Garcia, Moncada, Yaz, and Sheets can be traded for a six pack for all I care. Call up players from AAA.

Yankees get Montas, Trivino from OAK
Our GM thinks big, I can guarantee you that. The problem is he’s terrible at asset management and due to his oversight has one of the worst farm systems in baseball.

White Sox tried to trade for Ohtani
Hahn also believes he would be a top choice if the Dodgers GM position becomes open

Time to buy, not sell
Correct but that doesn’t mean you make stupid decisions to increase your chance of winning the WS from 1% to 1.1%.

Time to buy, not sell
Exactly what playoff teams do we have a better than 25% chance of beating?

Fire Rick Hahn
Every other organization in MLB hopes Hahn continues as GM.

Rumor: Sox Pursuing Mychal Givens
Hahn would love to trade for Rodon. He’s the stock trader who sells at $40 and rebuys at $60.

White Sox among 'most agressive' teams in pitching market
I remember a bunch of us on here pounded the table to sign Brantley before Houston did. But of course Hahn can’t be forward looking or creative.

White Sox among 'most agressive' teams in pitching market
Classic Hahn unwilling to buy low on anyone in the off-season and now willing to pay full price on a guy like Quintana. This guy is Stan Bowman in a different suit.

Fire Rick Hahn
He’s an abject failure

Can’t wait to see what Rick Hahn (aka Michael Scott) does at the deadline

This team fights hard to be mediocre

Trade Rumors Catch-all
It’s always looked to me like the White Sox lack a process and analytical rigor. Major decisions are probably made by RH/KW “gut feelings” and it’s ridiculous. These guys need to go.

White Sox Sell Thread
Trade Abreu, Graveman, Cueto, and Lynn. In return could we get a young SP capable of being #3, a potential 2B, and some high upside young future bullpen type arms?

White Sox among 'most agressive' teams in pitching market
I agree our suggestions won’t happen, it’s just what I personally think is the best course of action. Fun to discuss

White Sox among 'most agressive' teams in pitching market
We get paid to give up on contending with the goal of better competing next season. Between reallocating the $ we’d be trading and whoever we get, shoot for maximizing 2023 instead. You can’t have it both ways. On one hand you say things like “what would we get for Lynn and Hendriks” but then you said “could we sign similar players in FA?” There’s no question in my mind the combination of signing players in FA plus whatever we’d receive trading some veterans is > running it back with the same guys.

Trading some combination of Lynn, Abreu, Hendriks, and a reliever isn’t rebuilding IMO. It’s taking a premium return and extending your window while keeping your core players. We can reform the team in the offseason without having to pay 120c on the dollar. We cannot supplement the roster and fix a fundamentally flawed team this deadline.

White Sox among 'most agressive' teams in pitching market
I would sell off veteran parts. The roster construction is broken as is. Get some young pieces, sign some FAs, and potentially use the assets you accumulate this trade deadline this winter/next deadline. That’s undoubtedly the best asset management approach. If we try being aggressive now we’ll trade $3.00 for a front loaded $0.70

White Sox among 'most agressive' teams in pitching market
We’re not anywhere close to being a World Series team. The scariest part is that Hahn doesn’t realize it, and is liable to screw up the future as well.

Trade Rumors Catch-all
Whatever the white Sox do, I expect them to pay 115c on the dollar. Hahn is obsessed with paying top dollar for a guy’s peak performance.

List of best hitters vs. RHP in 2022 that are somewhat available
What did this list look like this past offseason and why didn’t we go after those targets?

Benintendi to NYY
Over the years I thought we should buy low on names like Brantley, Schwarber, and Benintendi.

That’s how Stan Bowman destroyed the Blackhawks in 6 years.

Trade Rumors Catch-all
If we are not good enough to win the World Series and barely good enough to win the division, why in the heck would we trade our only few worthwhile prospects?
