  1. The Tough Enough premiere was pretty good, but not nearly as good as this Million Dollar Man segment:
  2. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Apr 5, 2011 -> 10:48 PM) Where is section GA2? Anybody have any clue? I can't find any of the G sections on a US Cellular Field seating chart.
  3. QUOTE (The Gooch @ Apr 3, 2011 -> 11:00 PM) The Undertaker and Paul Bearer's part. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b97vomTaIzg haha Paul Bearer video game strategy tips. I've read some places that WM was a total s*** show. What happened with the Rock and Cena?
  4. I know that pretty much everybody who posts in this thread is down on wrestling, so I thought it'd be a nice change to talk about something you all enjoyed. What are your all time favorite promos? To start, here's an awesome Piper interview:
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 27, 2011 -> 12:50 AM) Hmm...Rose seems out of character today. He swore in an interview to KC Johnson and said "the worst thing you can do is give me confidence...if you do that I'm hard to stop" (or something to that effect). This is definitely new to me. I don't remember Rose being this, what's the word,...cocky? He did say he hasn't accomplished anything yet and that the Bulls have seen nothing but first round exits thus far...but still, out of character. I've seen flashes of that too. Maybe a month ago, I was watching a post game (on the court) interview with him. The interviewer asked him how he felt about the MVP chants. He started by saying, "Keep it coming!", but then quickly backed off and finished the interview in his usual soft spoken way. It was like he caught himself getting a little cocky and then realized he should reign it in or something. Weird.
  6. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 18, 2011 -> 10:27 AM) He's a terrible actor. Edit: That is a bold, underlined period in size 7 at the end of that sentence. I will never understand the appeal of Michael Cera, Jesse Eisenberg and Jay Baruchel. They all play the exact same character in every f***ing movie. It's not endearing or charming or funny. It's just annoying and played out at this point. Take an acting class for f***'s sake.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 18, 2011 -> 01:37 PM) It doesn't seem that way. It is that way. But there's nothing that can realistically be done right now. A combination of poor drafting, the 1st commandment of thou shall not go overslot, and KW's gunslinger go for it every year mentality has left us with next to nothing internally. We're a mediocre 2011 season away from becoming the AL version of the Houston Astros. That's why this is by far the biggest season of the KW/Ozzie regime. It sounds simple. But it really is either win or fade away into the baseball abyss of suckage for the next 5 years. Do you ever get sick of being this guy?
  8. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 10:02 PM) Homecourt is clearly the key to me. The Bulls are a much different team when feeding off the United Center crowd. One thing that is potentially nice is that Miami even though it's a homecourt, they aren't nearly as passionate as Bulls, Celtic, Magic, etc. fans. 25-4 at the UC. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 10:07 PM) Unless they have home court I don't think they can beat Miami in a series. They aren't going to win all 3 home games and I don't think they can split in Miami. Fair enough.
  9. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 09:53 PM) I still think the Heat would win in 6 but honestly at this point it wouldn't shock me if the Bulls push it to 7 so getting home court will be huge. What would it take for you to believe the Bulls could take a playoff series against Miami? A blowout win in the final regular season match up?
  10. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 24, 2011 -> 09:40 PM) Also going back to a fun argument from this summer, Deng>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Hinrich f*** yea. Deng stuck it up the Heat's ass in the 2nd half. 99, how do you feel about the Bulls matching up with the Heat in the playoffs after tonight?
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 23, 2011 -> 04:26 PM) They've got some serious length/athleticism with Wallace, Batum and Aldridge. They'd be too scary with a healthy roster. Speaking of that, is Greg Oden alive?
  12. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 02:06 AM) No f***ing contest, my friend. Keep in mind Konerko was hit in the head by a pitch earlier in the game, I just assume he hit the 2nd while suffering from a severe concussion. (the 2nd was off Borowski) That bat flip is pretty fantastic. I was at the game in the bleachers and that home run ball landed a few yards from me. I was too busy marking the f*** out to care about grabbing it. How many times has PK pulled off the *get beaned/hit a HR* feat? Last year against the Twins and the aforementioned Cubs game -- any others? (Fun fact: I was at both games.)
