  1. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 09:04 PM) Sounds like the perfect White Sox. And nothing like most of the guys on the team.
  2. Viacom put out the number 200K.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 04:59 PM) Fat ass earthlings. Humanity increasing its mass doesn't increase the planet's mass, silly.
  4. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 05:13 PM) What does that matter? The Sox currently have 2, and could potentially have 3 if Sale is in the rotation. I highly doubt a team often thinks "Nah, he is a pretty good lefty starter, but we already got one, we don't want another". That doesn't seem to make much sense. And besides, CC and Danks are 2 completely different lefty pitchers. Plus...even though the Yankees already have Captain Cheeseburger in their rotation, they're going to offer another Lefty 6/$150 this offseason.
  5. QUOTE (Tex @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 04:22 PM) December vacation can't some quick enough for me. Every teacher gets tired of their profession at some point. It just took Tex less than a year.
  6. Oh, ok, now I get what was being said there.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 03:33 PM) My point was whether these teams want our buzzkill or not, demand they take them in the blockbuster involving Mark. I could actually kind of see why the Yankees would be a fit for MB56, but I bet the Yankees are one of the trade-restricted teams on his list, and the Yankees are going to be signing Cliff Lee for $25 million/year this offseason anyway so I doubt Mark will genuinely excite them. The Cardinals remain highly unlikely to take on Mark's salary. Asking them to take on Teahen or Pierre or Linebrink's salary with that...they're not losing Pujols in Free Agency because they traded for Mark Teahen. You want to get another team to take on one of those contracts? Stick them with Danks or Floyd and you might be able to move 1 of them.
  8. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 03:30 PM) Flipping thru the channels, CNN has Obama talking to votes in Conn. he literally just said "We are funding global Aids, the other side ain't" Now, besides the fact that if the Dems are funding Aids, they should be shut down, wasn't it Bush that donated boatloads of cash to fund global Aids research, NOT Obama? Just askin. Wait, you oppose AIDS drugs for the poor in Africa?
  9. Blogging? That's so 2003. Go back to Twitter Ozzie!
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 03:30 PM) Like somebody said, I'd look and see if we can simply improve our team via free agency, if not make one blockbuster. Trade Mark Buehrle, Juan Pierre and either Teahen/Linebrink to the Cardinals or Yankees. We have to find a way to dump Pierre and Teahen/Linebrink and packaging them with Mark may be the only way to dump those buzzkill players. Juan would be OK I guess only if Oz bats him ninth. I love Mark and wouldn't mind keeping him, but we can probably afford to trade a starter. If not Mark, then Jackson. Why would the Yankees want Juan Pierre? They already have a better and cheaper version of him, and they may well replace him this year with Carl Crawford.
  11. QUOTE (Buehrlesque @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 03:08 PM) Rotoworld/Rosenthal saying that "money will be a factor" in the Brewers manager decision. That could (hopefully) work in Cora's favor, since he's probably the cheapest option. That could also refer to marketability.
  12. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 03:04 PM) Thats a lot of people! http://www.cbsnews.com/i/tim//2010/08/28/image6814705x.jpg You do realize that link is for the Glenn Beck rally right?

  14. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 02:59 PM) "MAKE AWKWARD SEXUAL ADVANCES NOT WAR" "I'm going for sushi. Who's with me?"
  15. My word, Kareem is tall. He's taller than the Tuba.
  16. QUOTE (since56 @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 02:34 PM) Yeah, I think Berkman can still hit. Also we will need a backup firstbaseman. It's just that we are always getting guys off the scrap heap. Another washed up star. Outside of 5 pitchers and 1 catcher....doesn't that basically describe the entire San Francisco Giants lineup?
  17. Corbomite!

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 02:18 PM) How & when did LaRussa make it clear that Rasmus will be gone? If Pujols saying this didn't make it clear...
  19. Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow? Now I'm legitimately afraid.

QUOTE (sircaffey @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 02:00 PM) Shelby Miller and he's quite the stud. He's not going anywhere. Well, maybe for Edwin Jackson...
  21. Stephen and Tweedy.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 01:54 PM) Or the Cardinals system is the same as the White Sox system, and they're both s***. If you'll note...we were substantially ahead of the Cardinals coming in this year.
