact same thing last night.
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 19, 2011 -> 09:51 AM) I feel good about the Bulls today. They really could not have played any worse and were tied with 4 minutes left to play. This, however, is why you have to build a lead on the Heat and have to avoid close games... they have two elite closers. The Heat were terrible in close games this season and weren't really all that great yesterday either. The Bulls were just worse. The Heat may have these "Great closers" but in the last 6:00 of a close game, they switch to all isolation, all the time mode. That works 30% of the time, to first order, no matter who you're dealing with. If you can score 35% of the time, and you don't commit the stupid foul Noah committed to bail them out yesterday, you win against them down the stretch because they go to all iso, all the time mode. Lebron wasn't taking great shots down the stretch. He made that one big three but missed others. He was taking contested shots. He'll make those 30% of the time, but no better.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 19, 2011 -> 09:48 AM) If you are really scared, sell. If you are right, there isn't going to be a higher point in price than now. (that might change by a point or two based on market conditions, but the general idea is the same). The prices now are historically ridiculous anyway. I don't know that I am really scared just yet...I just don't want to be the 3rd person who becomes really scared, because the first 2 are going to make out ok, while the rest of the people won't. I'm actually kinda starting to think that nothing will happen in Congress until there is a huge move in the bond market where people do get scared. Might take that kind of fear to shake things loose.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 19, 2011 -> 09:40 AM) As of this point there has been no sales pressure in the bonds or notes. They are still holding up just fine because everyone expects a deal to be done. Unless the message becomes crazy out of Washington, I see no reason for that to change. I'm guessing at worst they would get a short term extension done just because the credit of the United States is all that is keeping it going right now, and they know if they default, they credit line of the US dries up. So basically...everyone's holding them and gambling on Congress's competence. With the fact that a number of prominent officials have come out and said that defaulting will be no big deal, and the fact that Limbaugh started arguing this week that defaulting will actually improve the U.S.'s credit rating, that just reinforces my thinking that mid-June might be a good dumping point. Worst case scenario...I take the money out and pay a lower tax rate on it now than I would have if I cashed them in 2-3 years from now once I find a better job. The downside risk is pretty low there.
