QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 27, 2010 -> 01:42 AM) 12 human beings have walked on the moon, while only two human beings have traveled to and spent time at the deepest spot in the oceans. Is that effed up or what? Challenger Deep?

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 25, 2010 -> 01:34 PM) Saw the Book of Eli over the weekend. Me and my buddies enjoyed it. Good flick. What exactly was the book?

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jan 25, 2010 -> 11:02 AM) I never knew anything of the novel and I know the ending was changed(Knowing the novel ending I think for the better) but I loved the movie. Probably a top3 movie of the year for me. I knew nothing of the book either, and I loved the movie. The ending was changed? After looking over the Wikipedia outline of the book, I don't see any difference between the endings.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jan 24, 2010 -> 10:41 AM) Sure if you just look at all the bad, there is a lot of good the human race has done too, even in that movie it shows some good in how people risk their lives to help save someone with no benefit to themselves. Exactly, plus it's not as though each and every society on Earth has a history of genocide and mass executions.

QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jan 24, 2010 -> 09:30 AM) A couple buddys of mine (who are grown ass men mind you) think is is hilarious to continue to repeat "f*** you're face" to each other over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again when they are drinking. Grow up,its not funny at all and its annoying. Why should someone act grown up when they're drunk? Just last night, I had a discussion with a few friends about how fart noises are funny no matter how old or educated you are.

QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 09:38 AM) you evil bastard. When I was little my dad and I shoveled out a spot in front of our house. Then we ran to the store to get some more ice for the sidewalks and our neighbor had parked his car in our spot when we got home. Im not talking downtown streets where there is no parking. There was tons of parking when I used to live and everyone had driveways. Well he parked in our clean spot instead of in front of his own house. My dad pushed his car with our car in to the middle of the street and left it there. I agree with people saving their spots 100%. Your dad's awesome.

QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 12:40 AM) When I went to Florida State for school, I was told that I didn't have a Chicago accent...except when I said one thing..."Chi-cahh-go" By the way, most of you are lames... I got the same thing in Boston, except I pronounce it Chi-caw-go (which I believe is the correct pronunciation). And you really can't be more from Chicago than I am. I can hit USCF with a rock from my house.

QUOTE (qwerty @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 08:34 PM) The street is in no way your property. Get over it and find a new spot. It's not yours in the first place. Reminds me a lot of someone being childish and saying ''seat save''. Sit somewhere else you god damn cry baby, it won't harm you any. That's all well and good, but sometimes you'll pay for taking a spot someone else cleared. That's just a fact.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 03:00 PM) I would, but I may be at the hospital with a childbirth thing the night of the test. If you take the test instead of going to the birth, I guarantee you get on the show.

I know a guy who was on the show. He lost on the final Jeopardy question. I'm really good at the show, but I'd never see myself getting past the live audition because they base it on more than just how well you do. I'll try anyway.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jan 21, 2010 -> 09:15 AM) Absolutely disagree whole heartedly. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this and I don't understand why there are people making such a huge stink over it (not saying you are). Royal Caribbean is delivering supplies while making these stops too. Also, Labadee, where they dock, is a privately leased "island" by the company from the Haitian government. Royal Caribbean employs Haitian citizens on the resort and also grants several hundred other Haitian citizens exclusive privilege to sell goods to the tourists who disembark. Furthermore, for the passengers of the ship, they often book these cruises years in advance and it is not fair to them to alter their trip that they are paying a thousand plus dollars for. This place is 60 miles from Port au Prince so it's not as if people would be getting off and gauking or getting in the way. hell, they passengers cant even leave the grounds of the private resort. Nothing but positives come from Royal Caribbean continuing to dock at Labadee. I don't understand how anyone can think otherwise. Royal Caribbean altering their ports of call because of this does nothing but further hurt the country right now. Somebody works for Royal Caribbean Seriously though, I agree with you.

