  1. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 09:21 AM) pfft. This is his own personal business. Frankly, we don't know what his baby's mother acts like, but from the bits and pieces I've gathered, I know enough to draw some tentative conclusions. Sounds like a perfect case of not acting like you deserve respect. She is a crazy b****. She tried to sue Michael Flatley for millions(IIRC for rape) and lost the suit, now he is countersuing edit: She LOST the suit and now owes Flatley 11 million bucks. http://www.efluxmedia.com/news_Michael_Fla...suit_11568.html
  2. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 03:12 PM) At the beginning of the year there were plenty of people saying Quentin shouldnt be on the roster because he had such an abbreviated ST and didnt look all that great in the time he played. I just reread the Wise callup thread, it was more of a call for Bourgeois or Getz, not Owens. My bad
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 03:08 PM) Someone criticized Owens over Wise? Someone was upset that CQ made the roster? At the beginning of the year there were plenty of people saying Quentin shouldnt be on the roster because he had such an abbreviated ST and didnt look all that great in the time he played.
  4. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 02:49 PM) Luckily, it's against the Royals, but this isn't the same team as last year who he dominated. Why would we start a guy who was bad in AAA over a guy like Poreda who has the stuff and control or even Carrasco? This organization continues to amaze me with their decisions. Every decision that has been criticized in the past year still has left the team in first place in August. From resigning Uribe, Keeping Quentin on the roster, giving Alexei a shot, Bringing up Wise over Owens, everything has been criticized. Let the kid pitch and see what he has got. He did pretty well last year given a shot, I dont think its terrible decision making to give him another shot
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 03:15 PM) Thanks for nothing Yanks. They gave back 1st place last night. Now its up to the Sox to keep it
  6. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 02:00 PM) The music = Trollers? Ok. What about the previous game where I stated the game was over, and took flak from a few posters for making that prediction. Guess what, Tony? I didn't come back with the adolescent "I told you so!" posts for those who said we were going to win that game when we DID end up losing. Some of the people here, seriously. Visit the chat sometime, I'm definitely not the only person who feels this way about this place. You guys have more posters who care more about 1-upping people who make false predictions, than they care about the games, or their fellow Sox fans. That's a joke, IMO. LOL, I wouldnt use the Chat to back up any claim. What happens in chat, stays in chat
  7. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 11:19 AM) Urlacher is a huge douche. Try meeting him in person. And I'm talking more than once or twice. I'm also not the only person who shares this thought. I'm suprised no one has called him out on the fact that he doesn't tip at all like people do with Pippen. And no, I did not wait his tables. I have some friends that work at Grand Victoria. That doesnt put him in the same boat as someone who leaves a crashed lamborghini on the expressway. And I dont see how that makes him any different from Chad Johnson. I never hear about Johnson being the nicest person in the world when he is threatening to boycott camp for more money and demanding to be traded and shopping himself to other teams while under contract with the Bengals.
  8. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 08:09 AM) He's not really overrated at all. He's that good. I don't know why so many people hate on a guy who makes the league fun. He's entertaining. He doesn't go off and get arrested like so many players in the NFL. You never heard him causing trouble or having problems off the field such as Brian Urlacher or Lance Briggs. He goes about his business, works hard and is passionate about the sport he plays. Briggs I will give you, Urlacher shouldnt have to have his baby mamma drama posted all over the front page. Thats low grade journalism. Divorces and custody cases arent anyones business but the parties involved, and Urlachers kids mom is quite the glamor hungry gold digger
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 12, 2008 -> 11:36 AM) No more game threads for me next year. Hmmmm, I dont remember it being about gamethreads as much as complete posting priveledges...... Maybe it might save your blood pressure if Gavin is successful
  10. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Aug 12, 2008 -> 10:18 AM) Haha. I promise you, though, in the long run, the PS3 will beat out both the Wii and 360. The PS3 is a horse. Next year there is a game coming out called MAG, it's a 250 player MMO FPS. Now if only they make an MMO RPG... There are some awesome games coming out in the next few months. Socom, COD 5, End War, Ghostbusters, Star Wars, Fallout 3, Resistance 2, Prince of Persia, Tiger Woods, Far Cry 2. They're not all exclusive (I think Socom and Resistance are the only two), but I'm excited to get my game on. Im excited to play these too. Hopefully Ghostbusters doesnt get cancelled on us because of the buyout
  11. QUOTE (The Critic @ Aug 12, 2008 -> 10:14 AM) I don't make mistakes. The players made mistakes by not playing up to/down to my expectations. You are my boy, Blue!!!!! I didnt think Dotel was going to be nearly as effective as he is this year.
  12. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 10:20 PM) Sony could really damage the Wii if this is true: http://news.softpedia.com/news/PlayStation...ler-88153.shtml LOL. Keep that hope alive Bob One day, you will get your wish and vengeance will fall upon the Wii!!!!!!! *dramatic organ music*
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 03:48 PM) Free if you order the Comcast Triple Play. I seriously considered a craig's list ad to swap my 360 for a wii just because my wife would get involved. However, I then got greedy and thought of Madden (pre-ordered yesterday) and NBA 2k9... That comcast deal pisses me off so much because I already have the triple play deal. I wouldnt mind having my own Wii and not having to share it.

  15. Was German a Detroit Tiger at one point?

This is a dead heat.
  17. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 11:48 AM) Byrd not having a $9M contract for next season puts him a tier above Washburn. I have a feeling KW would work on getting some cash in the deal if he were to work out something for washburn, JMO
  18. QUOTE (shipps @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 10:53 AM) Everyone is smiling I want to smile too. Stop being so damn happy, you are less of a fan for smiling at a time like this
  19. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 10:52 AM) Which means we'll get Paul Byrd Byrd is shooting high, Im thinking more along the lines of Loaiza again
  20. QUOTE (Texsox @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 11:50 AM) I sleigh you? Sorry, I'm not Santa. That was a golden opportunity to use this icon You disappoint me Tex
  21. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 10:50 AM) I am only going off what was just said on Baseball tonight. Yeah, I think both your source and my source are equally reputable.
  22. Team sources are saying that he has already cleared waivers, so no claim is necassary. Now its up to the teams to work out a deal http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/mari...921_mari09.html
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 09:26 AM) That is beyond scary. I've been optimistic about this team this year, perhaps very uncharacteristically, but if Broadway gets a rotation spot, I believe the Sox chances just went significantly lower. Its a garbage move. Maybe Broadway is a patch until a trade is worked out
  24. QUOTE (shipps @ Aug 10, 2008 -> 09:53 AM) I added that for the comedic value that Unicorns have.Yeah I pushed the strength of pot a little too far,but to be fair if you got that real good Jamaican stuff you might see some things. I wouldnt know
