We tie it up. And yes, I'm also surprised that Cora managed not to be an idiot in sending someone home where they'd clearly be out again.

BA is easily the least of our worries right now.

Detroit vs Minnesota series
QUOTE(rudylaw @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 04:40 PM) I think one of the teams will win the series by having more victories in the series that the other team. I also think that the team that win each game will score more runs than the other team. Dan Fouts?

7/28/2006 White Sox v. Orioles
QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 06:22 PM) According to Farmio he is at his customary 86 - 88. Hey, don't worry. Maybe he'll start humming it in there at 90-91 after he gives up 6 runs like two starts ago.

Freddy getting to work quick. Took 1 inning to put us in a hole.

Floyd Landis tests positive for testosterone
I've said it before on here. One of my friend's has a brother who is a trainer that has worked with a lot of these cyclists. He says that absolutely all of them are on some kind of drug.

Ha, that translation is rough.

Soriano Rumors: Part Deux
Ha, I just keep thinking Fields will be Joe Borchard pt. 2. I can see how he'll have all this value at 3B, but wouldn't he just end up being a mediocre LF production-wise? If we can get good value for him, get rid of him.
-
Soriano Rumors: Part Deux
I'm tired of hearing that Fields is untouchable. It's getting to the point where I want him traded for something to help us. He will never play 3B for the White Sox and LF's aren't exactly hard to find.

New Line-Up Suggestion
QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 02:59 PM) like your avatar milkman. too bad the Sox couldn't have Mr. Perfect- WE WOULDN'T LOSE! The guy didn't make mistakes. Imagine that on the Sox.

New Line-Up Suggestion
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jul 27, 2006 -> 03:51 PM) Anybody with a brain knew Ozuna wouldn't keep that pace up. Funny, I don't hear anybody endorsing him to be our starting LF anymore. I still think Mackowiak should start in LF and lead off for a while, with Ozuna getting a start once in a while against tough lefties. Same as I've been saying for a long time.

Dontrelle Willis almost a White Sox?
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 01:19 PM) No thx. I'll take my chances with what we have now. If we could have him for no major league pieces, then I'd jump all over that opportunity. Willis would most likely do great his first time through the AL, which would be perfect for the stretch run.

Official "Squared Circle" Thread
QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 12:25 PM) I dunno about her being the female HHH. After all -- in Trish's defense, she's not banging one of the boss's kids. Ha, that's true. But in case you didn't understand what I meant (though I'm sure you did), I was referring to her title reigns that last over a year. And do you know what I'm talking about with the kick thing?

Wickman to the Braves
This gives me a little hope for our prospects of trading for a good reliever. I understand that Wickman isn't great or anything, but this price seems very low.

What Time is it....SKIN TIME WOOT
Am I the only one who is so used to the default blue that another skin throws you out of whack?

Garcia/Garland to the mets?
Sorry, I don't want anything to do with the Mets if we're not getting a bullpen piece. What the fish would be the point of trading for second-tier prospects when we're in a playoff race? The only reason I can see us trading for prospects is to turn around and trade them for ML talent, but what the hell would we get for only second-tier prospects? The Mets don't seem like they really wanna do business.

What Does History Say About Repeats
QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 11:35 AM) its about time a team puts a Brick into the window of that theory I don't know if it's just because I'm tired, but that made me laugh.

Official "Squared Circle" Thread
If you're talking about bad matches, note any match with Trish Stratus. I know nobody actually takes the women's division seriously, including myself, but sometimes it's hilariously bad. My favorite move is when the opponent goes to side kick her, and she does that stupid "Matrix" style backwards falling thing. The best part is that it always takes her about 15 seconds to do it, so the opponent has to actually stop and wait. Plus, Trish is the female HHH.

Joel Zumaya
I only wish our players showed as much heart and enthusiasm as Zumaya did in the series.

We Needed this Loss Today
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 05:38 PM) The Sox are 2-7 in their last 9 FWIW. And the scary part is that we lost all of those series to our competition in the playoff race. I dunno, something just tells me this team doesn't care as much as they did last year. They seem a little too complacent. Losing to the top AL teams makes me think that maybe we're just not as good as them.

Backup Catchers
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 05:02 PM) They're 6 games out of the division and WC races, they're not going to trade their starting catcher. Plus he's got about $8M left on his contract which runs through next year, that would be insane for a backup catcher. I...uh...didn't think I needed green for that one. Kalapse should know this.

Padres, Twins, and Angels. Those are the teams I assume will be looking into him.