  13. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 2, 2011 -> 09:57 AM) Indeed. I had to look away. What is up with Gaspar Noé doing that? The very end of Irreversible is seizure inducing too -- a minute or so of a flashing black and white screen for no reason.
  14. QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Jan 30, 2011 -> 10:45 PM) Traded by Dubyah for Harold Baines Salome Barojas 1st week in the majors, recorded 5 saves in 5 opportunities. Mélido Pérez
  15. Here's a breakdown of Bane's history in the comics for anyone curious about him. http://io9.com/5738053/why-is-this-guy-you...ne=true&s=i
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 19, 2011 -> 05:08 AM) I guess this is Colin Firth week for me so far. A Single Man and The King's Speech. Although Love Actually, still, is my all-time favorite of his. Has anyone seen Hereafter? The reviews were so mixed (Ebert gave it a 4), I didn't know what to expect. It's obviously a BIG topic to deal with in a movie, but I thought it was quite well-done and thought-provoking. It wasn't Gran Torino or Million Dollar Baby, but I actually enjoyed it a lot. Damon's perhaps evolving into one of the top 3-5 actors of his generation. You can put him right up there with Bale, Russell Crowe, Depp, DiCaprio and anyone else you might care to name...Will Smith when he has the right role, too. It was such a slow developing movie with little payoff at the end. Damon was great in it though. I've never seen him "mail in" a role like I've seen other actors at his level do. caulfield, if you liked the female lead (Cécile De France), you should check out High Tension. It's a pretty decent horror film.
  17. QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 11:19 PM) I don't doubt it, but I'm just saying, as a whole, their schedule has been fairly easy so far. And the numbers back me up on that. Really, I don't even care and it doesn't really matter. All the schedule talk is an interesting tangent more than anything. As an impartial bystander, I do think Orlando is a better team that'll make more noise in the postseason than Chicago, especially after their trades. Chicago is a good team, and it's certainly possible that when they get fully healthy they'll reach a new level previously unseen, but I don't think they can be considered the elite in the Eastern Conference until their shooting guard situation gets fixed. Felix, have you always been a TWolves fan? Or just since you started working for them?
  18. QUOTE (3E8 @ Jan 8, 2011 -> 07:19 PM) Bad Lieutenant (2009) You have to be joking me.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 8, 2011 -> 06:43 PM) What a run! He threw that guy like 5 feet with one arm! That was insane! Can't believe the first sub .500 playoff team just sent the defending champs home in the first round.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 8, 2011 -> 02:10 PM) If he doesn't have an offer anywhere else, that'd still make sense...both to have him in Charlotte...and maybe to even break camp with the team, if Thornton is the closer and Sale starts the season as a starter. It is also worth noting that Byrdak is a southsider. (He went to high school with my older sister.) So, that might be a motivating factor in playing for the Sox.
  21. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 8, 2011 -> 05:02 PM) Don't ever look at things at a whole man. Just remember the really rare bad times and over exaggerate. The ridiculous comments are getting to be too much. The Sox should have won the division in 2010. Even with all kinds of stuff going wrong, they turned in a respectable record. Then KW goes on to have one of his best offseasons in his entire tenure as GM and turns an already competitive team into a legit championship threat. Yet, there is still complaining.
  22. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jan 8, 2011 -> 02:28 PM) Do you envision a return to the corpseball days of Thome, Konerko, Dye? Those were the worst, and people used to think that was a good offense. I'm with ya man, I hope this doesn't become Corpse: The Return. I guess we have better players all around so I don't see it being that bad with Dunn. You mean like 06 when the White Sox offense was raping 'erbody out there? Yea, that sucked.
  23. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 10:32 PM) Wow, Nicholas Cage hasn't made a good film in a long time. Kick Ass was awesome (I realize he wasn't the main character in the film) and Lord of War was pretty good. He has also been in some passable family fare like The Sorcerer's Apprentice and the two National Treasure movies. He has made a lot of s***ty movies in his career. It's not anything new.
