QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 10:31 PM) So many great lines in that film, but it contains my all time favorite: Walken: "Do you know who I am?" Hopper: "I give up, who are you?" Walken: "The anti Christ. You get me in a vendetta kind of mood and you can tell the angels in heaven you've never seen evil so singularly personified as in the face of the man who killed you." I think that whole discussion between the two of them is awesome, but due to the graphic racist nature of the end of the conversation, I will not quote it for anyone.
  2. I have a griffin Itrip that is now 4 years old, and only in the last 3 months has it given me any problems. My buddy has the itrip that is a dock that you plug into your lighter and he loves it. They arent that cheap, they range from 40-100 bucks, but you can find them on ebay too.
  3. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 09:17 AM) He played on the Sox opening day, I know I was there to see him. Maybe it was not clear, but I was comparing Griffey playing his first home game, to the White Sox playing their home opener (opening day for the Sox at home). CQ was on the field that day, although Ramirez was not. The way I look at it, managers put players in a position to succeed in order to win. Griffey was facing off against a lefthander, and continued to face tough lefthanders for the rest of the game until extra innings, where he faced a nearly unhittable Rodney, he really wasnt in a position to succeed I wouldnt have minded if Griffey say vs Robertson and faced verlander, I am not of the "He is Griffey so you must play him" mindset
  4. Danks had an absolutely filthy outside changeup to righthanders, set up by his cutter on the hands, and he used the cutter vs lefties to sneak onto the inside corner. Toby Hall called a really nice game last night, Danks looked really good out there
  5. My friend Chesli saw it happen, she said it was horrifying

QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 04:37 PM) Now now, nothing good comes from this... You should see them fight in chat. Once they made me cry because it was so awful
  7. I will be around for a while. At least long enough to bicker with Bob Dylan

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 03:57 PM) I recently watched it for the first time and thought it was meh. It's probably the high expectations from friends boasting about it to me for the past few years. You probably heard every quote possible from the movie without actually seeing it. I can imagine that making the movie less funny
  10. I know its a source of pride and I would love if the Sox farm system produced more ML talent that made an impact with the Sox, but at the same time I just want a team on the field who will win. If it has to come from other farm systems, so be it
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 01:19 PM) Indeed. I did find it odd that we had 3 lefties in the lineup against Robertson. But how could you bench Jr in his first home game? Hasnt Thome been pretty good against lefties this year?
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 01:06 PM) Exactly. Im pretty sure that was sarcasm from SB, I dont think he meant that
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 12:46 PM) Sean Gallagher to the DL with possibly a blown out shoulder. Cubs trading damaged goods?

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 12:42 PM) Brad Pitt rules in his small role. "Don't condescend me, man. I'll f*cking kill you, man!" I like when he offers the mobster hitmen his bong and realizes they have guns in thier hands. "Do you want some? Oh, ok"

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 11:06 AM) Off today and popping in "True Romance". Always a good movie to watch on a lazy day. Gary Oldman is great in his small scene
  16. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 10:39 AM) Well, if you read the story, it appeared he picked out his victim, because he switched seats to sit by the kid. Also the kid appeared to be of slight build, which could have been one of the reasons he was chosen, because the killed probably wanted to attack someone who 1. Wouldnt put up a fight and 2. would be easy to slice and dice. By random attack I mean that he doesnt know the guy. Of course he picked out a victim on the bus who was least likely to fight back.
  17. QUOTE (SpringfieldFan @ Aug 6, 2008 -> 09:04 AM) I have a scary thought. Its bad enough to consider that any of us could just as easily be such a victim someday. However, given the description of this attacker's benign character, is it also possible that any of us could inexplicably snap and make such an attack? SFF Thats the first and only thing that gets me about this whole sick situation. It was a total random attack, and its scary to think that someone on a plane, bus, train, standing next to you in line at mcdonalds, etc. could just unload on you unsuspectingly. And to think that this one guy with a knife was able to hold off 37 others by fear alone, its just scary to think about
  18. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 02:49 PM) At least we have a new euphemism for jacking it. "Im gonna go Haley"
  19. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 02:22 PM) I can't believe no one tried to address that situation, I would not stand for guys beating it around me, gay or not. Besides being known for beating his thang, Haley was also known to be insane
  20. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 12:59 PM) Is Ozzie that smart? Really. I say it's a co-inkee-dinkee. Well, it seems to coincidentally happen every time the Sox are slumping. Just saying
  21. I have to say that the second line of the subject title is pretty funny in when taking the story in context
  22. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 4, 2008 -> 10:24 PM) 6-0 Twins in the 7th. Ballgame. Or not. Ibanez just hit a slam to make it 6-5 with an out in the 7th. Make that 6-6. THIS?TEAM?IS?DEAD? LOL
  23. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 07:51 AM) I lived in Colombia, South America, for one year...and it's just a given that when you bring money into the US from another country, you should never even dream about bringing more than $10,000. I'm sure Wilder thought he could sneak it through in his luggage and didn't declare it on his customs declaration. If he was smart, he would have taken the loss and sent it to someone through Western Union...then again, this might have created a paper trail, perhaps that was his concern. There are other options, though, like bank/wire transfers (another electronic trail). I think www.xoom.com might have worked. All I know is that I would never contemplate bringing that much money into the US from another country, especially a Caribbean country where they're looking for drug money/laundering/embezzling at the entry points/ports/international airports into the States. Or even better, he could have taken his salary like a normal guy and not engage in illegal activities like skimming payouts.
  24. QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 07:14 AM) freddy was absolutely a power pitcher back in the day Oh yeah he was. He had a mid-90's fastball with tons of movement. I think he broke more than a few bats in his start against the White Sox in the 2000 playoffs

Here is a leaked teaser trailer for the new Wolverine movie. It doesnt look that bad to me, but I am a pushover for comicbook movies and I was interested to see what they do with his character. Its bootlegged, but not too bad