Why Carlton Fisk is still my favorite Sox player, ever

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 05:26 PM) And yet, you have an avatar of Brian Anderson getting all up in a Cubs player's business, even though neither were involved in the original problem. Was that Brian's business? Its pretty obvious this is just a personal bias thing for you, and that's fine. Just don't make it seem like its about how the game is played or something. Anderson was defending his own teammates there. That's quite a stretch. -

QUOTE (Tex @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 10:18 AM) I guess it depends on how much respect you have for the game of baseball and the 100+ year traditions. What does that have to do with the way someone thinks of a player as a person? Ty Cobb by almost all accounts was a piece of s*** of a human being, but he was great at baseball. Since I have respect for the game, does that mean I can't think of him as an asshole? -

QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 06:29 PM) Personally - I'd enjoy a HEEL HBK vs a FACE HHH @ Wrestlemania, from my knowledge that's never been done before. But WM is shaping up - could be HHH vs. Sheamus (whack... HHH title at wrestlemania is just bad.) HBK Vs. Undertaker (i dont like this one much either, would be a good match again, but no reason for it to happen twice) Cena vs. The Rock (Doubtful but if it worked, it'd be cool, the only Cena match that I'd accept ) MITB (Kofi? Christian? CM Punk? THE MIZZ!!!!) Mysterio vs. CM Punk has been talked about in some hair vs mask match, thatd be awesome I never knew the word "whack" was so diverse. I've seen you use it today to describe wrestling, a racist basketball league, and a hurricane. But really, Michaels (from what I've heard about what's going on in wrestling now) seems to be the most obvious choice for Undertaker at WrestleMania. -
All White Basketball League to Form

I hate basketball in all of its forms, so I wouldn't watch this either. Basketball sucks. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 19, 2010 -> 07:32 PM) NBC is handing out severence packages to his staff that will cost them 40M total Oh, awesome.

There are a couple of things I'm wondering. Does this agreement also take care of the writers and staff of Conan's show? If not, I wonder if Conan will make some attempt to share that $40 million. And lastly, can Conan and Fox come to some sort of gentlemen's agreement where they can start building his next studio during this year hiatus instead of having to wait a year JUST to agree to eventually build it.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 05:57 PM) An Orca and Great White Shark face off Weird, I was actually looking for a video of this about a week ago. I was wondering if anything hunts Great Whites, and a google search told me basically only Killer Whales ever do. Youtube didn't really yield any good videos. It's cool as hell to see something everyone views as the scariest thing in the water get put in its place.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 16, 2010 -> 03:33 PM) I keep hearing Goldbergs name being thrown around. I highly doubt that happens, im pretty sure the WWE ruined him for wrestling, and he wasnt much into it anyways. He couldnt stand being anything but a face, he always wanted a squash match, a storyline that favored him. I just dont see those conditions being met for him in TNA IMO, Goldberg was a major factor in ruining WCW. I know he boosted their ratings, but after a while (for me, it was very early in his run) he just got stale and repetitive. He had no talent whatsoever, but the crowds ate up his squashes. I hated it. -
QUOTE (KipWellsFan @ Jan 14, 2010 -> 01:04 AM) Saw Daybreakers last night. Not bad, not great. I thought it was kind of like From Dusk Til Dawn, except it's not funny. It gives 30 Days of a Night a run for its money. I thought 30 Days Of Night was really good, and definitely better than Daybreakers.

QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Jan 13, 2010 -> 07:16 PM) Since there's at least one other country fan here maybe I won't feel alone. Clint Black - Killin' Time Hank Williams - Lost Highway Alan Jackson - Chasin' That Neon Rainbow Dale Watson - Whiskey or God George Jones - If Drinkin' Don't Kill Me (Her Memory Will) Hank Williams Jr. - Family Tradition Randy Travis - 1982 George Strait - Unwound Robert Earl Keen - The Road Goes on Forever John Anderson - Straight Tequila Night Not necessarily my ten favorite songs, just my most played. I once loved mainstream pop country, but then I turned fourteen (I kid, I kid). I much prefer your taste in it. EDIT: Does anyone not use iTunes?
