QUOTE (ptatc @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 02:59 PM) In the books the Solo twins Jacen and Jaina are on opposite sides. Jaina winds up killing Jacen who became a dark side apprentice. I know, that’s what I was saying
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 01:34 PM) I think the simple version of it is...if the President is obstructing justice, tell me what he did that he is obstructing. In the Clinton 98 case, he did not commit an underlying crime. He lied to cover up a relationship that, while inappropriate, was still 2 consenting, legal adults. Follow that standard - tell me what the underlying crime is that the President himself did. If he just wanted to protect Flynn because they're both white supremacists and if you want to beat up enough muslims you need good people to do it...that's not an impeachable offense to my eyes. If he wanted to protect Flynn because Flynn was one of his co-conspirators in a crime that he had knowledge of during its commission and then used to great effect in the campaign...that's a fundamentally different setup because he's also a conspirator. I’m pretty sure if they charge him with obstructing Justice, they will tell you what he is obstructing. And they aren’t going to tell you right now, but all signs are pointing to money laundering and conspiracy, with money laundering being the main focus
  3. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 09:06 AM) Is Ryan Pace safe? Do we go back to that outside source that makes all of the Bears hirings for more great insight? I think Pace is safe for now, especially after drafting Mitch. He will be allowed to get a second coach, and that coach will need to produce pretty quickly or Pace will be out.
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 4, 2017 -> 06:00 AM) What frustrates me is that the 49ers seemed to have no issue completing passes on 3rd down when needed. It's not like Jimmy G had pinpoint accuracy, they just kept running slants and their receivers were always wide open. And their guys aren't any more talented than the Bears. In the immortal words of John Fox, “it was all bad”

    Very dubious use of “U”
  6. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 3, 2017 -> 07:57 PM) Missed the second half. Seems pretty bad that they could only manage one offensive touchdown against the niners. Did Trubisky show anything hopeful in the second half? He was put in 3rd and long all day and managed to go 12/15. Held the ball too long a few times but the playcalling was yet again atrocious.
  7. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Dec 3, 2017 -> 06:33 PM) Bob Nightengale‏Verified account @BNightengale 19s19 seconds ago The Chicago #WhiteSox are also out on Ohtani Ultimate sadness
  8. QUOTE (gosoxtim8 @ Dec 3, 2017 -> 06:32 PM) i dont know why he would go the cubs becase just a another piece and not the person to bring them a world series Eh?
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 3, 2017 -> 06:27 PM) Oh stop, that joke is so 2 years ago. I do find it funny Tony was so quick to say I was wrong and then it quickly came out I might not be. You “worry” about the cubs signing every major free agent, without fail. When you stop then the joke won’t be current anymore
  10. I don’t know why everyone is surprised that fathom wants the cubs to sign Ohtani
  11. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 3, 2017 -> 06:12 PM) Evan Grant‏Verified account @Evan_P_Grant I think only clubs being told they are out are commenting on Ohtani. Jon Daniels has made no comment. Take that as you wish. YEAH AND HAHN HASNT SAID ANYTHING EITHER
  12. Fox about to be 0/7 when favored to win as a bear HC
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 3, 2017 -> 01:15 PM) In hindsight, Jimmy G looks like he would have been a better pick than Ego Ferguson. Couldn’t risk upsetting the Cutler
  14. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 3, 2017 -> 12:58 PM) I know announcer talk is boring but this color guy is horrific on the bears game. Agree
  15. Derrick must see be having a hard time dealing with the fact that he is just a guy now
  16. QUOTE (Jack Parkman @ Dec 3, 2017 -> 09:59 AM) If that was the case, there was no reason for anyone to pay anything anyway because nobody would have wanted to give something for an asset they could get for free. That doesn’t make any sense. If the Bears tried to trade him three years ago before he became a RFA they could have moved him no problem for a good deal. It was before all of the bulls*** injuries and PED suspension
  17. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Dec 3, 2017 -> 03:33 AM) I'm not a Trump fan. I just don't think Flynn is a traitor at this point. Evidence could change that, but at this point I'm in no position to make that judgement. Same with collusion. Unless I missed something. It's not like Turkey secretly called Flynn and said "Hey is this Flynn? Don't worry the call is scrambled, untraceable. Kipnap the cleric for $15M but don't tell anybody." Fricken Woolsey was there talking about it. Just speculating (not judging) this situation is why he wanted immunity. Perhaps the US was considering this move but couldn't put their hands on it obviously. Perhaps using Flynn's company was a government op. Speculating here of course. Thinking Turkey called Flynn and offerend him 15M for a kidnapping op is ridiculous. There's gotta be more to it than that right? You keep saying “I’m not a Trump fan, but I think all of this is made up” in some fashion or another. Why does everyone in this administration keep getting caught in outright lies? If this is all a ruse, then why the cover up?
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 2, 2017 -> 02:25 PM) Would he have even garnered a 7th rounder if he was on the 2nd year WR franchise tag? He got $27 million guaranteed in this deal, he would have been getting >$18 million this year under the 2nd year tag. They have been saying he didn’t want to be in Chicago past his rookie deal since 2014. They have had plenty of time to deal him if that is the case, and it certainly seems to be the case. At this point even a 7th rounder would have been better than the Nothing the bears received
  19. He should have been traded, that’s all. No asset like that should just walk away
  20. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 1, 2017 -> 05:58 PM) Gowdy, Benghazi panel settled wrongful firing suit with $150,000 in public funds https://www.washingtonpost.com/powerpost/go...m=.87226aebb92b Fired a guy for not going along with the Benghazi bs I think Gowdy is a shameless huckster just like most people do, but I’m kind of conflicted about this. It makes it seem like Gowdy was his boss and told him to work on this project and the guy said no. Gowdy is his boss, I don’t understand why it is wrongful firing if the guy refuses to do the work assigned to him? Am I misreading this?

    Flynn finally flipped
  23. QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Dec 1, 2017 -> 02:08 PM) Careful, I've seen a fake Flynn Jr. twitter account being passed around. Something about "Dad is a good guy, got caught up with bad people." The real account doesn't have any post for the last few days (unless what you're referring to was deleted). Yea i think i must be looking at the fake one.
