  1. It’s just all around pathetic. One player is probably thinking about his side piece, another about Dominos after the game, another how his body is shot but still collecting millions, another wishing he was back on the Dodgers
  2. Because the brain trust is the problem and is trying to cover their own asses
  3. NCsoxfan replied to Unknown's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Perhaps taking nutrition and fitness seriously would help him
  4. Give us ALL of the right handed DH’s!!!
  5. Kind of a straw man argument. There’s enough in game decisions to deride TLR for before even talking about the lineups.
  6. One quant PhD student could build a GM algorithm by studying top organizations and far outperform Hahn. Hell, Soxtalk groupthink would as well.
  7. Kind of unreal management/ownership can be THIS inept
  8. Time for the old “…definition of insanity” post
  9. Old Sox players I’d put in the lineup over Moncada (maybe even at their current age): -Norberto Martin -Chris Snopek -Greg Norton -Herbert Perry -Royce Clayton
  10. I haven’t watched Dunning much but how has he pitched this year? I see his record is awful, but ERA/WHIP/etc look pretty mediocre? A 4/5 on a good team and 3/4 on a bad team?
  11. I’ve been thinking about this, I am not sure Moncada enjoys playing baseball anymore.
  12. Hahn did the right thing not trading Colas/Montgomery for mediocre rentals. But it’s his fault we have so many holes and lack a deep prospect system to make a deal without giving up too much.
  13. Dear Rick: We’re mired in mediocrity….again! Your drafting, free agent signings, and general asset management have left us unable to compete with the big boys.
  14. I think y’all are underestimating the haul the Nats got. They did well here. Gore, Abrams, Wood, Hassell etc could turn out to be huge. Add on the extra cap space without having to pay Soto and I’ll be really interested to see how this pans out in 5y Plus SD will have to sign Soto now, and what will it be? 10y $475mil?
  15. Wonder if it means Hahn took a job as a Buona Beef franchise operator??!!
  16. Big Hurt, Maggs, Konerko, Crede, El Caballo, Everett, Valentin, Rowand, Alomar… and yet we’d go into the Metrodome and get beat like a drum
  17. Most frustrating offense since 2003
  18. Someone put this team out of its misery The biggest LOL is to those thinking that “anything can happen in the playoffs”. No we know exactly what would happen with our awful defense, base running, and plate approach.
  19. That’s so dark but sadly true
