Shingo is learning the importance of fastball location this year. Noone really knew what to expect from him last year except a whole bunch of junk. Now that the book is out on him, he is having to figure out how to use his fastball to set up his junk. It is almost hurting his offspeed pitches though, because he isnt throwing them as much, and he isnt having the good location because of it. I think he is starting to get it though. He needs a couple more outings like the one he had tonite, sans the leadoff walk.

Man, Tadahito is really lost out there with the bat tonite. He must be homer happy right now, and trying to pick up a quick few at Coors.

Milkman wins. Sircaffey is irked, as am I f***in Timo. dammit.

Freddy has taken his game to another level right now. A 2 hitter through 7 innings in Coors field is really impressive. I would run Freddy out there in the eighth to see what he has got, then let him finish if he mows them down again. Shingo and Viz dont need work that bad, IMO, Freddy deserves the complete game.

Tadahito is in a funk right now. He wasnt picking up Joe Kennedy at all earlier. It seems like he is pulling off the ball alot right now. Garcia is in absolute cruise control.

Anyone notice Hawks thinly vieled jab at Joe Borchard when they were talking about drafting baseball players instead of athletes?

Alot of possibilities in this one. Should Mark and Jon win both of their first starts, then I would want to stick with my rotation. If they should lose one or both, it could get a little hairy. I would say performance will dictate the rotation.
