Nobody here is sad for Ricketts.
-
Honestly wouldn't think it would be a bad thing to reshoot the "good guys wear black" commercials frame by frame with the current players
-
Vikings OC Kevin Stefanski to be named Browns HC
-
This offseason has shown that money is indeed an object to Ricketts
-
He rejected their extension proposal and now they are in court for his service time manipulation. I think the time for solving it all by throwing a lot of money at him has long since passed, in fact it may not ever have been much of a possibility. Boras made it pretty well known that they were pretty pissed off that he was held down for the extra year. Bryant is gonna be traded.

Lol Bryant as the everyday Cf? Ok then

So, the Yankees failing to deal Clint Frazier at the height of his value indicates.....that Sabermetrics contributes to your opinion a front office being too conservative???? The Yankees. The New York Yankees were too conservative and over reliant on sabermetrics and this is the result. -

I'm still trying to figure out why Friedman holding on to players like Seager, Bellinger, Buehler is a bad thing when his teams are still winning 92+ games every year and knocking on the door of a championship -

Nobody is pointing to them as the reason for the job not getting done but you -

The cubs and Red Sox both run heavy sabermetric based front offices. The royals lost every player that won for them because they wouldn't pay them and none of that has to do with sabermetrics -

Connect it to the team being conservative. Don't name a sabermetric value and waive your hand dismissively at it. A team prioritizing a better deal for a better player doesn't make sabermetrics bad -

Honestly man, every time you make one of these proclamations without doing any sort of rudimentary research you just spin yourself deeper and deeper. Everything you have said is just wrong and you know it. The dodgers have made the World Series multiple times in the past five years, they are one of the if not the most winning team in the national league over the last decade. At no point can you say that their moves have been detrimental to the success of the team -

Playoffs. Are. A. Crapshoot. you have yet to name one team that favors $/war over winning. In fact, you have named four teams that USE $/war and win. the 90s Braves aren't even part of a sabermetric argument so quit trying to move the goalposts -

Playoffs are a crapshoot, consistently getting to the playoffs means you are winning. Your argument just now stated that teams aren't trying to win in favor of saving money. I ask you how many games they won this season and all the sudden it doesn't matter. Their payroll approaches 200 million, and you say Friedman is running the team like he did in Tampa. This argument is all bullshit and you know it -

How many games did they win last season -

Please explain how they did not try to win -
Clearly the most important game of the day is SIU @ Bradley

Seriously? The dodgers? They have been wildly successful with saber metrics and have arguably been one of the if not the best teams in the national league since they pivoted. This is a terrible example and the bullshit argument was yours, not mine. So when you make it, you better damn well be able to back it up. -

Name me one team that covets $/WAR over winning a World Series -

sabermetrics are there whether you choose to use them or not. Saying they are ruining the game is the height of ignorance. They are a tool to be used, if you choose to ignore them and your team gets run over by a team that uses them and benefits from their use, that's on you. If a GM uses them and is successful, I have no idea why you would think that is ruining the game. -
Hell yea base wars gets a nod. Loved that game as a kid

Sox may have interest in Maybin, per fake Cishek

Maybe I'm missing something but all I see is him piggybacking off a lot of mlb writer talk. He has thrown a lot out there that can't really be verified (the cease trade talk, McCann and Collins possibly being traded) i dunno
