I understand what Ozzie is trying to do, he is trying to spread the lineup out so it isnt all of his better hitters at the top and an automatic 123 at the bottom, but it is pretty ugly.

QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Jun 14, 2009 -> 12:01 AM) Do people with peanut allergies really have it that bad that they can't be in the same park as them? Yes. My coworker developed a peanut allergy when she was about 20 years old(had absolutely no problem with them prior, one day she was sent to the hospital with her throat completely swollen shut) So many things are made with peanut products, and it seriously makes the allergic people itchy just being around that stuff,

Official 2008-2009 NBA Thread
QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jun 12, 2009 -> 09:15 PM) I just think Kobe wants it more, you could see it in his face and that rubs off on his teamates,Gasol,Odom and especially Riza have stepped it up...Fisher showed us last night why Jackson still believes in him. Kobe hasn't had to take this series over because his supporting cast have played well, they are tough to beat when that happens. The Bulls as an organization suck, and I'm a Bulls fan,the way the ran out Jackson after their 6th ring was disgraceful,Krause is an idiot,we should've fired that fat ass and kept Phil,he's a hell of a coach. If Reinsdorf really cared about winning,he would've kept him in Chicago, gone after a top tier FA(Garnett) and build a team around him, there would be a line at the door of top players wanting to play for Jackson since he's a well regarded coach and a winner, that's the difference between Reinsdorf and Dr Buss, the Lakers' boss wants to win and doesn't mind paying for it. Congrats to Kobe and the Lakers,we could only dream of having a basketball organization in Chicago that really wants to win and puts up the cash for it. Wow. Overreact much Mariotti? 6 titles wasnt enough for you?

Encore has been running hellraiser for the past couple of weeks, so i watched it for the first time since I was a little kid. Dear lord, that is some hideous acting. The flashback scene with Frank showing up and meeting Julia before the wedding was hilarious, I was almost crying the acting was so bad funny.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jun 12, 2009 -> 11:05 PM) If we're not giving up a s*** load and we can sign him to an extension, a move like this makes perfect sense... if we're trading a lot for a renta player though, yeah, it makes no sense. we all know how Mr Boras doesn't do extensions when his clients are primed to go into free agency.

The End of Murph
QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jun 12, 2009 -> 07:16 PM) I'll miss Murph. He added some variety. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I hope he sticks around, even if it's just weekends. The obvious positives coming from this are Mac+Extra hour of B&B. Even though I liked Murph, this move makes the Score much better. I get the feeling that a good amount of Murph bashers are just Silvy and Waddle (Mike and Mike Chicago Style) listeners. I enjoy a radio host that can let a guest finish answering a question that is asked, that asks questions that relate to the subject at hand. I have listened to Waddle and Silvy maybe once or twice since they paired up, I am much more of a score listener than an ESPN1000 listener, and Murph is just unbearable for me. And I have listened to a lot of different radio hosts in the past 10 years, from Steven A Smith on the Fox networks(which was 3 hours of him screaming at callers that they were wrong) to Steve Czaban, Jim Daniels, Jason Smith, etc. Murph is by far the worst I have listened to, it amazes me that he was able to retain his job for 16 years in the cutthroat business that is Radio

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jun 12, 2009 -> 02:23 PM) I'm thinking for Final Destination 5 they take this formula to the maximum and have some random person foresee the destruction of the planet by a large asteroid. By some implausible set of circumstances he prevents the disaster, and now the whole movie is 6 billion people dying in gruesome and ridiculous ways. I'd pay for that. WINNAR! /End thread LOL Flash, thats awesome. Armageddon meets Final Destination would be hilarious. The comet somehow misses earth, then performs a large U-turn and slams into the sun which brushes into earth

QUOTE (longshot7 @ Jun 12, 2009 -> 01:13 PM) Oh, I'm soooooooooo surprised. Sommers is THE worst big budget director working today. Didnt they see Van Helsing before they hired him? Why do the big production companies skimp and save when it comes hiring for these movies? i just dont get it, this franchise has a built in fanbase that would come out for just a decent movie, but it looks like we have Van Damme StreetFighter or DragonBall Evolution all over again. Thats a shame, this kind of movie could go a long way and it looks like they killed it before it even got a chance.

black jack on white sox, beckham handling
i think Beckham wasnt Ozzie's decision to call up, so that is a big part of why he has a grudge. if Beckham starts to do what we all know he can do, Ozzie will mellow out and warm up to him just like he did with Quentin last year
