As disappointing as the Sox can be at times, I am grateful they are not the bears. Such an overrated organization.

Well, the Bears are about to lose, according to game center.

Lead-off double? Or is that an error?

Ozzie is way over-managing this game.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 04:10 PM) Watching Bears, what did Alexei do now? Dropped a pop-up. I am following the Bears online. The Bucs are just marching, huh?

Bulls*** pulling him. That is complete bulls***. He has given no indication that he should be pulled, and now we bring in our s***ty relievers.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 04:01 PM) I would have someone ready to go in the pen if Danks gets in any trouble at all but there is no reason to take him out. Agreed.

Nice play by Alexei. DJ is saying that this is Danks' last inning. Why in the hell would that be the case? Why would we want to hand the ball off to our horrendous bullpen when our starter is cruising and has a low pitch count? He definitely should be given the 8th, and then hand the ball to Jenks for the 9th.

A double on what should have been nothing more than a single. It's a good thing Dye is the slowest RF in the game.

Haha, I've never seen someone so often go from 0-2 to 3-2, and still K after that.

QUOTE (That funky motion @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 03:42 PM) It looks tasty doesn't it? I like ham!!! It sure does. I just thought it had some deeper meaning.

QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 03:30 PM) Neither of our catchers can even come close to throwing runners out. Yeah, but at least AJ can throw out an overweight beat writer when he knows he's going to be trying to steal.

Wow, Hawk tearing apart the offense for sucking for Danks. And Alexei makes a f***tarded play.

QUOTE (jphat007 @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 03:20 PM) Yah, cause saying cmon JOhnny throw a shutout is so awful. You should edit it to say "throw a CG shutout." Danks has been f'd in the A by his offense and bullpen more than any starter in the league this year.

Official 2008-2009 NFL Thread
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 02:07 PM) This game is the main reason I can't latch onto this team, or franchise for that matter. If I was born in Ohio, and looked at the Bears from an outsider, I would laugh. I think the most frustrating aspect is ownership seems to build the team around what they think the fans want in "smash mouth football", which really means s*** QB play, and an overachieving defense. Well, they're supposed to be one of the great NFL franchises, but they've only won one Superbowl.

QUOTE (G&T @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 03:01 PM) To be fair, they are old now. But it's an interesting point. Even PK has turned it on in September after an awful season. It's more obvious with Griffey, IMO. He just doesn't seem to give a rat's ass at all.

Does anyone think opposing pitchers actually look forward to starts against this team? I honestly think they might.
