  1. the anchor on 30 day leave is an ex WWE employee, not surprising You know, its pretty funny that ESPN gets all righteous about that headline, when pretty much all of their coverage about him revolves on asian stereotypes. It was pretty s***ty of that web designer to put it up, but how is it much different than watching a Knicks game and seeing them zoom in on signs in the stands that say stuff like "See, asians CAN drive"
  2. Sting left a cryptic message on his twitter "Im done"
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 19, 2012 -> 09:17 AM) Watched the end of regulation and OT of Dayton/Xavier last night. Dillard was pretty good. No way! He is a cancer! Just ask Lowery. You can replace guys like that with JUCOs, no big deal
  4. I could care less what Bowden thinks. I do find it funny that he is questioning the direction the rebuilding is going, as if he ever successfully rebuilt anything Bowden should hold some more fake press conferences.
  5. SIU sets another futility record, tying the program mark for losses in a season with 20. All of you b****ing about Bruce should just glance to the program 3 hours south to see how bad things can really get.
  6. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 18, 2012 -> 03:22 PM) It's been hard to follow the team from afar. Did Rose die? Where the hell has he been? Rose got back spasms about 2 weeks ago, he tried to play through it against the hornets and made it worse, so they have been sitting him ever since
  7. Sometimes ESPN's ability to be dumb is just astounding. Even after everything they have already done and proven
  8. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Feb 17, 2012 -> 06:30 PM) Ha, I'm a chronic only read the last few posts after I'm not in a thread for 12 hours type of person, especially if there's 7-8 new pages added to a thread in that time. It wasn't meant to be a "please read before you post" reply, sorry if it came off that way. It was just funny that what you said was almost word for word what steve and felix said to each other.
  9. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 17, 2012 -> 04:42 PM) Sucks that one guy ruined it for the whole team though. At the same time, they wouldn't be there without him. I'm sure they can all wait a few hours to get hammered and enjoy a ginger ale shower
  10. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Feb 17, 2012 -> 12:50 PM) I was so sure the Rangers would have O'Doul's both times they won the ALCS, but it was Ginger Ale. Someone on the O'Doul's sales staff is bad at their job. I dont think the rangers want anything resembling beer around Hamilton
  11. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Feb 17, 2012 -> 01:21 PM) Lebron is physically superior to everyone today. I don't get what this proves. To me it proves that this argument will go on forever, and there will be those in Wilt/Bills corner and those who are not
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 17, 2012 -> 01:04 PM) You seem to not understand. You can only grade players on who they play against. Those arguments are all silly. You simply cannot compare players across eras. Competition breeds talent. The game has evolved. Yes, if you stuck Bill Russell in a time machine, transported him to last night's Bulls/Celtics games and said "go" he'd be f***ed. He wasn't privy to the sports medicine and training of the day, and certainly to the speed of the game. If you cloned a baby Bill Russell and let that little science experiment grow up in today's world, competing against better and more frequent talent day in and day out, playing in college, then the NBA, then he COULD dominate. However, there's no guarantee that everything goes right. Seriously, there are SO MANY VARIABLES that go into that discussion. The only discussion worth having is "did he rise above the competition in his era". In the case of Hall of Famers, that most certainly will be the case. goddamn steve, sometimes you are S-M-R-T
  13. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Feb 17, 2012 -> 01:08 PM) I'm being totally serious, especially concerning the Thundercats. I'd love a live action film based on that show. Can you think of a more perfect fit for a character than Michael Clark Duncan for Panthro? I would love it too. But it would have to be motion capture Avatar-style imo
  14. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Feb 17, 2012 -> 11:46 AM) No. It's time for new movies and new ideas. Its always that time. unfortunately, reboots, remakes, and reimaginings arent going away any time soon
  15. i just read a review of Ghostrider 2. This was in the second paragraph of the review
  16. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Feb 17, 2012 -> 09:54 AM) Now we just need a live action of Thundercats and a re-boot of He-Man and my childhood cartoons will all have been brought to life as funny as it is, dont discount it.
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 17, 2012 -> 11:06 AM) Now it appears they're building a juggernaut. LOL it's f***ing JR Smith. PG Lin SG Smith SF Melo PF Amare C Tyson That should be good for about 120 points against any given night. "Seven Seconds or Less" will be arriving in MSG rather soon. Much like the previous "contenders" in Phoenix, this team stands no chance of actually winning anything. JR Smith makes them a juggernaut like Tyson Chandler makes them an elite defense
  18. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 17, 2012 -> 02:45 AM) I wish someone would remake The Crow. they have been trying for years, go to Screenrant.com and search The Crow in their database. The most recent person to drop out of the title role was Bradley Cooper. I think the main problem is that nobody can come up with a story that isnt a straight rehash of the original. Nobody wants a shot for shot remake
  19. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Feb 17, 2012 -> 04:20 AM) Felix what's your thoughts on the Pau Gasol to Minny rumors that are floating around right now. Although I read another scenario which I think may make more sense for the T-Wolves, Gasol to Houston, Kevin Martin + something to Minnesota, and the Lakers get some pieces (e.g Dragic + Scola + Beasley? + something), which may work out better for the T-Wolves, especially with the way Pekovic has come on. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 16, 2012 -> 10:37 AM) Hey Felix, are you hearing these Derrick Williams + picks + salary rumors for Pau Gasol? QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 16, 2012 -> 04:36 PM) I'd be pretty surprised if this were to happen. Kahn hasn't been a big trade type of GM and has already said we're basically sticking with minor moves unless someone blows him away. Plus, the need for a Gasol-type player has been minimized as of late by Nikola Pekovic tearing s*** up. We've got a much bigger need at the 2/3, so I wouldn't see us blowing our assets on a big when it's not the most glaring problem facing our team. Something I think is more likely would be a Pau Gasol to HOU, Kevin Martin to MIN, Derrick Williams to LA type deal. That makes sense for all the teams involved, I think, but probably has too many hurdles to get through to actually be done. LOL, its funny how you posted that without reading the previous conversation.
  20. RIP. What a shame, he was one of the good guys
  21. Can you believe the model casting director for the Victorias Secret Angels said that Upton isn't good enough to be an Angel?

QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 16, 2012 -> 09:34 AM) It would make me very suspicious of the breeder if I just purchased a pup from him/her and it came with fleas... I would be disappointed to say the least, and call and raise some hell about it. At this point the damage is done though

    The Pet Thread

QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Feb 16, 2012 -> 09:00 AM) Our Vizsla pup, who we picked up last Saturday, apparently has fleas. And our two cats, who apparently have been eating the fleas, now have worms. We got the topical treatments from the vet for both the cats and the pup (and the cats got the pills for dealing with the worms) and I know we need to do a pretty thorough cleaning of the house to get rid of any and all fleas. Has anyone else dealt with the flea issue before? What do we need to do to make sure they don't come back? What products have people had sucess with? man, that really sucks. When i lived in Carbondale, it seemed like every house we moved into had issues. 2 things that must be done are treatment of the carpet/upholstery and treatment of the lawn. fleas drop eggs everywhere, and those eggs hatch as soon as a host is available, so you have to kill the eggs. there is a carpet powder you can get, and a lawn treatment as well. the carpet powder is a total pain in the rear because you have to leave it on for a while, I think a half hour. I would look on the petmeds website for some brands you could use, im sure they have some different things
  24. Sorry for your loss, HH. At least he got to see a world championship in his time
  25. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 14, 2012 -> 12:38 PM) Apparently his wife is from Maryland, and doesn't like to fly. "Wife, this is California. We have millions. Now shut yer mouth." problem solved
