  1. I find it funny that they just gave a breakdown of Thome's "hits to the OF." Has Thome had an infield hit all year?
  2. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 08:01 PM) I guess to me that means the Sox are close, and not as clueless as "having to run into one". You hit enough of them hard, a few will find the seats. But, those three "almost" homers were probably the only three balls hit even relatively hard (or hit at all).
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 08:02 PM) Two pop outs to LF? Yessum.
  4. Ground out, easy 1-2-3 for Gavin. It looks like a lot of the Blue Jays are trying to go yard.
  5. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 07:57 PM) Granted, I'm listening on the radio, but by my count the Sox have "just missed' a HR 3 times already this game. Exactly. We're getting close to some homers, but looking pretty ugly if not. We need to actually connect on some of them, ha.
  6. Inning. It's becoming pretty clear that we have to hope someone on the Sox just runs into one, and that Gavin throws a shutout.
  7. Uribe looked like a fat, autistic kid in that at-bat. It wasn't a very good at-bat.
  8. Gavin pitches out of it. He looks pretty solid through three innings, despite not having his great stuff.
  9. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 07:49 PM) has any sox pitcher had more errors made behind him than gavin? It has to be him or Buehrle.
  10. Is Scutaro the guy who hit the walk-off homer against us a few years ago? It was the one in Oakland where DJ said something along the lines of "Well, the good news is that ____ hasn't hit a homer since September of last year." And then, whoever it was hit a homer, and Hawk said, "He has now..." in a really pissed off tone. It may have been Durazo. Error on Uribe.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 07:38 PM) If you'd like there are other post-padders who can take over the PBP for ya :-P No thank you. Maybe after I leave. Useless Swisher grounds out. Inning.
  12. Griffey walks, and Swisher comes to the plate with men on first and second.
  13. Alexei steals second. I'm trying to post as much as possible before I have to leave in about an hour so I can get closer to 10,000. Ha.
  14. AJ flies out pretty deep to CF. I'm actually surprised Hawk didn't tell it to stretch.
  15. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 07:32 PM) Gameday ruled it as an error on OC which is all I am following on. I don't think you're lying, but that is just a terrible call to give Cabrera an error.
  16. Cancel the post game show. Alexei has the softest hit I've ever seen.
  17. QUOTE (Wanne @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 07:31 PM) Jesus....how can you honestly miss that friggin call?!? That's pathetic. I understand people make mistakes and all...but these umps are really gettin' to be just plain BAD! Hawk just said, "the keep makin calls like this they'll have to use instant replay in everything..." he's pissed. MLB umpires, when not purposely being dicks, are easily the best referees in any major sport.
  18. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 07:29 PM) Quick inning by Gavin, even with the error. Was that considered an error?
  19. Should have been a 1-2-3 inning, but the umpire says Swisher came off the bag on a ground out.
